12/21/2010 12:57:41 AM those are really hot! i already have new 390s unopened still though...
12/14/2010 5:41:43 PM personally i'd want a Skate banana! think it's just a better board. going to be fun and fairly versatile. i feel i can ride anything but i wouldn't get a board just because i'm a beginner and it's labeled as a beginner board. maybe if u plan to stay a beginner forever sure that makes sense.
12/13/2010 3:03:04 PM not really digging the denim boarding pants either. thought the comment about making bindings look like rentals was funny lol. But then again I thought jeggings were a bad idea too. After seeing them in person I liiiiike.
12/8/2010 3:01:52 PM you are mad skinny! i'm 5'9" 155-160, 29 waist. always get Small in boarding pants... I think generally you should get whatever your boxer/brief size is unless you like them really, really baggy OR if you wear liner underneath.
12/8/2010 1:18:11 PM I'd rather get a stunt if it was my only board. But I actually am looking into a reverse crew because all of my other boards are soooffffttt.
12/8/2010 1:09:05 PM i'd be interested if not for rook.
12/7/2010 10:09:24 PM I usually browse by lowest price first. Think by greatest % off would be something I'd do too.
11/16/2010 10:15:40 AM thanks wd40! this sounds pretty good at $60/night to stay at the Inn.
The quoted room rates are based on single or double occupancy; extra person charges are in effect.
that means up to 2 w/o extra charge yeah?
11/10/2010 2:17:26 PM yeah it makes sense for step-ins that beginners rent. I remember sitting next to my friend on the lift, 1/4 way up the mountain, and all of a sudden her board just drops haha. Fortunately there wasn't a trail below but if it had hit someone it could've been tragic.
11/9/2010 5:59:43 PM Yeah true... I'm used to that being 3+ hours though haha so I can deal. I think I'd rather be equal distance to both mountains. haha will check this out right now. have you any experience with this? Oh sorry it's 299+tax now which is still great I think. I have been looking on craigs and people rent out rooms for like $400 to $500 per month so i'm looking into that. My friend has student teaching after first week of january so can't really go as planned so I guess I'll go solo = (. If anyone is an asian male you can come join me and use my friend's pass hahaha.
11/9/2010 5:44:55 PM oo that Canyons pass sounds like it'd be fun! Maybe I'll get that some time before I graduate and just spend all of January out there = ). I got the stratton, okemo, sunapee pass for $278. Plan to do just about all of my riding in January and looking into renting a room for the month.
10/13/2010 3:15:54 PM oh ... my ... god. bookmarked and added to my bucketlist
10/13/2010 10:31:28 AM thanks guys will def. check those out right now. I got the Stratton-Okemo-Sunapee college pass for $260+tax so don't need any deals including lift but will keep in mind if any friends want to join me out there!
10/11/2010 7:32:57 PM Hey guys I want to do a ton of january boarding at Okemo + Stratton. I'm really only limited in how many days I can go by lodging ($$). would be nice to find something in between stratton + okemo (google maps shows 45min drive from stratton to okemo so maybe somewhere 25-30min from both mountains) but any cheap lodging close to either mountain would be appreciated. In the past we've just piled a lot of us into 1 room and it was cheap no matter where we stayed, but this year the crew is only 2 strong. Any suggestions/past experience would be so helpful!
10/10/2010 7:03:11 PM eh both have equally great reviews. i would see if you can check them out in person if you are really torn, and maybe see if they'll let you check how well your boot fits in them. Otherwise just pick whichever u think looks nicer haha Personally I have 390s and everyone I ride with either has contacts, forces or the union/sierra collab and we're always going back and forth debating which is best. I think the Unions are lighter, but seem like they have less substance to them. The Romes seem bulkier maybe and the straps are like gel-ier (?).
