10/11/2010 7:32:57 PM Hey guys I want to do a ton of january boarding at Okemo + Stratton. I'm really only limited in how many days I can go by lodging ($$). would be nice to find something in between stratton + okemo (google maps shows 45min drive from stratton to okemo so maybe somewhere 25-30min from both mountains) but any cheap lodging close to either mountain would be appreciated. In the past we've just piled a lot of us into 1 room and it was cheap no matter where we stayed, but this year the crew is only 2 strong. Any suggestions/past experience would be so helpful!
9/22/2010 12:44:45 PM http://sospass.com/ I think this looks really good. I haven't been to any of these mountains recently but a pass that is good for stratton, okemo, and sunapee for $279 tax included looks sweet. Think I might pull the trigger - only problem is that it's a long drive from nyc and 1-day tickets are so much that it will be hard to get my friends to come with me... had a windham season pass last year and camelback year before. Getting farther and farther away each year lol. oh yeah, similarly if anyone is interested there is a Sunapee - Gunstock - Wildcat college pass for $239. Too far for me...
12/17/2009 12:37:19 AM I was wondering if anyone knows of any? I'd be looking for liberal arts or english maybe? I have season passes to windham mountain and camelback mountain.
3/4/2009 12:00:19 PM Hey guys I was looking at the Rome United bindings and I've been looking over the description and specs and can't really figure out the difference from the 390s. Are they very similar? I have 23 riding days on the 390s this season and I really love them for everything basically and kind of just wanted to know how the Uniteds are in comparison. I haven't been able to find much to read up on the Uniteds, I guess because this is the first year they are out. http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/bindings/390/ 7 toeside flex, 6 heelside flex, 6 side2side flex SF glass-filled baseplate - Tweakability side-to-side http://www.romesnowboards.com/product/bindings/united/ 5 toeside flex, 6 heelside flex, 6 side2side flex United unibody baseplate - A consistent, moderate flex profile in all directions
12/18/2008 7:53:56 AM I've been checking Yahoo weather and weather.com religiously nowadays. Each day I check it, it gets a little bit more promising, and I woke up to this today: Poconos (Tannersville, PA) Tonight: late night snow showers, 70% chance of snow Friday: TEN inches of snow 100% chance chance of snow Saturday: few snow showers Sunday: wintry mix Monday: few snow showers Also Catskills is getting 5-8 inches friday. should be good all around this weekend.
12/3/2008 8:35:46 AM Can someone move my review to the correct product? I wrote a review for the Salomon Dialogue 09, but I meant to review the Salomon Dialogue Wide 09... I clicked on the wrong thing.
11/25/2008 9:05:27 PM lol this might be a stupid question because anyone else with the same problem as me won't be able to reply.... But for some reason I can't reply to other forum posts. When I click the reply or quote button I get this: "error '80020009' /forum/new_reply_form.asp, line 280" This happens on both my desktop and laptop...
11/24/2008 11:39:34 PM "The Mall = Suck. Just stay home. Snowboard Only Day Today!" So far I've seen a Burton Jeremy Jones 1 of 1 for $209... that's it so far though. Oops that is snowboard only day as in snowboard gear. I've seen Burton Ions, Jeremy Jones, wheelie bag, and now EST Uninc bindings.
11/21/2008 11:50:13 AM My boots are Salomon Dialogue Select Wides Size 9. I found Rome 390s 2008 for 50% off... under $100 shipped with tax so I'll probably pick up a pair since I need bindings. The sizing chart says S-M = 6-9 and L/XL is 9+. The store has this in stock in both M and L. I'm thinking size L? Anyone try these on with Salomon wide boots?
11/11/2008 5:01:44 PM Hey guys, I placed two orders like 30-45 minutes after the 70% off sale was first announced. The second order I placed has been processed, however the first order has not been, and I just want to make sure everything is going OK. The order that I am concerned about has items that I ordered for my friend Jacky, and he originally ordered those items on October 29th (Order Number 61945), realized after a week that the order had not been processed after I told him that the shipping status should have said that it has been shipped. Then he sent you guys an email, and then Sierra finally processed it on Nov. 6th. But by the time the order was processed, the items had gone out of stock, and he was sent a processed return order (63246). My Order 64014 has been processed, but my order 64001 has not been. I understand that you guys are extremely busy and have a lot of orders to sort through with the 70% sale; I just wanted to make sure that I say something before the items go out of stock again and that my friend Jacky doesn't get let down twice in a row. Thanks guys. - Benson
11/6/2008 5:12:05 PM Hey this went unanswered in live chat so I'll try again... I was wondering if the goretex insert on the Burton AK Clutch Gloves (Men's) is removable? It sounds like it would be, but then if I look these gloves up on backcountry it says "Removable Liner: No, fixed brushed microfiber".
11/5/2008 2:11:23 PM Rockband: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U7uTP-WMRg Guitar Hero: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCyfKWu4YQ0 Anyone here care? Don't tell me you are cool to play them, because Kobe, Michael Phelps, Tony Hawk, and A.Rod do... lol. Which one wins? The Guitar Hero commercial wins hands down... I'm a fan of Rockband1 but am thinking about Guitar Hero...
10/30/2008 12:20:13 PM Man I've been ITCHING to get out there. And it's possible to get out there in about 2 weeks!!! - "Wax On! Scheduled opening day is Friday, Nov. 14." - Killington - Dec. 6 - Mountain Creek - "scheduled to open for the season on December 5, 2008" - Camelback edit: - OPENING DAY ANTICIPATED 11/28/2008 - Belleayre - "Opening on November 22nd!" - Hunter Mountain - "opening day on November 22nd!" - Okemo - November 22nd - Jiminy Peak - November 21st (4pm-10pm ride for free) - Big Boulder - open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23 - Windham
10/29/2008 3:48:06 PM Hey guys, I just got a pair of Spy Omegas in the mail. The lens on them is one of the mirrored tints for bright, sunny days, and I will need a setup for night-riding. Is it easy to interchange lenses? Does it make more sense to buy 2 pairs of goggles with different lenses in them than to buy different lenses and change them within the same goggle? I read in another forum that someone bought another model of Spy goggles, I think the comet or orbit or something, and they tried changing the lens and it never fit the right way again, the lens that is, and it was always a little bit off after that. So anyone have experience with Spy goggle lens replacement, specifically Omegas? I think Targas II might also be the same because on one of the sites that I looked to buy Omega lenses, it says they are also compatible with Targa IIs. "Removing Lenses 1. Grasp goggle with both hands 2. Starting at the top of the goggle, gently pull frame away from lens to disengage lens notches from frame posts 3. Rest removed lens face up. Placing lens face down may cause scratching Installing Lenses" Installation basically just says stick it in according to the notches
10/19/2008 10:56:17 PM Hey guys I'm heading to the store this weekend and I'm going to try on as many pairs of boots that I can (http://www.sunandski.com is their website). I was hoping you guys could recommend a good brand or even specific models of boots that are good for riders with relatively wide feet? I wear an 11-11.5 casually, but my actual foot size is 10.5. When I wear performance shoes, such as track running spikes, I need a 10.5 wide or an 11 or else my toes will be way cramped. If it matters, I ride a lib tech MC Kink 08 and I also picked up the $99 Palmer Flash. My style is that I like to go fast and hit little jumps and rollers. I have both feet pointed forward at kind of extreme angles and for most of a run I just face forward and go straight down. I usually wear both my boots and bindings kind of loose. Most importantly I want something comfortable and I don't necessarily need all of the high-tech gizmos and stuff. I'm not sure if their inventory is the same in-store and online, but the brands they have on-line are: Burton,Flow,K2,Ride,Salomon,Thirtytwo,Vans. Thanks in advance! I'd really like some input so that I'm not overwhelmed when I go to the store, and so that I can give the salespeople some kind of direction at least, and also so that I can see how competitive they are with prices etc. (i.e how much cheaper it would be to get from sierra).
