11/3/2012 9:41:51 PM If by correct you mean grabbing his arm so he had one hand to try to catch the ball with you are right, watch the play again, it was very obvious. And there are a few teams in the Big 10 better than Penn St. Ohio St., Nebraska, Michigan, and Michigan State.  The only good team Penn St. has beaten this year is Northwestern. They even lost to Ohio![/QUOTE] First I will say there were some bad calls both ways for Nebraska and Michigan State. The pass int. on Kenny Bell can be argued forever (some say Kenny locked his arm under, blah blah...) Doesn't matter, there was a LOT more game to decide the outcome. I think the few bad calls came out about even.   I would have to agree that Ohio State is the best in the Big 10, but Penn State is not the 2nd best. According to outcomes of games this season I would say Michigan or Nebraska. Yes, the whole conference is not a powerhouse. These are just my opinions.
11/3/2012 7:43:22 AM I miss a couple days of looking at this thread and it became hard to find! (well, just on the 2nd page) A lot of great ranked matchups today!   Alabama @ LSU Oregon @ USC Oklahoma State @ Kansas State Texas @ Texas Tech Texas A&M @ Mississippi State
11/3/2012 7:34:44 AM Out Cold is my favorite snowboarding movie (not that there are a lot to choose from). Haha, does anyone remember Johnny Tsunami? Disney channel original, classic.
11/3/2012 7:31:42 AM James Harden is playing crazy good! Not like he wasn't before with the Thunder, I'm still sad it didn't work out for him to stay there.   My NBA fantasy draft was auto-draft... I didn't pay close enough attentions and I picked up 3 players that are out and 2 that are day-to-day. Ugh
10/31/2012 6:03:42 AM We all know it's about money in the end, and I'm sure the new movies will make plenty of it. I do agree with several of you that I want generations to come to at least KNOW what star wars is. I don't like making a reference to Coyote and Roadrunner and kids give me a blank stare haha.
10/30/2012 5:57:23 AM Top 3 things I'm looking forward to:   1. Derrick Rose returning and playing at full strength 2. Oklahoma City (even without Harden) playing their fast-pace offense. Hope to see them in Finals 3. D-Wade and the Heat and how they do after wining the championship. After the 2006 one, the 2007 year was not so great.
10/29/2012 5:54:50 AM If Lou Holtz ever retires I think you could fill his spot! lol. Now the question is can you do this week in and week out?!   Looking at the top 25 rankings, there are so many teams that have come and gone and some come again back into the top 25.
10/28/2012 7:59:42 AM Yeah, Wisconsin is not as strong as the past few years. And them losing to Michigan St yesterday doesn't help them haha.   I saw parts of the ND/Okla game (was focused on Neb/Mich, which was a battle back and forth until Denard Robinson got hurt). ND just took off in the 4th quarter! In Oklahoma's final drive attempt, the snap went rolling under Landry Jones' legs into the endzone. They just mentally did not have it together and ended up turning it over on 4th down in ND territory.
10/27/2012 5:33:48 AM I find it a little impressive that Penn State is fired up enough to win those games. After all that has happened and then not being eligble for post-season, as a student that might make you a little bitter to give it your all. It's also interesting to watch Ohio State and Penn State lead the Leaders division... so basically the 3rd place team will go to the Big 10 Championship game if they keep it up.
10/26/2012 8:50:41 AM You hit this one on the head. I was going to use the Pontiac example as well. The cost of keeping another brand, especially the separate marketing and sometimes competiting with yourself is tough. If any of the brands were selling enough products I'm sure that brand would not be part of this decision.
10/24/2012 9:59:53 PM The Big 12 has been beating each other a lot. Being a Nebraska fan, I miss the old Big 12. I grew up with that conference and the rivalries were great. It will be interesting to see if KState can keep it going. Oregon vs USC game should be a good one. I can honestly say I will be rooting for Oregon, just haven't been a big fan of USC over the years. ND/Oklahoma should be great. Both programs with so much history, just that Oklahoma has had more recent success. Does ND still use real gold when painting their helmets? I was told yes but never sure if that is just a rumor.... you know, with today's economy haha. Nebraska vs Michigan is a big game for the Legends division of the Big 10. I hope it is a fun game to watch. Both quarterbacks have multiple threats which should keep things interesting.
10/24/2012 9:24:43 PM There is so much behind marketing and brand equity. I see people that have never been on a mountain wearing Burton everything. You just don't see that with these other brands. This makes me glad since so many people are "posers" as some people call them. But in today's economy, it's about which brand makes the money. Forum would survive if the money was rolling in. Someone would buy it. Just my opinion... I would love to see all the brands stay.
10/24/2012 8:56:34 PM I feel like my Gravis shoes will be collector's items now. I remember how excited I was to get such cheap shoes that still looked cool and felt decent to wear. Always hate to see these brands disappear and the jobs that will go with them.
10/23/2012 5:56:00 AM I agree about Bama not looking quite as good... but I haven't seen a team yet that week in and week out looks solid enough to beat them. I also feel I have heard a lot of teams that are "younger" this year.
10/21/2012 8:08:35 AM Tons of great rivalry games and some revenge games yesterday. This is what makes college football exciting! And also causes heart problems haha. Glad the huskers won, despite the mistakes. I will say Northwestern has a good program building, I like seeing teams get rebuilt and become a threat. Hopefully they start to get their fan-base up. Crazy seeing that much red at their stadium!
