12/5/2012 4:18:31 PM the winky face frightens me.
12/5/2012 3:34:41 PM Anybody want to hit up Sierra on Sunday?
1/5/2012 2:53:03 PM One time my roommate put his meat in my GF and didn't even clean up the mess after.  My GF had dripped all over and it was really smelling by the time I got home.  Pissed.
1/4/2012 2:39:48 PM Is it a sin to consider becoming a skier?
12/28/2011 2:05:12 PM How about those powder days now hookers?!?!?!?!  Bahahahaha I bet you miss those??  huh huh??? :)
8/29/2011 12:59:03 PM If you can hit Sierra on a good pow day you will find there is no equivalent.  Out of the places I have been in Utah, Colorado, and Cali, even locals from those spots agreed, the best Pow day they ever had was at Sierra. Other then that, NorthStar has a sick park.  Heavenly has a sweeeeettt backcountry run called Firebreak, best to hit on or shortly after some freshies, and if you have fun with it you can spend a solid hour + riding it.  Kirkwood is nice and different, but tucked way back in nowhereland.  There is no shitty resort in Tahoe...except maybe Homewood when they dont set up the parks, but for $25 no complaints here.  Hit me up when you come out this way.
3/29/2011 5:00:12 PM Stick to the topic of Pow > Park!!!! :)
3/27/2011 9:59:52 PM So Hana what you are saying is Powder > Park? And yeah we have lots of people we ride with....but we are good friends so we have to argue about stuff :)
3/27/2011 9:51:58 PM And you are a REAL snowboarder, you know I just have to give you crap :)
3/27/2011 9:51:13 PM ParkRat530.....bahahahahaha >:) You will have aaaaallllllllll of April to ride park......... dking:
But normally, pow days happen less often than non-pow days. We're just lucky right now, take advantage. Some places don't get any real pow days. Your bud will have plenty of park days in the coming month or so. Tell him to lighten up and ride the pow while you can.
3/27/2011 8:52:44 PM This is exactly what I say.
3/27/2011 8:50:37 PM Half the time the park isn't even set-up on a powder day.  The basis of this post is, Park Vs Powder  not feelings, friends and all that stuff,  I have given in and hit some park before, it's not an all or nothing thing, but Park vs Powder
3/27/2011 8:36:07 PM I agree, park is more consistent.  If you want to argue with that approach, riding powder will A) Make you more aware, you have to constantly be looking changing terrain.B) Build stronger "snowboard" musclesC) More confident, if you can hit some rock, lip, wall where you can't see the other side, when you go back to riding park in the spring you can go "oh yeah this jump is easy, I can actually see where I am going to land"
3/27/2011 8:16:52 PM not-ewrx: In Tahoe you can find untouched tracks all day, rock drops, logs, so much natural it's ridiculous :)  It's not just dropping off on the side off groomers. :)
3/27/2011 8:02:20 PM Ok...so here's the story.  It has been snowing in Tahoe, a lot, for the past month.  Every time in the past month I have ridden with my friend it has been a powder day.  Every time he asks me, "Do you think the parks will be open" "can we ride park".  It's a powder day, and not six inches of powder, 10, 12, 14 and some days we even had 18-24 inch overnight fall.  He says he is tired of riding powder.  I keep telling him he isn't a real snowboarder if he would rather be hitting (medium) park features instead of hitting backcountry gates and sick ass tree runs at Northstar, Sierra, and Heavenly.  Here is the question: On a powder day would you ride park?   I keep referring him to this video, the first 15 seconds says it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3MJyrLRvHk
