10/15/2011 10:22:10 AM As far as I understand, they tried to get Neversummer a few years back, but were turned down.  Neversummer is fairly picky about the merchants they let sell their products.  Although it would be sweet if they did carry their boards.
9/26/2011 10:38:44 AM Hot Pot is typically an asian style of cooking food where you're given a pot of boiling broth and tons of raw meat/veggies which you basically cook yourself in the pot.  It's awesome.  It's similar to shabu-shabu, which is essentially Japanese-style hot-pot, and fondue, which is the French-style.
9/22/2011 1:54:42 PM Diablo 3 is going to be sweet.  A lot of people have been streaming the beta if anyone's interested in how it plays/looks.
9/7/2011 10:01:50 AM I cannot believe nobody has mentioned Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.  Just look at this picture and tell me it doesn't look like one of the most epic, relatively new, anime ever. Giant robot battles, swords, screaming, spaceships, and women in bikinis wielding giant sniper rifles.  What more could you ask for? Seriously, check out the series.  The best thing to come along in a while.

2/22/2011 3:27:42 PM I recently got a gopro for dragonboating and riding, but my lack of snowboarding skill/style have yielded fairly dull videos for anyone who wasn't actually skiing/riding with me.  I did, however, manage to get some footage from ziplining and timelapse when I went out to Costa Rica a few weeks ago (only the helmet footage and timelapse footage are from the gopro, the rest is from a canon sd780). 11/18/2010 1:53:19 PM I have a pair of EG2s, and they fit over glasses, but where the glasses sneak under the goggles near my temple, my glasses get squeezed quite a bit.  So, when taking off the goggles, my glasses usually get pulled off with them.  It also takes me a bit of tweaking with my glasses to get them positioned correctly under the goggles when putting them on. Glad you've had a good experience with them using glasses, but it was too much of a hassle for me, so I switched to daily contacts for riding.
10/13/2010 8:03:51 AM Kinda late to this discussion, but Mumford and Sons is awesome.  A British band, but they do Americana way better than a lot of American folk rock groups. Oh, and I'm listening to the new Sufjan Stevens album, Age of Adz.  Pretty good.
9/17/2010 11:43:41 AM Cool that you're doing this fost.  I'm picking up a college pass to Sugarloaf/Sunday River/Loon this season, but I'm also thinking of picking up the student pass at wawa for weekday nights.  Decisions...
9/14/2010 7:52:28 AM So I wear glasses, and I used to go with these cheapo Smith OTG goggles.  While they fit over glasses quite well, they were pretty low quality.  Some of the larger goggles also work over glasses, and I can vouch for both the Electric EG2's and VZ Feenoms working over glasses decently well. The thing is, despite goggles being able to fit over glasses, since glasses add an extra layer of material which impedes air circulation, the glasses themselves often fog up.  You just need to make sure your glasses aren't too bulky and that your goggles have adequate air circulation, and you should be okay. In my case, I recently got some daily contacts just for the purpose of snowboarding/snowsports and they work great.  Contacts definitely won't pop out after a fall.  Glasses got annoying when I wanted to take off/put on my goggles, because it does take some time to adjust both set of lenses to make sure everything is hunky dory.  But even if you don't want to go to contacts, there are plenty of goggle options available to you that are compatible with glasses.
8/19/2010 6:38:12 AM I saw that yesterday.  Epic.
8/19/2010 6:02:05 AM played the beta for a while, but just got the full version.  loads of fun.  it's horrendous how bad i am right now though. anyone got an extra guest pass they're not planning on using?
7/20/2010 7:03:52 AM I think that all this means is leo picks his project well (usually).  e.g. blood diamond, shutter island, the departed. In terms of the movie, yeah, I loved it.  And I agree about a lot of the feel being like batman.  But the story/plot, I'm sure, took a ton of inspiration from memento.  I read he actually started writing the screenplay for inception during the filming of memento, more than 10 years ago.  It has that layered complexity that makes you think, just like memento.
7/2/2010 8:37:39 AM wow, crazy.  although brazil is just a team of superstars who don't always play well as a team.  they're seriously almost as arrogant as argentina.
