1/11/2010 12:14:26 PM Hey Sierra Community! As one of the contributing writers in the Sierrasnowboard.com media section, I'm going to write an article on which company has the best snowboard graphics for 2010.  Based on the results of this poll, I will contact the company that you voted as the company with the sickest board graphics this year.  I'll do a Q&A with the person responsible for creating/selecting the graphics and post the article to the media section. So, who do you think has the sickest graphics?  If you choose "other" please post a reply to this thread with the company name of your choice. Also, if you have any questions you'd like me to ask in the Q&A with the winning company, post them below and I'll try to work them into the article. Thanks! Ray
1/11/2010 9:13:45 AM So, a few months ago I started a thread asking the community for suggestions on the type of board I should get my 7 year old son for Christmas and tips on the best way to teach him to snowboard. Just thought I'd update everyone on the results. I spent the last 2 weeks at Brighton resort in Utah trying to teach my son to snowboard.  To tell you the truth, I didn't have high hopes that he would like it.  He is only 7 and he doesn't take to falling down and failing at things very well.  To my surprise, he caught on very quickly and loves the sport.  By the end of his first day, he was trying to take small jumps and by the end of his third day he could make it down a green run and only fall once or twice.  Overall, the trip was a huge success! Many thanks to the Sierra community and especially Doug and Mike for all of the tips and suggestions on how to make the experience of teaching my son to snowboard a lot of fun. Here's a picture of Cadon on his first day and a video of him trying to hit a (small) jump at the end of his first day.

11/3/2009 12:08:11 PM Anyone waiting to jump on the Xbox 360 bandwagon and kill Phatman, now's your chance. This Saturday, Walmart is doing a deal where if you buy the xbox360 arcade for $199, you get a $100 gift card with your purchase.  Basically a half price xbox.  Sure, you have to buy a harddrive but you can get a 20 gig on ebay for $35. Just thought I'd pass this along to anyone that is interested.
9/30/2009 9:11:13 AM Hey guys.  Zoe said she hadn't had time to do the "I KILLED PHATMAN" die cut design yet. So, I thought I'd take a stab at it.  I got all of the fonts and blood splats and guns off of dafont.com.  So, let me know if you like any of them at all and I can let Zoe know the name of the font.  Then, she can just download it and create the vector for cutting. Or, if they all suck just let this thread die and wait for Zoe to make the design.  Whatever. Oh, the splats and guns can be added or removed from any of the text.  They are actually a separate font from the text that I just added for the helluvit.
9/29/2009 4:01:56 PM This is awesome!  http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE58S02J20090929?rpc=64 I hate douches that leave their phones on in the theater, movies, weddings, funerals, church, etc.  Glad I'm not "That Guy."
9/17/2009 9:41:22 AM Bindings are SOLD.  The '09 Sierra Crew 157 is SOLD. Thanks.
9/9/2009 1:55:11 PM I've been a member of the Sierra community for almost a year but you may not know me because I mainly keep to myself and don't join in on the photoshop wars, etc.  But, I do have a few questions that I thought you may be able to help with. I know this is a boring thread and doesn't have any pics of hot chicks, or photoshopped pics of Zoe, Shaka, or Stef.  And, it's not about bacon or COD4.  But, I thought I'd put it out there and see what I can gather from your combined experience anyway.  Thanks. So, my son turned 7 this last year and, just like every boy, he wants to be just like his Dad (well, any boy that doesn't have a drunk s.o.b. for a Dad anyway). He wants to learn to snowboard this year.  I'm writing this post because I love the Sierra community and I'm looking for help with a few things. 1.  He needs a board, bindings, and boots.  I'm not a freeloader so I won't ask for free stuff but does anyone know where I can get a deal on a board/boots/bindings or does anyone have any that may fit my son that they want to sell?  He's really tall for his age, almost 5 feet and weighs 70 pounds. 2.  Suggestions on a good board for him.  Again, he's almost 5 feet tall and weighs 70 pounds. 3.  Suggestions on how to teach him.  I have helped older riders learn how to ride but are there any tricks for teaching a kid? 4.  I'm planning a trip to Utah in early January to teach him.  Suggestions on the best place to go? That's about it.  Thanks again.
2/13/2009 11:06:33 AM Heading to Sunrise in Arizona.  Anyone else?
2/12/2009 8:47:40 AM I have been trying to find a way to give back to this community and help out my fellow snowboarders.  I love this site and the whole concept behind the community. So, I know that a lot of us can't board without our iPods.  I also know that some of us may have broken iPods or maybe don't have an iPod at all because we lost it or whatever. I would like to offer a 10% discount on my website for all Sierra customers.  The discount can be used as many times as you want and for any iPod repair or iPod purchase.  Pass it on to your friends.  Go to www.restoredoctors.com and use the coupon code sierra10% at checkout and the 10% will be deducted automatically. I hope you guys think this is a good idea. **EDIT** If you can't find something you want/need on the site, PM me and I will get you a price.  I can get any part or iPod you want/need.
2/11/2009 7:55:18 AM I was considering getting a helmet for safety reasons and was wondering how many of you guys actually wear helmets when you board.
2/10/2009 4:08:32 PM I haven't seen a Sierra Crew review on here.  It would be great if someone could post one.
