12/26/2010 3:11:07 PM I'm looking for: 2010 Capita Indoor Survival traditional camber Size: 152   I like the graphic, I want the board! I'd be willing to trade a 152 Sierrascope in flawless condition or just pay with money.   I don't want any other size, I DO NOT want FK.   -Alex
5/18/2009 5:37:52 AM Not sure if many of you have done this. But my wife and I got the cheap space sack. But with no padding I didn't like that. So we made liners for the bags. Just thought I'd share!
5/8/2009 6:14:02 PM So my mother in law is visiting us here in Delaware from Arizona. I've recently recieved orders to Hawaii through the Air Force. I jokingly mentioned that she can buy me a surfboard for Christmas, and she laughed it off.   So today we went to the beach here (no waves) and decided to go to a surf shop. She and my wife checked out all the clothes while I scoped out the surfboards. Well she saw me and came up to me and asked if that was the one I wanted. I laughed and said sure. She said, well it's on sale, I'll get it for you. MY JAW DROPPED and I didn't argue. It's an Anacapa Pro Standard 6'3. I don't know much about surfboards, but I'm sure it'll float. I use to have 2 surfboards back when I lived in Florida, but I bought them at yard sales and don't even remember the brands.   Now I need a site like sierra for surfing! I need a traction pad, the surf shop gave me a free leash and some wax. Anyone know of any sites with good deals like SS?     No actual pictures yet, but here's the board on their site. http://www.surfindustries.com/surfboards/anacapa_proStandard.php
5/2/2009 8:36:44 PM I've seen this a few times since browsing the forum in videos and such. Is this not bad for your board?
5/1/2009 5:57:47 AM Looking for 2009 Union Forces M/L, white or black.   Prefer new or hardly used.
4/25/2009 2:52:13 PM Normally luck isn't on my side. But recently I don't know what's going on. First I win a free sierra crew in Friday's giveaway, came in yesterday! It's gorgeous of course. Then I'm just walking around the mall today and I see snowboard gear on clearance. So I go check it out. As I sort through the junk nobody wanted, I find the 5150 boots I bought a few months ago for $90. Now these aren't great boots, but mind you, they're snowboard boots and they had them on sale for $15! I snatch em up and happily walk to the register. So now I have a new board, new boots, and hopefully my luck will continue with bindings to the finish the new set up! I figure the crew will be a good board to let my friend borrow when I'm not using it. (he has no gear, so the boots for $15 saved a headache if I loaned him my board) Just thought I'd share!
2/23/2009 7:54:58 AM So a friend told me to buy a 5150, being new to snowboarding I took his advice and bought it.. I have been lurking around these forums for a little while now and don't see any mention of this brand.. I see a lot of talk about capita.. The stairmaster interests me.. I'm very new to snowboarding, but I know what I'm going to want to do, and that is jumps and rails and stuff..  What my question is.. What do you guys think about 5150 boards? I haven't used it yet, so I can still return it, but do you think the capita stairmaster would be an okay board for a beginner? Right now all I do is cruise down the mountain until I can get better and know I won't eat snow on a jump.. But when I do get to that point, I want a board that I know is good for such a thing.. What do you guys think? Recommended boards?? I'd like to stay around $200.. EDIT: I have the 5150 'sect'. It's listed as an all mountain board.. Maybe use that until next season when I'm better and step up to the capita? I just need some advice!?
2/14/2009 1:46:21 PM I was curious, are you guys that do rails not worried about the rails scratching up and trashing the bottom of your boards? I just bought my first board and I'm sure I'll be doing rails eventually, but I'm skeptical because these boards aren't cheap and I would rather not trash it.   So after doing rails, how are your boards looking?
2/13/2009 5:46:16 PM Just wanted to say hi to the forum! I just recently went snowboarding for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I LOVED IT! I went again the following weekend and now I have a board bindings and boots in the mail on the way to my house as I write! I'm so excited, although I think I started a little late in the season! D'oh!  -Alex
