4/6/2014 9:02:12 PM Been a few years since I have been here but hello to everyone.  So the season is coming to a close and I am looking to grab a new board. It has been a long long time since i got a new one. I make it out for 10-12 days every year or so and have had a 05' ride theory for the past few years. Thing is finally beat and so far the contenders are the two mentioned in the thread title.  What say you and why? I tried reading up before asking such basic questions on tech that has been around for years but google sucks some times. I have been looking at the magnetraction for a while now and and want something a little less stiff than the current setup but Also heard great things about the Machete GT.  32 now so park is no longer an big thing for me but i still mess around a bit on the mountain. Main thing is I want all mountain that is fun, can go fast, and whip around in steep stuff with bumps in trees.  thanks for reading

3/30/2009 9:59:05 AM on top of us firing the CEO and now running a company when we cant even run the post office, read this.......scary stuff http://blogs.abcnews.com/polit...dent-ob-23.html One, the president will announce a new government-backed warranty program for all new GM and Chrysler vehicles purchased during this restructuring period. A fund will be set up equal to 125 percent of the total cost to pay for warranty service.  The auto makers will contribute 15 percent while the government will provide 110 percent, with the money coming from the economic stabilization funds, the gift that keeps on giving. A separate company will hold the funds and pay the claims even if one of the auto manufacturers goes into bankruptcy or out of business. The president will also name a Director of Recovery for Auto Workers and Communities. Edward Montgomery, labor economist and former Deputy Secretary of Labor, will serve in the role, helping autoworkers, communities, and regions adversely impacted by the can i help you fix this thread? pm meure of the automakers find new jobs, businesses, and industries. var vDiv = document.getElementById('MS_52288896'); if (vDiv != null) { var html = vDiv.innerHTML; html = html.replace(//g, ">"); html = html.replace(/&/g, "&"); vDiv.innerHTML = html; } Reply | Quote So not only will the US taxpayer be warrantiy every GM car, we are also going to be destroying the other successful automakers because they are not government subsidized. Man we are fuked.
3/27/2009 1:19:17 PM Brazil's President, while meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown Thursday, said the global financial crisis was caused by "white people with blue eyes." Luiz Inacio Lula da Silvamade made the comments after talks with Brown to try to forge a global consensus on how to save the worldwide economy. During a press conference, da Silva, a socialist who told Brown poor countries should not have to suffer because of the mistakes of the rich, suddenly pointed his finger at Brown and said, "This is a crisis that was caused by white people with blue eyes. And before the crisis, they looked as if they knew everything about economics." Sky News' Joey Jones said it was an "uncomfortable" moment for Brown. "The President does not mind using fairly flamboyant language. He likes to give extensive answers to journalists," he said. "But some of it was rather awkward for the Prime Minister, who was standing there listening to the President. A few eyebrows will have gone up at what he said." Downing Street says the remarks made by da Silva, who is white, were meant for "domestic consumption." Jones said: "People in Brazil are very frustrated and angry at what they feel is the injustice of the situation: a crisis that has essentially come from the banking sectors in places like the United States and the U.K., but is affecting their country." Following the meeting, Brown told reporters he will urge G20 leaders to back a multi-billion dollar fund to reverse a slide in world trade. "I'm going to ask the G20summit next week to support a global expansion of trade finance of at least $100 billion to help revive trade in all parts of the world," he said. A shortage of trade credit, which allows exporters and importers to settle accounts, has been a factor in a sharp drop in global trade which is exacerbating the economic downturn. Along with the trade stimulus plan, the Prime Ministersaid he wanted to see global standards on salaries in the finance sector. He went on to say he believes South America is key to achieving an agreement at next week's G20 summit in London.
3/27/2009 7:38:46 AM WASHINGTON (AFP) – President Barack Obama's intelligence chief confirmed Thursday that some Guantanamo inmates may be released on US soil and receive assistance to return to society. "If we are to release them in the United States, we need some sort of assistance for them to start a new life," said National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair at his first press conference. "You can't just put them on the street," he added. "All that is work in progress." Obama has vowed to close the controversial prison camp by next January and has ordered individual reviews for cases against each of the over 240 remaining prisoners. Blair told reporters that the review of Guantanamo cases was still underway, and that the government was "building dossiers on each of the detainees." The Obama administration is currently evaluating what could be done with the prisoners, he said, but pledged that if they are sent to another country, "we have to be sure that that country will treat them in a humane fashion." Twenty men detained at the remote US naval base at Guantanamo Bay in southern Cuba have been cleared of terrorism charges, including 17 Chinese Uighurs ordered released by a US court in June, seven years after their arrest. But the US says they may face persecution if returned to China. In an executive order signed days after he took office in January, Obama also promised to uphold the Geneva Conventions for the remaining prisoners until the detention center is closed. Blair touched on the controversial interrogation techniques used on terror suspects under the administration of president George W. Bush, saying that those methods -- including waterboarding, or simulated drowning -- would not be used under his tenure. But Blair, a retired US admiral, added that his team was examining other "enhanced interrogation techniques" for high-value detainees that comply with international conventions on prisoners of war. He did not elaborate on what methods would be used, but said such interrogations should be carried out by "government employees; they shouldn't be contractors; they should be highly trained, very supervised." ....so not only are we going to be releasing american hating terrorists on US soil, we will be giving them welfare to live a good life in the US while you work to pay for them.
