9/20/2013 11:11:04 AM Running the Burton Ambush again.  I wear a size 10 and they have the shinkage tech.  I am using (more or less) Rome bindings that I have cobbled together in size L/XL i'm wondering if i should go to the S/M with the boots I've got.  is anyone else running that combo?  i have the bindings down on the smallest setting to get my toe cap to stay.   anyways, ideas and input would be great before I order my new 390's.
4/15/2013 2:25:24 PM So I have football on the brain and I recall in the last number of years we have had a LOT of interest in the FFL's we have done.  Last years was very competitive and very active.  I am in a 30 team Dynasty Hockey league and it's a ton of fun, especially the ongoing aspect of it and keeping a blend of youth, picks, and stars.  30 teams for football might be a bit much  but that's the idea. I would like to start a Dynasty league for us and want to know if we have enough GM's (thinking 12-16? open to ideas/suggestions) that would also like to take part to make sure we have a competitive and fun group of guys and ideally a token woman member as well.   EDIT: below are the GM's we have signed up: zakklightning80dkingSintexoNate (zakk's brother)Pougediviestishwazy (?)bryman
3/22/2013 9:00:40 AM http://bit.ly/ZS2oXR chase snow all sping.  lots of flights to PDX and SEA to get some spring slush.
3/12/2013 9:26:53 AM Doing a lot of research and tried on a bunch of boots and I have it down to Nike Zoom DK and the Nike Kaiju  right now, I am in Burton Ambush that I'm OK with.  I like the flex in those, and so that is really what I am after.  I'm in a size 10 in those.   I'm going to be a 10.5 in Nike's which are going to fit my bindings better (L/XL rome's that are almost too big with the ambush with shink tech) So what I'd like to know is how the Nike's break in/how much they pack out.  anyone got some input? thanks!
12/23/2012 10:27:03 AM Won this on twitter and looking to sell it.  its an online only code and I've tried it in checkout.  want to get $400 for it.  Get yourself some top line gear, PM me and we can go over specifics.
12/4/2012 8:25:12 AM the consolidation of the snow world continues, looks like KSL is lining up to do battle with Vail Corp.   this looks likes the fun portion of the press release: [quote]KSL expects to hold the purchased shares for investment purposes. However, KSL and its affiliates expect to evaluate on an ongoing basis the Corporation’s financial condition and prospects and its interest in, and intentions with respect to, the Corporation and KSL’s investment. KSL and its affiliates may from time to time acquire additional common shares of the Corporation or may dispose of all or a part of their shares. In connection with KSL’s acquisition of Intrawest’s common shares, KSL will assume Intrawest’s rights and obligations under a registration rights agreement which will provide KSL the right to require the Corporation to qualify by prospectus all or a portion of its shares for distribution to the public in Canada, subject to certain conditions. The registration rights agreement is more fully described in the Corporation’s final prospectus dated November 2, 2010 and a copy is available on SEDAR at www.sedar.com under the Corporation’s profile. 9/17/2012 2:44:47 PM can't believe I'm quoting TMZ: http://www.tmz.com/2012/09/17/shaun-white-arrested-public-intoxication-trashing-hotel-room/#ixzz26lSBMipU [quote]Olympic gold medalist Shaun White was arrested several hours ago after allegedly getting wasted at a hotel and badly injuring himself ...  sources tell TMZ.Sources tell TMZ ... White was in a Nashville hotel when he allegedly trashed his room in a stupor.  When he was confronted by hotel staff, Shaun allegedly pulled several fire alarms and then ran fast ... so fast he fell and split his head open.Law enforcement tells us Shaun was arrested for public intoxication and vandalism, but was taken to a hospital for treatment first.  Once he's treated he'll be taken to jail.Shaun's rep could not be reached for comment. 7/24/2012 8:25:40 AM the other league didn't get renewed, so I'll take up the mantle.  Looking for ACTIVE managers.  I'm open to league style, would prefer 12 team PPR, but I'm whatever.   post up your email, first name, number of years playing in FFL.   In the event of a tie between two managers trying to enter the league, a 3-legged sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a winner is determined.

2/22/2012 7:08:07 AM The whole world is comin' to an end, Mal... http://www.snow.com/epic-pass/bestoftahoe.aspx http://news.vailresorts.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=1689?intcmp=SN000023 [quote] BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Feb. 22, 2012—Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Kirkwood Mountain Resort at Lake Tahoe, Calif., recognized by skiers and snowboarders as offering some of the best high alpine advanced terrain in North America. Vail Resorts is purchasing the ski resort as well as the undeveloped sites at the center of the base area which are zoned for residential and commercial development for a purchase price of approximately $18.0 million. The seller will retain a participation interest in the base area parcels and will continue to own the remainder of the real estate development sites. Following the acquisition, Vail Resorts will now operate three world-class mountain resorts in the Lake Tahoe region which between them offer the entire breadth of the skiing and riding experience, including Heavenly Mountain Resort in South Lake Tahoe, Northstar California on the north shore and Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Vail Resorts also announced that, effective immediately, Heavenly and Northstar pass holders will have access to Kirkwood and Kirkwood pass holders will be able to ski and ride Heavenly and Northstar. “We are thrilled to welcome Kirkwood into our family as our seventh world-class mountain resort. Kirkwood offers some of the most extraordinary ski terrain found anywhere in North America with high alpine trails and the most annual average snowfall in Lake Tahoe. Kirkwood represents skiing and riding at its purest, something we intend to retain and protect long into the future,” said Rob Katz, chairman and chief executive officer of Vail Resorts. “When combined with Heavenly and Northstar, we will be able to offer our guests and pass holders unparalleled value with the very best that Lake Tahoe has to offer. We are excited to be able to offer Kirkwood to our pass holders right away – it’s like opening day to a whole new season.”  As of today, Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass holders will have unrestricted access to ski and ride Kirkwood. Tahoe Value Pass holders can ski and ride there every day except on Saturdays. Kirkwood pass holders with the following passes will have access to Heavenly and Northstar: Premium Pass holders and 7 Wood Pass holders will have unlimited, unrestricted access to Heavenly and Northstar, while 6 Wood Pass holders will have access to Heavenly and Northstar six days a week, Sunday-Friday, with no holiday restrictions. 5 Wood Pass holders will have access to Heavenly and Northstar five days a week, Monday-Friday. The Company also announced that it intends to retain a Kirkwood-only season pass and Kirkwood-only daily lift tickets, priced comparably to what’s offered today. For more information on how to use your pass at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, visit www.bestoftahoe.com. Located about 35 miles southwest of South Lake Tahoe, Kirkwood Mountain Resort offers pure high alpine skiing and riding at its best. The ski resort’s unique location, completely surrounded by National Forest atop the Sierra Crest combined with elevations ranging 7,800 to 9,800 feet, create a geographical predisposition to receive the lightest, driest and most plentiful snow in the Tahoe region with an average of 472 inches annually. Kirkwood offers 2,000 feet of vertical drop and more than 2,300 acres of terrain from groomed beginner runs to hair-raising cornices, cliffs and the most high-angle grooming around. The resort offers four terrain parks, from beginner to advanced, as well as a Boarder X course.    Vail Resorts expects to close on the acquisition of Kirkwood Mountain Resort within the next month. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Closing is subject to certain conditions, including transfer of the U.S. Forest Service Permit.  About Vail Resorts Vail Resorts, Inc., through its subsidiaries, is the leading mountain resort operator in the United States.
