||The old code used for the sale expired like a week ago. My Z099PLAYT8X7Y code still works, I just tried it. Figured I'd pass the sale along since it's such a great deal. Any referral $$ can only be used at artscow... so I'm def. not in it for that.

|| Awesome dude! Where did you get those and how much do those run? Anyways.... Bought myself a Fixie with a flip flop hub, so plan on using it in single speed until i want to mess around on it on fixed. Bought some bullhorn bars to throw on it. Can't wait till the weather gets nice now.
What other bikes do you have?! Definitely curious since I'm looking at getting a single speed right now too... to join my other 3 :)

|| If you have only have had extruded bases then I agree with you....... but a sintered base NEEDS to be waxed.
my board that i never waxed for 10 years was extruded. But, like I said. Normally, once or twice a season is enough even for sintered base. If you are doing 100 days a season, you may need to wax more than 1 or 2 times... do it more if you are need the little extra performance. my point is, most people don't need to wax as often as they do. even in this thread people are saying they wax EVERY time they go out.
waxing isn't just about speed...it's about general maintenance and pride in your equipment. Waxing is also when I check/repair gouges and edge anomalies. It's about extending the life of your board (which few on this site seem to care about). granted, the steeper your local mountain, the less you have to worry about extended glide (although, it's always good to have for the occasional slow spot). My local spot, relatively to most resorts in the seirra nevada, is kinda flat and we get tons of natural snow on top of that. Waxing on a regular basis reduces unstrapping/walking by about 90%, here.
yup agreed.. and if it's extruded then yea, you don't have to wax. I figured you were talking about a sintered base,... hope that clears up my previous post

|| Nice double post. and these giveaways are by choice, they could have quit them all together. This is awesome that they do this at all... be grateful
|12/14/2010 12:41:39 PM
||yea I definitely recommend this , especially with your Burton boards! They don't detune those at all I have noticed with mine. always better to be prepared than to try and fix what you could have prevented!good tip of the day!

||I would really hate to be your car then. I am a huge stickler on maintenance in my car, I probably over do it. Usually flush the exhaust system once a year... on that note I will have to disagree with you. Conflict of interest or not, you should still definitely wax your board, you really don't notice any difference in performance or anything unwaxed/!?!
