"Nice and Comfy, but short! " 4/22/2010

  • Name: 2010 Burton Lucky Snowboard Pants
  • Pros:  nice color and design, comfy,
  • Cons:  short,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Short

Experience:   I have this one in Hibiscus. Everyone thinks it's cute and color is sick. It is well-designed and feels very comfy. My only complaint is that the pants are a little short. It fits right without wearing my boots. I am 5'2 so I consider myself a short person. However, once I wear my boots and get on ride, I really feel the pants can go a little bit longer.

  • Name: 2010 Oakley A Frame
  • Pros:  clear lens, cute ,

Experience:   When it comes to Goggles, Oakley is the best. The visibility of the lens are great, and no other brands can compare. I got Mango berry color, and everyone thinks it is super cute.
"Not enough protection" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Red Base Layer First Layer Shorts Women's
  • Pros:  Slim,
  • Cons:  not enough protection ,

Experience:   I didn't use any hip protection before purchasing this one. But I really feel no difference when I fall on it or not. Compared with my friends' hip pads, this one has a relative slim look, but, really, not enough protection.
"Great! " 1/19/2011

  • Name: 2010 Burton Buffer Snowboard Socks
  • Pros:  warm , comfy, extra pads
  • Fit:  Just right
  • Description:  Just right

Experience:   This is a great pair of socks. I brought it for a friend but I ended up wearing it myself. It is a little big for me-- women size M but I guess it is just right for male sizing. There are extra pads on the shin and I really like this design. I am not sure if they have the woman's version.

  • Name: 2009 Burton Jeremy Jones
  • Pros:  Great look, Nice design,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  8
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   I brought this one for my BF, who never wanted to try any snow sport. He loves it (and he started learning to ride). It looks great and he said it feels very comfy.
"Does the job" 4/22/2010

  • Name: 2008 Burton Mint Womens
  • Pros:  Price,
  • Fit:  stiff
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  7
  • Boot Size:  6.5

Experience:   I had this pair when I started learning boarding last year. It is okay for beginners who just want to have a pair of boots. Later I found that I have to tie the lacking every time when I had an aggressive ride. It is not for people who like to ride all day long.
"so cute" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Lush Snowboard Jacket Women's
  • Pros:  cute, function ,
  • Cons:  no wrist bend,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  slim

Experience:   I wanted a loose fit so I brought this one in M (I am usually size S). It fits great (loose enough but not baggy at all!)! I wear it on my every ride and I also wear it on street! Many of my friends told me it is a very cute jacket! I thought no wrist bend would cause powder/ice coming in but since I am using bigger gloves it doesn't trouble me!
"Not working" 4/12/2010

  • Name: 2010 Flow Muse Womens
  • Pros:  cheap,
  • Cons:  not good design,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I purchased this binding for a friend. Since she is a beginner, we think we would get a cheaper binding for her. I have to say, the design sucks. Some parts of the design doesn't make sense to me and they are not easy to use. For example, the high back could be adjusted in a very simple clip (like many other brand's models) but this one uses a weird wheel to roll a line that tightens the high back. Why makes a simple task in a complicated way? We finally figured one binding of the pair we got might even be defective and we will return it.
"Too long" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton TWC Flared Snowboard Pants
  • Pros:  Look,
  • Cons:  Too long,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Too long

Experience:   These pants are way too long. The size is right around wrist but it is just too long. I am thinking about returning them.
"It looks cute but...." 4/6/2010

  • Name: 2009 Burton Playa Hooded Thermal Top
  • Pros:  cute,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  okay

Experience:   It looks cute but it is not warm enough. I don't know why but I have to wear another layer inside of this one.
"Sizing" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dream Womens
  • Pros:  nice color and design,
  • Cons:  sizing is confusing,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  too big

Experience:   I ended up returning this jacket because it is too big. I have another Burton jacket(slim fit) that is size M (I usually wear size XS or S but I want my riding jacket loose). Thus I ordered a size M for this one. Way too big. Looks like a L. I have to say that Burton sizing is tricky. If you want rather a loose fit of this jacket, get your usual size will do.
"Nice boots" 4/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Responsive, light weight,
  • Cons:  Take a while to break in,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  7
  • Boot Size:  6.5

Experience:   My shoe size is usually 7 and it felt okay when I tried on boots of size 7. However, the size 7 still has space around my ankle and it didn't feel responsive enough while riding. I upgraded from Burton Mint to Sapphire, mostly because my Mint was size 7. With my new boots, they are very responsive and I never have to tighten them with so much efforts. They are well-shaped with the feet and ankles. The mechanism inside the boots somehow makes other fancy lacing systems pointless (Sapphire only has the very simple lacing mechanism). They are much lighter. I got White/Tan and the color looks wonderful.
