"Wax On The Go" 5/2/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Rub Down Wax
  • Pros:  If you don't have time to hot wax then Burton's rub down is perfect. You can use it to wax your board in the parking lot or even on the lift. The buffer works fine to even out the wax.
  • Cons:  It only last for a couple runs then you have to re-apply it again.

Experience:   A must have if you don't keep up w/ maintaining your board.
"It Does The Job" 5/2/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Nitrous All Temp Wax 6oz
  • Pros:  For east coast riding you definitely need an all around wax. Dakine's all temp wax holds up in all the conditions I've ridden on. The 6 oz bar can wax up to 4 boards.
  • Cons:  none

Experience:   Definitely beats having to pay $20+ every time to have a shop wax your board. Smells good and the best bang for the buck.
"Best Stomp Pad In The Market" 4/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Spike Stomp
  • Pros:  This is the cream of the crop of stomp pads. It grips tremendously and can definitely cover up to a size 13 boot (maybe bigger). The 25 spikes are more than enough to help you control the board coming off the lift. If the spikes are too much, then you can cut out however many spikes to your liking and how you want to position it. The material is soft enough to cut anyway you like but real strong to grip your boots. Even w/ snow covering it, your boots would still be able to grip it. Its that GOOD!!!
  • Cons:  NONE

Experience:   If you hate not being able to control your board or just sliding off your board from the lift, then this is the perfect stomp pad for you. Get your SPIKE ON!!!
"Awesome Investment!!!" 4/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  Definitely protects from breaking or spraining your wrists. Even on the worst falls you will not feel the impact on your wrists at all. Slim enough to fit under most gloves.
  • Cons:  Metal bar to protect your wrists is a tad bulky and can be uncomfortable at times. Wrist guard material can really make your hands sweaty fast.

Experience:   A definite investment for all riding levels if you don't want to get injured. Buy it now and I guarantee you will not have a hospital bill for a broken/sprained wrists!!!
"Cartel Binders" 4/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Cartel 2009
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Boot slippage
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Its not Burton's top of the line binders but it will mos def get the job done and for a good price!!! It's pretty responsive and can handle anything from the groomers to the park. The toe straps are comfy but have boot slippage problems when not tightened enough. If your a noobie, this is a must binder to have.
"Suh-weet!!!" 4/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Hitcher
  • Pros:  I'm 5'8", 155 lbs and a size small fits perfect (I hope it doesn't shrink). The hitcher design really stands out on the green shirt and the material feels great.
  • Cons:  No Sierra logo on the sleeve or no design on back of the shirt

Experience:   I got the shirt for free when I became a ski bum. Sierra is the best site on the net!!!
"Orange C60s" 4/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton C60
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Boot hold, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Mos def Burton's top of the line binders!!! It's light and very responsive due to the cabon fiber high backs. The ankle and toe straps are the most comfy straps I've ever strapped on to. The gel like substance on the heel part of the binding tremendously cushions your landings of any booters. If your a noobie, DO NOT buy these binders b/c it's very responsive.
"Awesome Liners!!!" 4/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Powerstretch Liner
  • Pros:  Its really warm when used w/ another glove. Awesome grips which help for tightening the boots :D Can also be used during spring riding.
  • Cons:  It tears and gets wet easily (spring riding)

Experience:   Even when its really cold I normally wear it for gearing up. Definitely worth buying!!!
"Vital Strap Upgrade!!!" 4/16/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Cap Strap
  • Pros:  Keeps your boots really secure without the extra pressure points on top of your foot that regular straps do!!! Greater response and much more comfortable.
  • Cons:  Only 1 color :(

Experience:   I replaced my Union toe caps with the Burton Cap Straps since it's a better and more effective cap strap. It's super easy to install and a must upgrade for all binders.
"May The Force Be With You!!!" 4/16/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Union Force
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Boot slippage
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I've got the limited edition green Union Force and Snowboard Mag collaboration binders :D It truly is a one of a kind binding. It's light and very responsive. Unlike other binders, every adjustable setting is very easy to change. I'm not sure about Union's toe cap b/c my boot always slips off regardless of how tight i make it. Real good all around binders. Union ROCKS!!!
"Sickest Binders!!!" 4/15/2009

  • Name: 2007 Union Inverters
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Boot slippage
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   It's responsive and almost every adjustable part is very easy to change. Price is reasonable especially for a very exclusive item. B/c of the bright colors you can see these binders coming from a mile away :D I'm not sure about Union's toe cap b/c my boot always slips off regardless of how tight i make it. Real good all around binders. PTERODACTYL RULES!!! :)
"Lib Tech Skate Banana Assorted Review" 4/15/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Lib Tech Skate Banana Assorted
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches, Low quality

Experience:   I've ridden plenty of boards but nothing compares to the Skate Banana. Hands down it's the best board I've ever ridden on. I don't see any difference between the '07 and the '08 Nanas besides the many different colorways. I've ridden my bros 152 and it's just as easy to throw around as my 148. It's definitely an all around board. It handles great at high speeds (even in powder and slush) and very stable w/ strong edgehold. It's is very easy to press on and it practically butters by itself. It also has good pop for big jumps. The black and purple scheme is sooo steezy!!!
"Forum Noodle!!!" 4/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Forum Manual
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  lightweight, Easy to carve, Popular model, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Too soft, Sluggish

Experience:   Awesome for park and mediocre everywhere else. Even after a fresh hot wax, you can't catch speed if your life depends on it. It chatters a lot at high speeds but manageable. Preety scary at times :-I Yellow and lime colorway is sooo sick!!!
"Carbon Dioxide!!!" 4/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton CO2
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Boot hold, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

"Down w/ MDP!!!" 4/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Mack Dawg Down With People
  • Pros:  A lot of street riding rails, fences, walls and a good amount of backcountry riding. Simon Chamberlain's scenes are the best parts in the movie.
  • Cons:  Vid would be a whole lot entertaining w/ better music to listen to. If your into rap this is not the shred vid for you. Run DMCs "Tougher Than Leather" is the only rap song in the entire vid :(

Experience:   I'm not a big fan of some alternative rock songs so the soundtrack is so so. Vid is still entertaining to watch.
"Dakine Stomps!!!" 4/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Clutch Stomp
  • Pros:  This is a great stomp pad. It grips tremendously for being a small to medium size stomp pad!!! The scraper in the middle of the stomp pad is very useful for getting rid of any snow stuck to the boot.
  • Cons:  NONE

Experience:   The cyclop graphic is the best design!!! The stomp pad itself is clear so the graphic look like its part of the board.
"Go BLUE BANANAS!!!" 4/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Lib Technologies Skate Banana MTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate

  • Pros:  Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches, Low quality

Experience:   I've ridden on plenty of boards but nothing compares to the Skate Banana. Hands down this is the best board I've ever ridden on. I'm 5'8" and weigh about 155lbs so the 148cm board was very easy and fun to throw around. This is definitely an all around board. It handles great at high speeds (even in powder and slush) and very stable w/ strong edgehold. It's is very easy to press on and it practically butters by itself. It also has good pop for big jumps. The blue and green scheme is sooo steezy!!!
"Carbon Fiber Oakley" 4/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Oakley A frame
  • Pros:  Goggle padding and straps are real comfy. The frame is real durable and can be bent so the goggle conforms to the face.
  • Cons:  Persimmon lens is real good during the day but kind of hard to see during the night. Frame is bulky and peripheral is limited.

Experience:   Goggles are decent for a dry and sunny day. However, when it's snowing or raining it's useless! The 2 pairs I use to own kept fogging up even w/ the anti-fog spray.
"BOMB DIGITY!!!" 4/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2005 Burton TNT Bomber Boot Laces
  • Pros:  Compared to other laces I tried to use, TNTs are the softest and don't hurt your hands when lacing up.
  • Cons:  Had to replace the laces on my Shaun White boots b/c it started to unravel after 1 season of use :(

Experience:   Buy a spare of TNTs and bring it w/ you everywhere b/c you never know when it will give out.
"Absinthe Please!!!" 4/7/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Absinthe Films Ready
  • Pros:  Absinthe Film's Ready DVD doesn't disappoint. If you love big mountain and free riding, this as with every other Absinthe film, is your DVD.
  • Cons:  If you're a park rat who has never ventured to the backcountry and encountered 40 degree slopes, waist deep pow, and narrow chutes, this is NOT your DVD.

Experience:   Buy it now and add it to your shred vid collections :)

Experience:   The lightest binders ever!!! Along w/ the Signal Park Rocker board, it's the lightest set up anybody can have :) Super responsive and the gold is so steezy. Looks like Union spray painted them b/c after 1 day of riding the paint chips off. I'm not sure about Union's new toe cap or any of their toe cap b/c my boot always slips off. Real good binders overall! :)
