"What more to say?" 8/31/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Reverse Crew Snowboard
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Price, great value for money! Fast and stable,
  • Cons:  Great topsheet graphics, , but I can't say I fancy the base graphics,

Experience:   Everyone has said great things already so there's nothing much more to add besides my personal experience and opinion. Great all mountain board + FUN. Previously was riding a 2008 GNU CHB, which is definitely a great board for carving, but too stiff to competently freestyle ride. The Sierra RC is softer with rocker so great for freestyling too, but is surprisingly just as stable as the CHB (regular camber with MTX!). It definitely rides like a Burton V-rocker which I've tried. Also bought one for my fiance's brother and he loves it as a beginner board. Great board for beginners, and will definitely keep you satisfied as you progress to intermediate riding!
"Great gloves for spring" 8/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Bronco Glove
  • Pros:  Low profile,
  • Cons:  No strap,

Experience:   These are actually really good gloves given the right conditions - perfect of Spring boarding when it's starting to get fairly warm (AUS / NZ). Low profile gives added dexterity. Goretex keeps the hands super dry. Zip makes for easy in/out. Just be careful there's no strap - so don't lose them! WARNING - these gloves aren't suitable in the heart of winter! Your hands will freeze... I know from experience.
"Vans Kira - pretty good" 8/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Vans Kira Womens
  • Pros:  Comfortable, BOA easy lacing,
  • Cons:  Liner not removable,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  8
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   Got this for the missus and she's very satisfied. her first boot and still using it today! The inner liner is very comfortable, especially the furry bits at the top - doesn't cut into her calf like a few other boots she's tried. BOA lacing makes things easy and convenient. Only draw back is the inner liner is stitched to the boot and is not removable making it impossible to wash. Able to keep it fresh with antiseptic spray and airing it out thouroughly. Great first boot - wish my boots were this comfortable...
"Not bad..." 8/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Vans Encore
  • Pros:  Price, boa system,
  • Cons:  Lack of Comfort, not so durable,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  8.5
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   For the price, I'm satisfied to have this as my first pair of boots. But after 3 years it's time to upgrade. The boa system is very convenient, but I struggled to find the perfect pressure distribution. Then again I didn't get the inner lining heat moulded either. It got more comfortable once it packed out a bit, but by that time some of the synthetic leather started to crack/flake off where the binding straps are. Happy that it's taken me from beginner to intermediate, but time for a new pair.
"Missions won't fail!" 8/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Durable, does it all,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Great value for money Good quality bindings. For an all mountain do it all- you won't be dissapointed
"First love" 8/12/2010

  • Name: 2008 GNU CHB MTX
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  MTX, Great value for money,
  • Cons:  Can't complain for the value,

Experience:   This is my first board and I'm still riding it! My first love - taking me from noob to intermediate. Oh the great journeys we've had together! Grips the mountain regardless of powder or ice, and FAST. Magnetraction is awesome! Too bad it's not BTX / reverse-camber. Personally I think it's quite stiff. Great for stability but I find it hard to do freestyle tricks on this board.

  • Name: 2009 RED Hi-Fi
  • Pros:  Fits well, may save your life?,
  • Cons:  The melon head look,

Experience:   Great style but not too flashy. Fits well - got one for me and one for the missus. Saved our noggins numerous times - definately an excellent investment regardless of experience. Keeps me warm and toasty too Makes our head look twice as big though =)
