"LOVE these Gloves!!" 12/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Pow Tanto Snowboard Gloves Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, comfortable,
  • Cons:  No over-sleeve version available,

Experience:   I have been wearing Burton Gore-Tex gloves for 3 years and thought they were great....till now. Bought these gloves and now my hands don't get the least bit cold after being out all day, don't sweat, and stay totally dry. No longer need to carry a spare expecting to change mid-day. They have a soft fleece lining that is very comfortable, they are flexible so you can fasten your bindings easily, and the wrist leash is detachable so it isn't dangling loose waiting to get caught on the lift if you don't like to use it. I would not trade these even if the Burtons went back to 70% off. I'm sold on the POW Tanto. My toasty-warm hands love these gloves.
"Forum Shaka" 6/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Forum Shaka
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I just demo'ed these for 3 days. The Irie colors are really fun, but after a slide down an icy-snow slope, the paint on the heelcups wore off quickly. They also got a chip out of the heelcup. The hinged mounting disk is weird, dont know why they did that, and the markings make it hard to know just what angle you are setting it at. Once you get them set up, they have good control and the straps are well padded and super comfy, and the buckles are smooth. Great riding bindings, just the surface needs to be more durable and needs standard discs. The full footbed pads are nice too. I gave them a 4 because of their good ride, if you dont care how they get scraped and chipped easily.
"great bindings" 8/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Diode Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  lightweight, responsive,
  • Cons:  expensive,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I demoed these bindings for a week and they were very lightweight, but very responsive when paired with a K2 Parkstar board. They had a few cosmetic issues after a week, but no structural problems. There is some type of rubber-like coating that peels off easily, and a rubber strip on the heelcup that cushions the point where the highback meets, and those fell off on day 2. For freeriding, they have great response, and still flexy enough for park use. Great all-round binding if you like a bit stiffer version. These have a response rating of 8 on Burton's scale. Ankle straps are comfortable and toe caps don't slip off like previous versions.
"Star of the Park" 7/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 K2 Parkstar Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  handles any terrain well, fast, durable base,
  • Cons:  top sheet chips and scratches very easy,

Experience:   Got a chance to ride this board for a week at High Cascade. It is an amazing ride. Holds an edge well in the pipe, has plenty of pop off the tail, butters sooo easy that it's almost effortless, and glides over the choppy ungroomed crap with no problem. Hauls it down the mountain with no chatter. Top sheet was pretty well beat after a week, somehow even took a chunk out of it behind the binding heelcup, but even boxes only put slight scratches on this fast, durable base. Totally love this nice, catch-free ride.
"Great jacket will keep you dry" 1/10/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Bonfire Chroma Kiji Snowboard Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  warm, wind-resistant, waterproof, interesting fun design,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Fit is neither slim nor baggy, fits true to size

Experience:   I have been wearing this jacket for 2 years and I still love it. Keeps me dry, even when it started pouring rain last week. I wear just a T-shirt and hoodie under it and stay warm in any temp, blocks wind well. Usually have to open the vents. THe one called ''silk'' is actually the bright multi-colored one. I have gotten compliments on it from a lot of people, both girls and guys, because of the fun print design. Colorful enough so friends can spot you on the hill among all the bland colors. They have pants to match, but that is just way too much pattern. Best worn with solid color pants, but there are so many colors in the jacket that any pant will match. Change up the pants from dark to bright for a different look depending on your mood. If you like the nylon sleeve gaiters, this one does not have them. Just fasten your sleeves over your under gloves.
"Feenom Legit Kit" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Von Zipper Feenom
  • Pros:  Quality, value,
  • Cons:  box says interchangeable goggle strap included, , but mine did not have an extra strap,

Experience:   I got the Syncro Royal Legit kit with the skullcrusher headphones. The description doesn't say, but the lens is bronze chrome, perfect for bright sunny days. The Feenoms also say they are not made to fit over glasses, but they do if your glasses are on the small side, and you can still take off the goggles without taking your glasses off with them. The nose fits nice without being too snug and restricting breathing. The headphones attached to the goggle strap don't work well if your helmet has ear pads, but used without a helmet or with the included headband (easy to snap off the clips and change)the sound is amazing. Very crisp with deep base using the inline adjuster. Much better than my Full Metal Jackets, and much better than you would expect attached to a pair of goggles. They are also so lightweight you hardly know you have them on. Two great products for one great price, you will not go wrong with this kit.
"Convenient little bag" 3/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Groomer
  • Pros:  holds a lot, has organizing pockets,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   It's 10X4X5'' so it will hold all your toiletries. It is more wide than deep so it is easy to find your stuff and the top flap has a zipper pocket on the inside. The front zipper pocket is waterproof. It is squishy instead of the ridgid edge type so it won't take up a lot of space in your luggage. Nice quality material too.
"Smooth Ride" 2/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dominant
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Nearly catch-free edges, great landings off jumps,
  • Cons:  146 size is not the dark blue pictured--it is , really the light blue,

Experience:   This board is designed as a park board, but works very well on blue groomers also. I tried it on a steeper black run and it did not do as well, feeling too soft for that. For this reason I think it would work very well for a beginner learning groomers and intending to become a park rat. Works great for everything in the park, and my jumps and landings have improved. I put Molotov bindings on it and the combo works great. If you are into color matching-- the Blue Flame color matches the light blue board perfectly.
"best of the small stickers" 2/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Foursquare FSQ Small Icon & Wordmark - 24Pk
  • Pros:  colorful, rep a great company,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   Icon is 3/4 X 1 and wordmark is 1.5 X 5'', the ones I got are the colors pictured, 3 of each. These are really cool little stickers. I especially like the bright color ones. Even put one on my laptop. Of the small stickers they offer here, these are the best.
"Keep your tail warm and dry" 12/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Special Blend Battery board Pants board Men's
  • Pros:  insulated in knees and seat, keeps you warm and , dry.,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Baggy fit in legs, waist very adjustable

Experience:   I bought size medium and it has inseam 32'' and waist has velcro adjusters that can make them fit any waist from 28'' to 37''. The Kelly Green is brighter than in the picture. These are nice quality pants with plenty of pockets. Add an under layer and you should be good for any weather. I like them well enough I bought a second pair.
"Really Nice Jacket" 9/30/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton B By Burton Windsor Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  More heavy weight than I expected, nice jacket. , Big goggle pocket inside. Removeable hood, and powder skirt. Hood becomes a hat.
  • Cons:  4 of the pockets only have magnetic closers, , no zippers or velcro, but 4 others zip. ,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Burton runs small, so get a size up if you usually wear other brands. Sleeves are longer than others too.

Experience:   Not listed as an insulated jacket, but does seem to have some and would probably be fine with just a base shirt under it. This is my first Burton jacket, and all I've tried on ran small so I bought a size bigger than usual and it fits fine. Jacket is a bit shorter than other shells, which is fine if you are short and want a jacket that doesnt hang so long. Sleeves are longer though, but have an adjusting snap. The subtle pattern in the material makes it cuter than in the picture. This is a nice jacket, and well worth the price. Grab one before they are gone.
"Nice Beanie" 5/16/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Foursquare Classic
  • Pros:  Heavyweight for warmth, I got the Reflex Blue and it has 5 colors so one should match your jacket or pants. Nice quality, good price.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   Fits really snug on your ears, no wind blowing through there.
"L 15 laptop case" 4/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis L-case 15
  • Pros:  Nice quality case, sturdy, good zipper and includes sleeve for carrying CD's or DVD's.
  • Cons:  Does NOT fit 15.4 '' laptops. Only 15'' or less. If you have a 15.4'' get the L 17 case.

Experience:
"Lightweight Prophecy" 8/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Prophecy Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  light, responsive,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings are really lightweight. I put them on a K2 Parkstar and you could hardly tell there was a board hanging off your foot on the lift. The base gives a regular board that smooth EST-type feel, and they are responsive when you need them to be but flexy when you want to hit park features. If you like really stiff bindings you may want to look elsewhere. Good quality bindings. Buy these.
"great pack" 7/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Day Hiker Pack
  • Pros:  quality, lot of features at reasonable price,
  • Cons:  would be nice if a hydration bladder was include,

Experience:   Nice pack that has a laptop pocket and plenty of other pockets for organizing. This is the first reasonable-priced pack I've found that is designed to be hydration compatible with the opening at the top for the tube to come out and the insulating sleeve on the shoulder strap. (Does not come with the hydration bladder) On a previous pack I just had to bring the tube out the zipper, not the best but it worked. Well padded for comfort on the back and straps. Holds a lot in the main compartment. Made of nice quality durable materials. Great pack for anyone.
"Won't attack much with this" 7/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Attack Pack
  • Pros:  lightweight to carry, large outside pocket, cheap price
  • Cons:  lightweight fabric, lack of features,

Experience:   This pack was given to me, and it is a decent pack for what it is, but not going to be your go-to bag. The large outside pocket is good for holding your lunch and keeping it separate from the rest of your stuff. That's it's best feature. Minimal padding on your back, no laptop pocket or pocket for small stuff like your sunglasses and Ipod. Fabric appears to be lighter weight than some other Burton packs. It is good for throwing in a few things to carry around town, but other packs would be better for boarding. Seems to be about the same quality as the ones they sell at discount stores for kids school packs.
"top quality hoodie" 7/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Dakine Stencil Rail Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  heavy weight material, good quality contruction,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  true to size

Experience:   This is my second Dakine hoodie and they are both well made from quality materials, don't come apart with use. Heavy weight material is warm with a soft texture inside. This hoodie is warm enough for wear with just a T-shirt when the temp is down into the upper 30's.
"Dakine Scout-- great gloves" 12/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Dakine Scout Short Gloves
  • Pros:  warm and waterproof, hands don't sweat in them,
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   Bought these this weekend because my Burton GoreTex were getting holes after only one season of light use. Wore these on an 18 degree day without the removable fleece liner and my hands still stayed warm and dry. My hands usually sweat in gloves, but not in these. They fit true to size with my previous gloves. I think I have found a new favorite, and well worth paying full price at an on-hill shop.
"a bit big" 4/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Bonfire Echo Womens
  • Pros:  Typical Bonfire good quality,
  • Cons:  Not enough pockets, big in shoulders, powder skirt not removeable,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XXL

Experience:   Jacket fits overall, but feels a bit big in the shoulders, and the sleeve adjusters don't tighten enough onto your wrist. They are velcro, so there is only so far you can go without running out of the part the strap attaches to. It only has the 2 hand pockets on the outside and one pocket inside, and a pass pocket on the powderskirt. It is a nice jacket, but probably won't be the one that I wear the most.
"Green been" 4/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Scratch
  • Pros:  color, brim, quality,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  just right

Experience:   Fits well, but not as snug on the ears as the brim beenies with the folded-up double band around the bottom. If you like a little looser fit around the ears, this is the better one to get.
"Nice long-sleeve" 4/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Electro Short Sleeve
  • Pros:  Quality, comfort,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Fits true to size

Experience:   Nice quality shirt, fits a bit slim in the body. It's made of 100% cotton, so wash and dry cool to prevent it shrinking.
"super softshell" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Suburban Softshell
  • Pros:  quality, color, got on sale,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  fits true to size

Experience:   This is a very nice quality jacket, perfect for spring days or under a shell for cold. It is a bit long, but that just keeps the snow out of your pants, and it is very comfy to move around in. The built-in mittens are totally out of your way when you are not using them. This is even good to just wear around town, and the bright colors will help your friends find you among all the brown and black jackets.I got the Citron and it is a bright lemon yellow, not the greenish color that some other brands use for Citron.
"A bit long" 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Works Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Quality, features,
  • Cons:  too long,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Fits true to size

Experience:   This is a nice quality jacket, lightweight and best used for spring riding but loose enough for layering in colder weather. Even includes a free neck gaiter in the pocket. I got the Citron color and it is actually the lemon color like in the picture, not the green-tint color like some other brands use for Citron. The only thing I don't like about this jacket is it feels too long. I got a medium and it is 32'' from collar to tail. This would fit great if you are tall, but for short people it feels a bit too long.

Comments & Questions

This is an awesome jacket, but the sizing is quite different compare with other snow jackets. I'm about 174 and i got myself a medium and thats a bit too big.

"Warm and Comfy shirt" 3/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Scoop Hoodie
  • Pros:  warm, heavyweight material, good quality, Sessions is a good brand,
  • Cons:  no more colors in stock,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  a bit long, nice and loose in the shoulders and sleeves

Experience:   I love this shirt. It has a nice comfortable fit and the material and construction is great quality. It is 80% cotton, 20% polyester and feels really warm and comfy. The seams are really well sewn, unlike some cheaper shirts. If you are short, it is long enough to cover your butt. The vivid blue is a really cool color, and if Sierra had any other colors in stock, I would buy another one. Can't say enough good things about this shirt. Buy it.
"Comfy Control P1.1" 3/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton P1.1
  • Pros:  Good quality, comfortable, good control,
  • Cons:  expensive , unless you get them on sale,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Great durability and comfy straps that don't make pressure points. Good control on groomers but not as stiff as my CO2s. Still soft enough to be great in the park. These are really nice bindings for whatever you want to ride. Grab them while they are on sale.
"Cool Tool" 3/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Mega Blaster Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Lots of bits,
  • Cons:  too big for pocket,

Experience:   This is a great little tool for changing bindings at home or just for your home toolbox. Has more bits than a regular board tool so it is more useful, but at the same time it is too big to want to carry it in your pocket all day (especially if you fall and land on it). Works if you are carrying a backpack though. A lot smaller than a regular multi-bit ratchet, so takes up less space in the tool box. Nice tool overall, bought a second one for a friend who is a bit of a tool collector.
"perfect fit socks" 3/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Fox River Mills Low Volume Anatomical Fit Light Weight
  • Pros:  very comfortable fit,
  • Cons:  I only bought one pair,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  fits perfect

Experience:   These fit amazingly well. No bunching at the ankle, not too tight at the top. Feels like you aren't even wearing socks. Wish I had ordered more.
"Nice gloves" 3/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Forum Stampede Snowboard Gloves Women's
  • Pros:  nice and warm,
  • Cons:  NOT LEATHER as advertised,

Experience:   These are described as leather gloves, and they do have a leather feel, but the content label has NO leather at all. Polyurethane and polyester only. They have a thick warm removable liner which makes them great for cold weather, remove the liner and they would be good spring riding gloves. Fits true to size, but a bit bulky with the liner in. Overall good gloves, just don't expect leather.
"Good Bite" 3/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Venom Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Good boot grip, cheap price,
  • Cons:  Doesn't look as cool as the metal stomps,

Experience:   Good adhesive, never had any Dakine stomp pad come off ( but you have to follow the installation instructions). This has a good deep surface that will grip your boot well, but not like other plastic stomps that have sharp points to bite your hand.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis L-Case 12
  • Pros:  durable, protective,
  • Cons:  a little bulky,

Experience:   A little more bulky than a soft neoprene case, but this one is durable and has good zippers. It would be perfect for the new net-book size laptops.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Gore Under Womens

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Bauhaus Hoodie
  • Pros:  sessions is a good brand,
  • Cons:  no description details on the website,

Experience:   googled this and found it has a taffeta lining, which is a silky type material. If you like the usual warm fuzzy type sweatshirt lining, this is not it. I originally wanted this shirt, but changed my mind after hunting down the description.

  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket
  • Pros:  rich sound ,
  • Cons:  don't fit tight into the ears,

Experience:   These have a good sound, but it is washed out by not fitting into your ears well. If you wear a hat or something to hold them deeper into the ear canal the sound is really good. Otherwise it is no better than the cheap over-the-ear type.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Molotov EST Womens
  • Pros:  Responsive, smooth buckles, comfy straps,
  • Cons:  toe cap always slips,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I put these on a Burton Dominant and they get the job done in the park or on groomers. I like a stiffer binding for control and these work perfect, but are not TOO stiff. I may change out the toe caps with the older style replacement cap straps and then they would be perfect.

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Guardian Leash / Lock
  • Pros:  less restrictive than short, non-coiled leashes, doubles as a board lock and not easy to cut,
  • Cons:  a little heavy for a leash and you have to carry , the lock in your pocket,

Experience:   This is a great leash just because it is a heavyweight cable that gives you a hard-to-cut board lock for when you leave your board to go eat, just wrap it through a binding, around the board and a post, and put on the lock. It is tight to get it around the board and post, but that just makes stealing your board by taking off your binding a bit harder. Since you're wearing it on your binding it's always there when you need it, and you have your leash when you go to one of the places that actually checks. If you're going to have a leash, this is the one to get.
"Great heel hold" 12/31/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Forum Craft Womens
  • Pros:  Great heel hold without tightening so much that it, cuts off circulation,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   If you have wide feet, you will like this boot. Fits comfortable but does not feel like a wide boot. It holds your heel down well without overtightening and the heel does not slip side to side either. Does not feel like a stiff boot, but does give you good board control. Good quality boot and warm feet. This one is a winner.
"Double Deck...Double Seasons" 12/7/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Wheelie Double Deck Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  Good quality materials and durable zippers, has 2 , large sides with small zippered pockets between, I really like the green color, it stands out
  • Cons:  The small top pocket for shoes or toiletries does , have a way to lock it if you are traveling by , airline

Experience:   This one bag should hold all I would ever need for any trip. It will easily hold summer plus winter stuff for a summer snowboard camp. I like the durable hardshell back, and the wheels are nice and smooth-rolling and easy to replace if one gets damaged. It has grab handles on 3 sides so it's easy to lift in or out of anywhere.
"Forum Discrete softshell" 11/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Forum Discrete Softshell Womens
  • Pros:  light water resistant but fleece lined through to , sleeves for warmth. 2 large pockets inside for , goggles, etc.
  • Cons:  not very wind resistant,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  fits true to size

Experience:   Nice jacket for layering under a shell or riding on a really warm day, but not to wear alone if it is windy and cool. Looks good to just wear around town too. In some brands I wear large and in some brands (like Burton)XL. This one fits fine in XL, so adjust your sizing accordingly. If your size varies by brand, get the larger one.
"Burton Day Hiker pack" 11/29/2009

  • Name: 2009 Burton Day Hiker 20L
  • Pros:  comfortable straps and includes waist and chest, straps to keep it secure. Laptop pocket too and , will carry your skateboard
  • Cons:  Not as big as the Distortion pack if you plan to , use it for school too.,

Experience:   This will hold a lot of stuff, and has several internal pockets for small stuff. Has a nice fleece goggle pocket. Good pack for days when you dont need to carry as much.
"Burton Distortion Backpack" 11/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Distortion
  • Pros:  Big enough to hold anything you would ever , need. Lots of pockets. Comfortable.,
  • Cons:  If pack is not full, skateboard slips around in, the straps and grip tape wears on the , backpack fabric

Experience:   A lot of pockets, so if you are really into organization, this should work. I find it easy to forget which pocket stuff is in and spend a lot of time looking for it. For this reason I actually prefer my Dakine Campus pack. Skate straps do tuck completely away when not used, so this will prevent getting it caught on the lift--good safety feature. Overall, nice pack, and I really like the Cobalt Tiger Stripe color.

  • Name: 2009 Foursquare Filled Icon Visor
  • Pros:  thick material with a fold-up edge to really , keep your ears warm. Fits snug, wont fall off , easily.
  • Cons:  doesnt match Reflex Blue pants exactly, if you are, picky about color. It is a little darker.,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  comfortably snug

Experience:   This is a nice warm hat, and I like the visor that gives it a little more style than a plain beanie. The edge flap can fold down to cover your neck if it gets really cold and windy. There is a womens version that looks and fits the same if you need a different color.

"Bonfire Arc Pants--DURABLE" 6/30/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Bonfire Arc
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
  • Description:  LEG: Relaxed, WAIST: Feels true to size, INSEAM: Feels too short,

Experience:   After an apx 500 ft slide down an icy black diamond slope on my butt, the pants, and my butt, were undamaged. These things are DURABLE. Plenty of pockets too. They would probably seem kinda short to most people, but if you are short like me these are one of the few pants that will probably fit good in length.
"Dakine Quality" 6/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Campus LG
  • Pros:  As always, Dakine top quality materials and construction. Tough material and strong smooth zippers. Has lots of zippered pockets to organize stuff and some have dividers inside the pocket. Main compartment holds everything you could need, including a laptop pocket. Has 2 water bottle pockets on the sides too.
  • Cons:  No skate carry straps.

Experience:   I have used it as a day pack for snowboarding, and as a carry on for the plane. If it won't fit in here, you don't need to take it anyway.
"Gravis runs big" 5/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Royale Mid Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Nice shoes, but not as cushioned on the insoles as other skate shoes I've worn. Tongue is padded, nice and comfy. I like the mid-high tops, feels good.
  • Cons:  I bought these a half size smaller than I usually wear, and they fit OK, probably would be perfect with thicker socks. But if I bought another pair of Gravis, I would probably go even a full size smaller than my usual .

Experience:   I was in a mood for something funky when I bought these, and the artwork is definitely funky. Can't beat the $15 price.
"Warm Mitts" 5/28/2009

"Great Visor Beenie" 5/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Forum Youngblood Visor
  • Pros:  Double layer thick knit material, plus the fold-up edge for a total of 4 layers ear protection. Visor keeps the sun out of your eyes. This one will be really warm on any day.
  • Cons:  none

Experience:   I like the way it fits, not big and floppy, just fits the head well. This is a great beenie, glad I bought it. And for $4 on sale the price was great too. This is going to be one of my favorites.
"Lightweight Jacket" 5/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Rossignol Popsy Womens
  • Pros:  Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof
  • Cons:  Inadequate Protection
  • Description:  CHEST: Feels too small, BODY: Feels true to length, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   Great for warm spring riding but I would not take it as my only jacket on cold days. Nice waterproof jacket, feels a little more snug than other jackets the same size. Looks great and has plenty of pockets for goggles, IPOD and all the stuff you need to carry. Includes a goggle bag attached inside the pocket. 4 stars just because of its light weight. Glad I got it on sale because I can't see this being a $300 jacket.
"Lots of Pockets" 5/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Foursquare Yeung Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
  • Description:  WEATHER: Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, Cold and Blustery Day, Snow and Rain Mixed, Sleet, Storming and White Out, LEG: Baggy, WAIST: Feels true to size, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   Another great pair from foursquare. 8 pockets, if that's not enough , you have too much stuff. They have even more insulation than I expected. Adjustable waist makes them fit just right. I have never been disappointed with Foursquare pants.
"Cool Cooler" 5/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Lil Buddy Cooler
  • Pros:  Lots of room in the main cooler compartment, has pockets everywhere--2 small ones on the front , the one the speakers are in, and a larger one on the back that could hold a couple sandwiches. The sound quality of the speakers is really good--a lot better than I expected for something that comes attached to a cooler. And the speaker section is detachable from the cooler--nice feature. Speakers run on 4 AA batteries, and has a jack for an AC adapter (not included).
  • Cons:  none

Experience:   Just the speakers alone would be worth the $17.98 I paid. This will get a lot of use this summer.

"Very Useful" 4/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis AV Gear Pouch
  • Pros:  This pouch is 6X10 inches, with good padding to protect your electronics. It has an outside pocket, and the main compartment has a long pocket on one side and 3 small IPOD size pockets on the other side. This would work for a PSP game, CDs or DVDs, computer parts, or even your toiletries for a weekend trip. What ever you use it for, you will be pleased.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This is a great little case. Glad I bought it.
"Bright Blue" 4/27/2009

  • Pros:  The blue color is awesome, and the little guy has a metalic look to it that doesn't show in the pic. This is a great looking shirt and fits true to size.
  • Cons:  none

Experience:   I only ordered this one item and they shipped by US mail and I got it in 2 days instead of the 6 it takes for UPS. Great service Sierra!
"Gravis L17 laptop case" 4/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Gravis L-Case 17
  • Pros:  Good quality protection for your laptop. This one fits the 15.4 laptops just fine, with about 1 1/2 '' to spare on the side for a mini mouse or cable. Zipper is good quality, too.
  • Cons:  none

Experience:   Well worth the $10. Buy it.
"Gravis G- case" 4/24/2009

  • Name: 2008 Gravis G-Case
  • Pros:  Nice quality case. It will give your camera or small electronics very good protection. Has an extra little pocket on the back that you dont see in the pic.
  • Cons:  Velcro that holds the detachable IPOD case inside is REALLY sticky when you try to remove it.

Experience:   It would be good for a lot of uses. It's only $5, buy one.
"Warm and Dry gloves" 4/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Gore Tex Womens Glove
  • Pros:  They keep my hands warm and dry even without the liners. You could use the liners alone in warm weather.
  • Cons:  The outer glove fits fine in your usual size, but if you think you will need to use the liner, order a size larger. They feel too tight to me, with the liner in.

Experience:
"Warm and Breathable" 4/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Bonfire Reflection Womens
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
  • Description:  WEATHER: Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, Cold and Blustery Day, Storming and White Out, CHEST: Feels true to size, BODY: Feels true to length, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   This is a great jacket. I wear the shell with a hoodie when it's really cold, but with the down inner jacket it would keep you warm in a blizzard. Just the shell with a base shirt is enough for warmer days. The down inner jacket looks good to wear for apres. The silk and bamboo color comes with a nice yellow inner jacket. There's plenty of pockets for all your stuff. Wear each piece alone or both together for 3 different weights of protection. This jacket should cover any temp range you meet, so you can go anywhere and not have to take extras for weather changes or after parties.
"Long and Thin" 4/6/2009

  • Pros:  Haven't found any pros with this shirt. I'm sending it back.
  • Cons:  Way too long, thin material, color appears more washed out than pictured.

Experience:   I wear Foursquare pants and have been very happy with them, but this shirt is not up to the same quality as their pants.
"Amazing Hero" 3/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand

Experience:   On the first run, the only word I could think of was Amazing! This board is so forgiving that it corrects your errors and keeps you going, instead of a crash you feel coming that would have happened on any other board. You have to do something really squirrely to catch an edge on the Hero. The scoop tips and V-rocker just make it ride differently than other boards. It really needs the EST bindings to get the full benefit of the ICS system. I tried my standard CO2s on it with the included adapter plates and you could quickly feel the difference. The ESTs give more board feel, control, and a smoother ride. The stability of the Hero gave me confidence to ride faster and harder than ever before, and even started riding black diamond runs. It holds an edge great on groomers. Only con I found was the top sheet scratches easily, but just ride it and enjoy it. Never thought I would say it, but I like the Hero better than my Skate Banana. This board deserves more than 5 stars. There would have to be something really spectacular to come along to get me to give up the Hero. I like the clean graphics too, and the yellow base.

"Nice Fleece" 3/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton North Star Womens Bonded
  • Pros:  Good quality material. Seams down the back give a nice tailored fit. Smooth outside, soft and fuzzy inside. Warmth factor 7 on Burton's 1-13 scale. (Wear a 1 for warmer weather, 13 for colder weather)
  • Cons:  Seems to run a bit small, so if you want a looser fit get the next size up.

Experience:   Made of 100% polyester, so it should work for spring riding without soaking up water like cotton does. Well worth the $29.99
"Love the Yellow" 3/9/2009

"Great Bag" 3/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Boot Locker Duffel Bag
  • Pros:  Separate compartment for your dirty boots, and the top compartment is big enough for your helmet, gloves and all the stuff you carry to the hill. Take out the helmet and It's even big enough to hold clothes for a weekender and your 15" laptop. Both compartments are tarp lined too. Material and zippers are good Dakine quality.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   If you don't overstuff it, it would be a great size for your carry-on bag for the plane.

"Warm Comfy Hoodie" 1/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Blunt
  • Pros:  This thing is heavy and warm with a good sized hood. It's roomy enough to move around comfortably without binding, even with a shirt underneath. If you're not super-tall it's long enough you can pull it down to even keep your butt warm if necessary. The audio pocket is big enough for a IPOD classic, or if your MP3 is smaller there is enough room to store your earbuds too. This is a great shirt.
  • Cons:  It would have looked better if the seams where the ribbed cuffs and bottom are attached weren't made so the inside of the material is on the outside. It should have been left turned under for a smoother look. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Experience:   Where else can you get a Burton quality $65 hoodie for $10? Sierra Rocks!
"Gore-Tex Mitts" 1/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Gore Tex Womens
  • Pros:  Warm and comfy. Easy to fit the included liner under them. You could even wear the liner alone on warm days. Gauntlet cuffs fit well over your sleeves. Works better than under- gloves if your jacket has the thumb-hole extensions in the sleeves.
  • Cons:  any mitts are a little hard to fasten your buckles with.

Experience:   Gore Tex keeps you dry. That's the main thing.
"Big Bag" 1/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Wheelie Cargo Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  This thing has lots of zipper sections to separate stuff and folds open like a book so you don't have to dig to the bottom to get what you want. Skate wheels are nice and smooth. This will hold a lot of stuff.
  • Cons:  The multiple sections make it kinda hard to put in something big, like a helmet.

Experience:   For airline travel I prefer hard-side luggage to take the abuse dished out by baggage handlers. I wanted this for long-weekend road trips though, and I think it will hold plenty of stuff with room left over. And the price was unbeatable at $40.

  • Pros:  Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Cons:  Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Bought these for my friend's kid and he loved them. He was able to get himself in and out of them first time. Now he has outgrown them and I can't get him into strap bindings because he likes the ease of use of the Flows. A little tricky to get them adjusted to the kid's boots, but once you do , he's able to take care of himself. They are a little heavy, but for a beginning kid that's not a problem.

Experience:   This is a nice fun board that is flexy enough for a beginner to learn on or great to ride in the park. Holds a great edge coming down the groomers too. For some the graphic takes a little getting used to, but I took it out for it's first ride this weekend and got several ''nice board'' compliments. Can't beat the price either and it's from a quality company.
