"Great price, great ride." 3/7/2010

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Reverse Crew Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Handles speed very well, Rubber dampening reduces chatter, Playful but stable in the park
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   I demoed a 159 Sierra Reverse Crew Sunday at Shakapalooza. I was really impressed. The board could really charge without feeling squirrelly. It also handled the big booters in the TopFlight park at Steven's Pass really well. I felt really confident taking them biguns on the board. The board was also really playful while doing tail/nose presses and other flatland tricks. To get to the park you had to cut through this kinda burly off piste area. Contained chop, rocks, moguls, softer snow then to groomed. You also had to bomb this area as to not lose speed. This board handled that garbage rather solidly. I took home a 155 and Iabsolutely love riding the thing. Been my go to board since.....

MiguelMas
Just wanted t o update a little. I rode the 155 R Crew in almost a foot of pow on 3/9/2010 and was really impressed with how it handled the fresh. This board can really do it all!!!!

Ausved
Hey mate just wondering for size, what do you weight? I noticed you took home a smaller board then you demoed:)

Shadowrak
I am also interested in an answer to what Ausved asked.

  • Name: 2011 Sierrapalooza Sugarbowl, CA
  • Pros:  Beers, Friends, Shred
  • Cons:  Only two days, Sugarbowl isnt scooter accessible, I am old

Experience:   This is gonna be the dogs bollocks.

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Suburban Softshell
  • Pros:  Ability to give 4 thumbs up., Water and wind proof, Lightweight
  • Cons:  Inner fleece is like a sponge.,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  XL isnt huge. Which is good for layering

Experience:   I got this softshell in all black and size XL. The fit is on the small side. If you usually wear a large, grab an XL. The smaller cut is great for layering. The built in mittens seem kinda useless, except for giving the ''four thumbs up.'' Been caught in a sudden, quick rainstorm and this thing kept me dry. It also keeps wind at bay. GReat for mild/spring weather.

  • Name: 2010 686 Levi Structure Snowboard Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Face covering area is vented., Levi's styling, 15k holds up well. Worn in blizzard and stayed dry
  • Cons:  Sleeve openings are a little big., Hood brim is a little floppy., Too many damn pockets!(some may see this a pro?.
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Its baggy, but not huge.

Experience:   This jacket is great. I have the matching pants and rock the Canadian Tuxedo look. Doesnt look like denim, but has Levi's inspired stichting. This setup keeps me warm and dry. The jacket has light insulation that is just right. Not too hot with a baselayer. Venting works well too. There are pockets galore! The fit is a great cut that most 686 Large jackets have. Baggy but not huge.

  • Name: 2010 686 KR3W Lumber Jack Softshell
  • Pros:  Krew styling, great cut., Pit zips to dump heat., It looks like a flannel. Put on some Mudhoney.
  • Cons:  High collar. It grows on ya though., Only three pockets. (some may find this a pro)., You wont want to take it off.
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits like a large with more of a fitted but great cut.

Experience:   This soft shell jacket is top notch. Looks stylish without sacrificing performance. I have worn this jacket on a day that saw rain, snow, sun, and wind and it kept me warm and dry. While all the other cats are rockin flannels and getting sopping wet, you will be riding dry with this great jacket....

  • Name: 2008 Burton CO2

Experience:   While also owning Cartel and Triads these where the only bindings that saw use. The others collected dust until I sold them. Super comfy. No foot pain. The just work.

  • Name: 2009 Lib Tech Skate Banana Assorted
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Powder
  • Pros:  poppy, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold

Experience:   It was really hard to believe that The Skate Banana could live up to all the hype surrounding it. I ordered mine the same day they went on sale at SS.com, back in July. I received it and drove down to Mt, Hood to test it out. The morning ice was no problem for the magnatraction and it was so fun to ride in the park. Riding powder on a centered stance 156 just seems wrong, but it doesnt nose dive. I can easily say this is the funnest board I have ridden in my 20 plus years of snowboarding. BELIEVE THE HYPE.
"These pants are killer." 3/6/2010

  • Name: 2010 686 Levi
  • Pros:  Super water proof, Warm, but have vents to dump heat., Classic Levi's styling
  • Cons:  Back pockets dont zip, just velcro.,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  They fit like a snowboard pant should. Baggy.

Experience:   Been looking for a pair of high waterproof pants to replace my Vans Gore-Tex pants of 3 seasons. These babies are bueno. I have worn them three times out and they have handled every condition you will run into. Get too hot, jut unzip the leg vents to dump that heat. I got the black pair and they dont look or feel like denim at all. Thats good because I didnt want them to. Mine also have adjusting velco tabs at the waist. One of the other reviewers said them not having this was a CON. They are there on mine. Causaually hidden with authentic looking Levi's buttons. Worth every penny I paid.
