"Functional lil guy" 2/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Cool Tool
  • Pros:  different bits, small,
  • Cons:  loose part for bolt adjustment,

Experience:   Great little tool. I keep it in my jacket pocket to adjust bindings if I need to. Comes with a bunch of heads for different types of screws. Highly recommended tool.
"Great Goggles" 11/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith I/O
  • Pros:  Fit, Point of View Range, Comfort
  • Cons:  Default Lenses are not the best they offer,

Experience:   I bought the I/O 2009's and they worked great for white out conditions and for night skiing. Only drawback was that in bright sunlight the default lenses did not work so great so I had to get another higher tint glass. Also, they tend to fog up relatively quick once you lift them up. Other than that, I had a great experience with these and will use them this year as well with a couple more lenses to swap in and out for different conditions. Sick gfx's as well.
"Soulwolf" 10/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Reef Soulwolf Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  comfy, bouncy liner,
  • Cons:  durability,

Experience:   comfy kickaround slipper. liner has these eva bubbly things that feel pretty good wearing barefoot. outsole doesn't look like they will hold up wearing outside.
"Decent Sandal" 10/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Reef Fanning Sandals Women's
  • Pros:  Bottle Opener, Heel Air Unit,
  • Cons:  Packs Out,

Experience:   decent sandal...prefer my Fanning o2's just because the full length air unit holds up better than standard EVA foam in the forefoot. worth getting just not to wear day in and day out with the expectation that they will hold up.
"Love it" 11/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 North Face Gravitation Triclimate
  • Pros:  warm, water proof, nice compatibility with NF pants/gear
  • Cons:  baggy fit, loose at the top, liner can get annoying
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  A little baggy

Experience:   Great jacket. Has Recco for mountain rescue. Nice pockets everywhere. Internal pockets hold a lot of stuff. Can almost be too warm because stuff inside my jacket got a little sweaty. Kept me warm/dry for 10+ hours in wet conditions. Would definately recommend this jacket.
"Slight Upgrade to Atlas" 2/11/2014
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2014 Union Factory Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Durability, Upgraded Straps, Tougher baseplate
  • Cons:  HIghback not amazing,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Just took these out for an 8 day trip on some steep terrain in the alps and were only mildly impressed by the improvements over its little brother, the Atlas. I liked the more durable straps with how they are seamed compared to the Atlas, and I also like the more rugged materials used in the baseplate. I was expecting a bit more stiffness out of the highback considering it is the team version with what looks like more rigidity; however, it felt just a tiny bit more responsive.
"Solid Pant" 12/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 The North Face Fargo Cargo Ski Pants
  • Pros:  pretty water proof, relaxed fit, color options
  • Cons:  no gore tex,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Nice baggy fit, unlike a lot of TNF pants

Experience:   nice solid all around pant. 2L hyvent is TNF's waterproof tech and works really well. took them to tahoe when it was 60+ degrees and watery slush and didn't have a problem with saturation. also have had them out when it was less than 10 degrees and insulated enough in the right spots that just your baselayer will keep you nice and warm. the color options on here are limited but still a great pant for the pricepoint. worth the buy.
"Best Riding Socks" 11/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Smartwool Phd Snowboard Medium Socks Men's
  • Pros:  Compression, Comfort, Cushion
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Compression with Comfort

Experience:   I have about 9 pairs of the PhD..slight compression and tons of padding on the footbed. the merino wool wicks great and better than the synthetic burton sock blends and is has better natural anti-microbial features that keep the socks from stinking up too much. there is also the thinner sock if you prefer that amount of padding. GREAT SOCK!
"Vaporwick" 11/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 North Face L/S Vaporwick Andres Ringer
  • Pros:  wicks nicely, comfy fabric,
  • Cons:  loose fitting,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  a little loose

Experience:   i was looking for more of a fitted feel. this is semi-relaxed and fits pretty loose. not bad for just wearing as a normal long sleeve. wicks really nicely though even though its not next to skin.
"Nuptse Vest" 11/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 The North Face Nuptse Vest
  • Pros:  down insulation, not too puffy for me,
  • Cons:  not super super warm..thats ok,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  fits great as an insulator vest/fall casual

Experience:   i bought 2 of these (for dad and me). i use it mostly as an insulator for my shells when snowboarding and my dad used them for work and autumn wear. regardless the down fill is warm enough for colder weather wearing just a hoodie or something under and insulates nicely under a shell for cold conditions.
"Monte Cargo" 10/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 The North Face Monte Cargo
  • Pros:  fit, durability,
  • Cons:  boring colors,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Nice baggy fit

Experience:   great fit. could use better colors. liked the vents and durability of these. didn't snag on branches or rip when skiddin during spring riding
"Freedom pant" 10/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 The North Face Freedom
  • Pros:  waterproof, durability, breatheability
  • Cons:  weird fit in some places,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  a little snug around the butt

Experience:   great riding pant. a little snug in some places that should be baggier and comfy. overall a good pant to put into the rotation for multi day trips
"holua review" 9/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy Holua
  • Pros:  various buds, noise cancelling, decent quality
  • Cons:  low bass, price,

Experience:   nice buds. diff buds allow for different fits. i travel a lot for work and they have nice noise cancelling qualities. overall good buds but i think there are better options for the price.
"Shirt is a shirt" 3/31/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Heli-Drop
  • Pros:  fit, graphic,
  • Cons:  want more color options,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  fits like a t shirt should

Experience:   what can i say besides that this is a good shirt haha. fits like a glove and is long enough for me and i'm like 6'3. just wish there were a lot more colors to pick from, but i got it for free so how can i complain. thanks sierra.
"Burton Triad...Great All-Mtn" 3/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Triad
  • Pros:  Repsonsiveness, Comfort, Shock Absorption
  • Cons:  Foam in high back gets jacked up,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   love this board for this all mtn versatility. i used them on a couple different boards from the sierra crew to the burton blunt for messing around in the park. worked well in both areas and had great responsiveness while still not feeling way too stiff on bigger runs

"Sierra Crew" 2/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Crew Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Stability, Speed,
  • Cons:  Top sheet marks up easily,

Experience:   Rode the Crew 160w for a couple days this weekend for the first time. Overall I was impressed for its all-mtn versatility. Could hold an edge really well even going super fast. For the most part it plows through junk nicely so that added to the stability. I was able to do some medium sized jumps and the landings were always more forgiving than a couple other freestyle boards I've ridden. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the top sheet isn't the most durable even without having people hit it in the lift lines.
"nice jacket" 1/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 North Face Link Trip Dip
  • Pros:  windproof, fit,
  • Cons:  warmth,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  fits like my gravitation

Experience:   nice jacket..not as warm as their triclimates but will do fine if you layer
"got the 2009" 12/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton AK 2L Stagger
  • Pros:  style, gore tex,
  • Cons:  huuuuge fit,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  pretty baggy

Experience:   tried them on. haven't field tested them but they should hold up well in the weather because of the gore tex and fully seamed edges. appear very warm as well even though only the 2L.
"nice but overpriced" 11/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 North Face Flux Power Stretch 1/4 Zip
  • Pros:  warmth, fit, pocket
  • Cons:  price,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  fits fine

Experience:   great midlayer to keep warm. i wear it around when its not too cold out as just a normal pullover. media pocket is nice. there are other midlayers that work just as well that don't cost nearly as much as this one.
"great function...ok fit" 11/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 North Face Park Cargo II
  • Pros:  very breathable, zips, waterproof/durability
  • Cons:  too short,
  • Pant Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  i'm tall and even in a long they are still short

Experience:   i'm a taller guy so i usually look for long or tall pants. i got these in XL tall and they were still short. i think the inseam specs are off by an inch because they barely reached my ankles and i would rather have a little more room to spare on the bottom. other than that, they work really well and are durable. lots of pockets and areas for ventilation.
"gf loves them" 11/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Anthem Snowboard Goggles Women's
  • Pros:  fit, comfort, durability

Experience:   bought these for my gf..she loves them. def on the smaller side of goggles but they fit her well and her face is pretty normal sized.
"decent sock" 11/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  warmth, moisture wicking,
  • Cons:  not the best padding,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  close to perfect fit

Experience:   good sock overall. nothing special but got the job done. maybe its just the way my legs shaped but it wasn't really padded on my shin as much as i would like. but i would buy them again.
"I have the bluetooth audio version.." 11/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  great sound quality, functionality, comfort
  • Cons:  seems a little flimsy,

Experience:   great helmet. a lot of comfort and for the bluetooth kit, i can't imagine any other helmet being better. you can hook up both your phone and ipod at the same time and has a mic built in somewhere. i even put my phone down 30 ft away and went into the bathroom with the door shut and still crystal clear. same on a mountain. i could hear just fine while riding around. i love this helmet and have been getting a lot of comments on how good it looks.
"good forefoot cushioning" 11/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Superfeet Orange Footbeds
  • Pros:  support, forefoot cushioning,

Experience:   good support..slightly less than green and more than blue. forefoot cushioning is OK for met heads but not amazing. does wear out quick. better option for snowboarding are superfeet red if you can find them.
"Superfeet Green" 11/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Superfeet Footbeds F
  • Pros:  support, pronation control,
  • Cons:  sometimes too aggressive,

Experience:   good insoles for a higher arch. i would get your arch checked out at a running store or somewhere with a pressure mat. if you have a flatter foot this will hurt a lot to wear (try superfeet blue). other than that, does it's job to keep the foot in a neutral position when riding/running/whatever. DO NOT wear these for 10 hours the first time you get them. there is an adjustment period for your feet to get accustomed to being pushed back laterally from how they were. wear them a couple hours in normal shoes before putting in your boots or you'll regret it.
"Basic Shell" 11/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 North Face Apex Bionic
  • Pros:  waterproof, windproof, comfortable
  • Cons:  not very warm,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits like most other north faces i.e. Denali

Experience:   great fall/spring jacket. i use a hoodie or a nice midlayer underneath it when temps get below 50 degrees and i'm cozy. fit is spot on. i would recommend trying it on somewhere before buying.
"great value" 11/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Custom
  • Pros:  Value, Flexibility,
  • Cons:  Durability,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I have these on my Blunt. Work fine but the toe comes a little loose on the right side. Nice value though.
