"Great Jacket" 9/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Restricted Chigurh Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Warm, waterproof, solid, Bloody cheap compared to AU.,
  • Cons:  Possibly too warm for Australia,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Loose but correctly sized.

Experience:   Excellent jacket, fully recommended. Bit hard core warm for Australia, however I usually go in July when it is possibly the coolest month. Does have zips to let the air in, I tried them and they work well. Will have to get another jacket for the warmer boarding months here...mmmm Sierra
"Nice Pants" 9/9/2010

  • Name: 2010 Burton Restricted Chigurh Snow Pants
  • Pros:  Warm, waterproof, solid.,
  • Cons:  Mainly the sizing.,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  These are a big fit.

Experience:   Bought 2 pair of XL, I fit that for everything, they were too big. Glad they aren't $400 like here in Australia. I ended up with a couple of Large sizes. Way better. Mate is happy as well, he ended up with a couple of really nice cheap XL pants...

  • Name: 2010 Burton Guru
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  Stable at Speed, Good on the Groomers,
  • Cons:  Top scratches easily,

Experience:   Rode this in one of the only powder days so far this year at Perisher. Handled very well in the pow and on the groomers. Recommended at a good price. I have the 162.
"Nice Board for Aussie Conditions" 7/29/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Crew Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Chop,Crud,Groomers,High Speeds,Low Speeds
  • Pros:  Very easily handled in Aussie conditions, Stable at speed,
  • Cons:  Top scratches easily,

Experience:   Have just returned yesterday from 3 weeks at Perisher. Board handled excellent, I don't go in the parks. Spend most the time on the man made groomers (as bugger all snow). Board did everything I asked of it. Great board to use as a general hill board. I took this and the Guru, used this 90% of the time due to conditions. Recommended to my mates.
"Works like it should" 6/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Cool Lock
  • Pros:  Quick to use, Acts as a visual deterent,
  • Cons:  Fairly Big,

Experience:   Works as it should. Certainly better than having your board ripped. Keep in mind when you are retracting the cord that it whips and does hurt enough that you don't want to do it again. I think that a thief would move onto the next board if you have this on.
"I Wouldn't Call it Shonky" 6/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Mega Blaster Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Lots of tool heads, Compact, Easy to use
  • Cons:  Doesn't feel that solid, Opens unexpectedly,

Experience:   This just doesn't feel that solid of build however I certainly wouldn't call it shonky. Its of that unusual size that makes it good for your backpack and ok in your pocket. If you fall on it, you will most probably feel it.
