  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Great value, Well known brand

"Gravis Chuck Expedition Excellent Winter Shoe" 11/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Chuck Expedition Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Timberland workboot look, Warm Fleece Lining,, Extremely Comfotable, Includes two types of laces,, Runs true to size

Experience:   These have become my new go to winter shoes. I have both them in both Bison and Black. I like the Bison because they really resemble a Timberland Work boot in look. They include both work boot look type laces and regular colored shoe laces. They run true to size with a slightly wide toe box. The thing that makes these shoes is the cushy fleece lining keeps it warm and makes it feel as if you were wearing slippers. The only negative from my purchase is that with the Bison pair I received the red laces were pretty ripped up due to a manufacturing flaw, I am surprised that things like this are missed when they are inspected but it is OK since I am using the work boot laces that also came with it.
"My Favorite Goggles!!!" 7/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Oakley A Frame- Silver/Fire
  • Pros:  Fits awesome, doesn't fog, superior optical clarity, looks awesome, fire lens complete mirror on outside, soft foam.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   The fire lens is the coolest looking lens on the market. The fire lens is best for sunny days.
"Super Sick Jacket!" 6/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 DC Hertz
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
  • Description:  WEATHER: Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, Cold and Blustery Day, Storming and White Out, CHEST: Feels too big, BODY: Feels too long, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   This jacket is super sick, the trail map print looks awesome and everyone on the mountain asks where I got it. Has tons of pockets, hidden built in ninjaclave, soft lining, wrist gaiters, and is super functional. The only negative in this jacket is the hood isn't detachable.
"Tennis Anyone!" 6/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Anon Figment Skin
  • Pros:  Awesome Looks, Cool Tennis Ball Covering, Soft Foam.
  • Cons:  Only cons I can see is that they don't seem to be constructed as well as other goggles I own and will have to see how they hold up over time. Lens also seems to be prone to scratches as there was already a tiny scratch on it straight out of the box.

Experience:
"Crazy Big Sizing!" 10/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Waffle First Layer Polo
  • Pros:  Looks cool if it fits, warm,
  • Cons:  Its just way too big!,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XXL
  • Description:  Extremely baggy/long with really long sleeves

Experience:   This item is best to try on at your local store as it is crazy big. What is really strange is that not everything is big on it so if I went down a couple sizes it might be tight in the shoulders and the arms and length would still be long. This thermal has a cool look with the polo but in my opinion you look like your wearing a dress more than a shirt.
"One of the best stomp pads available!" 10/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Venom Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Super Sticky Adhesive, Great Grip , Looks Cool

Experience:   This is a great stomp pad that I have had on one of my boards since 06. It was the best stomp pad I had ever used until I put a Bakoda A-trac on my Sierrascope. This stomp pad has superior grip and is a decent size that it is hard to miss when getting off the lift. Unlike other stomp pad this adhesive really holds up as it had been on my board for 4 years and it would take major effort if I were to even try to remove it. If you need a stomp pad this is one of the best.
"Perfect Mid Weight Sock" 1/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Buffer
  • Pros:  Warm, Comfortable, Soft, Great Padding,
  • Cons:  None,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Perfect Fit

Experience:   A great mid weight sock that will keep your feet warm and dry throughout the day. These socks are not quite as thick as the Burton Emblem sock so if you are looking for a thicker sock you may want to try those. A must buy if you need a really good pair snowboard socks.
"Awesome Leather Jacket For Off Mountain Use" 1/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Special Blend Oh No You Didn't
  • Pros:  Embossed Leather, Nice Lining, Warm,, Comes with Matching Bag, fur hood,
  • Cons:  Odor when you first get it, non detachable hood, not much insulation,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Perfect Fit

Experience:   This jacket is sick for off mountain use. The embossed design of the leather is awesome and the fit was just right for me. Once you get this jacket you do have to let it air outside for like a week because the leather dye have a really strong odor. Although this jacket is warm it would have been nice if it had some more insulation besides just the lining. I highly recommend picking up this jacket.
"Pockets Galore!!!" 1/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Distortion
  • Pros:  Has tons of pockets, Waterproof Material, Holds a ton, padded back, nice print, media pocket,
  • Cons:  questionable durability,

Experience:   This is a great looking backup and is prefect for organizing your gear with all the pockets. The only negative is its not constructed nearly as well as other backpack brands such as Dakine.

Experience:   These are the ultimate thermal pants for those really cold arctic days. They keep you warm all day and breathe so you don't get too hot. Experience:   These thermal pants are the perfect baselayer. They fit perfect and are warm without being too warm. They are so comfortable you don't even realize your wearing them. These are perfect for 20-30 degree days. Colder days(below 20 degrees) I prefer the Burton Ak Exp Pant.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Emblem
  • Pros:  Super Warm, Great Padding, Awesome Colors, Great Designs, Super Comfortable, Perfect Fit,
  • Cons:  None,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L

Experience:   The Burton Emblem socks are some of my favorite snowboard socks. I had purchased 2 pairs last year and this year purchased a pair in every color. If your in a need of a high quality comfortable socks put these first on your list, your feet will thank you!
"One Of My Favorite Beanies!!!" 8/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Special Blend Refried
  • Pros:  Warm, fits perfect, love the bomb design, has fleece lining over ears, high quality.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This for me is just a very warm perfect fit beanie!!!
"Poor Fitting Beanie!!" 8/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Vans Sandlot
  • Pros:  Looks cool, has brim, warm.
  • Cons:  This was just to small for me.

Experience:   This is the only beanie I ever bought that I found too small. I don't have a over sized head so I figure this would fit women or children best.
"Not a Very Durable Bag!" 7/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Ride Unforgiven Board Sleeve
  • Pros:  Looks nice, was cheap.
  • Cons:  Bag is very thin, It was never even used to transport any boards just stored one of my boards in it and the board ripped through the bag ( in fact tags are still on it)! Top loading design is hard to load board with bindings into it.

Experience:   If your in search of a good board bag I would recommend that you buy either a Dakine, Burton, or a Demon brand bag. I own all of these and they are far superior in quality to this Ride bag.
"The Perfect Travel Bag!!" 7/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Wheelie Cargo Luggage Bag
  • Pros:  This bag is the perfect size for a weeks vacation, has different compartments so that you can organize everything which is my favorite feature of this bag, the bag zips down the center so that you can access everything easily and each side has mesh lining with zippers for each compartment, the cram zones are great for getting in more gear when you need too and the the replaceable skate wheels glide awesome. The handle is very sturdy and stows away easy. It is really nice that with this bag you get the organization and a smaller looking bag but with more storage than a conventional larger bag. Another major benefit is with the unique colorways it is always easy to spot your bags from the sea of generic black bags at the airport.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   Burton luggage is awesome, everyone that has seen this bag has gotten one for themselves that how good it is.
"Great Dakine Scraper" 7/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine 10 inch Scraper
  • Pros:  Hard plastic, does a great job, its big maybe even too http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/assets/navigation/button-submit-review.gifbig, easy to sharpen.
  • Cons:  Has no corner for edges.

Experience:   This works best with a smaller scraper to get into the tighter areas.
"Nice Looking Shirt But Size Was Mismarked" 7/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Forum Icon Fill Short Sleeve
  • Pros:  Nice looking soft white tee, tagless.
  • Cons:  Size was mismarked ordered a Large and it turned out to be a XXL, had to return it.

Experience:   Nice shirt if you get one that is the same size as is marked.

  • Name: 2008 Burton Holiday

"Best Hydration Reservoir" 6/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Flowlock Reservoir 2L
  • Pros:  Water tastes like water not plastic, easy to fill, bitvalve works well.
  • Cons:  Wish that it had a cap to cover the valve when not in use.

Experience:   This Dakine reservoir is the best I own. I have a Camelback and the design of that is very difficult to fill and tastes like plastic. This one is great and haven't ever had a problem with it leaking.
"Essential Analog Ninjaclava" 6/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Analog Folk Devil
  • Pros:  This is called a beanie but is really a Ninjaclava, fits perfect, looks awesome, ultra soft, great under helmet, pretty lightweight yet warm.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This is a lighter weight alternative to the R.E.D. Ninjaclava. I own both and feel that the analog fits and preforms best unless it is subzero temperatures then the R.E.D. has the advantage.
"Nice Analog Fitted Shirt" 6/28/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Analog Morongo Fitted Short Sleeve
  • Pros:  Looks cool, tagless although it does have a decorative on the back collar, fits perfect, and is super soft.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 686 Times Famous
  • Pros:  Warm, Comfortable, Visor, Fits Great, Famous Logo.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This is essentially the same as the regular 686 Icon Visor beanie but with the Famous Stars and Straps Logo. These 686 Visor Beanies Fit Awesome. Most other visor beanies are too small for my head and the visor is uncomfortable.
"Best Stomp Pad Out There" 6/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Spike
  • Pros:  Solid grip in all conditions, easy to apply, comes in clear so it doesn't stand out on the board.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   Dakine makes the best stomp pads period!!
"Sierra Community Tshirt" 6/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Community
  • Pros:  Nice design, fits good, got it free.
  • Cons:  The shirt I received differed from the picture. I got the black shirt but the logo was green instead of blue and didn't have the logo on the back also.

Experience:   I was kinda bummed because I liked the blue color better than the green but since it was free I really can't complain.
"Pretty Heavy Duty Board Lock" 6/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Bakoda Cable Lock
  • Pros:  Pretty Heavy duty cable and lock, deters theft, fits in pocket.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This lock is better than most when it comes to board security, although if someone really want your board this prob won't stop them. But still one of the best locks I have seen.

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Super Tune Kit
  • Pros:  Comes with everything to get you started, iron, scrapers, wax, p-tex, edge tool, files, nice storage bag, etc.
  • Cons:  Not a big deal but would be nice if a lighter was included for the p-tex. It really should come with better instructions since beginners would prob by a kit like this.

Experience:
"Comfortable Warm 686 Visor Beanie" 6/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 686 Icon Visor
  • Pros:  Warm, Comfortable, Visor, Fits Great, Classic Looks.

"Jacket Lasts One Day/Poor Quality Plastic Zipper" 6/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Four Square Adams
  • Cons:  Wears Out Quickly
  • Description:  WEATHER: Spring Day, Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, Cold and Blustery Day, Snow and Rain Mixed, Sleet, Storming and White Out, CHEST: Feels true to size, BODY: Feels true to length, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   I bought this and matching pants in 2006 and when I first went to use found that the zipper was broken. Sent it in for warranty and got a 2008 Adams Jacket which was really horrible. If this jacket had the 2008 zipper then it would have been a quality jacket. The fabric used in 2006/2007 was much heavier and durable then in 2008. But at least in 2008 they switched to a metal zipper. Because this jacket could not even make it through one use it gets 1 star.
"Poor Quality Coat/Falls Apart After Just One Use!!!" 6/19/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Foursquare Melnik
  • Pros:  Breathable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
  • Cons:  Wears Out Quickly
  • Description:  WEATHER: Spring Day, Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, Cold and Blustery Day, Snow and Rain Mixed, Sleet, Storming and White Out, CHEST: Feels true to size, BODY: Feels true to length, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   I got this after 2 replacement Adams jackets from Foursquare under warranty. The material used on this jacket is the worst I have ever seen. I suggest to anyone not to buy any 2008 Foursquare jackets. I have since moved on to DC Jackets and have had no problems. Hopefully the 2009 jackets are made much better but this jacket only gets 1 star.
"Decent starter tuning kit" 6/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Basic Kit
  • Pros:  Does the job, small, easy to carry.
  • Cons:  Tool is just ok, wax is not that great either.

Experience:   Found this on sale real cheap and bought it for the stone. This kit really isn't that great at the retail price, I advise buying a Dakine kit.
"Very Disappointed In These Shoes" 6/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Lowdown Hi Cut Leather
  • Pros:  Look cool, fit pretty good, have boom box on sole.
  • Cons:  Shoes were made very poorly, had to return, the soles actually were recessed into the shoe so all I would be walking on were the sides of the shoes.

Experience:   If you get a good pair then I say these would be great shoes but I am not so lucky with Gravis shoes so far. 2 out of 3 pairs I have bought have been defective in some way.

Comments & Questions

Jacks in the Box
just so you know alot of skate shoes are made like that. doesn't mean they're defective, just need to wear them for a bit

"A must for tuning." 6/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Tuning Vises
  • Pros:  Get the job done, holds board steady, lightweight.
  • Cons:  Made out of plastic so durability is in question with these. Have to see how long these last. Not worth the retail price.

Experience:   If you can find these on sale then I would say get em but at the full retail price look elsewhere.

"EPIC BOOTS!!!" 6/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Vans Fargo Focus
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Heel hold, Comfortable, Easy lacing, Durable, Traction, Warm, Breathable, Waterproofing, Easy in & out, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  heel is snug

Experience:   This was the first purchase I ever made from sierra back in 2006. I was really interested in this boot when it came out and called around locally to see if anyone had them in stock to try on. It is the best fitting boot I have ever worn. The Boa Focus system allows you to get the best possible fit and allows you to lace up and take them off super quick. These boots would fit someone who has a normal sized foot to narrow foot. When these finally wear out I will be looking to buy the newest Vans with the boa focus system.
"It's a Uninc" 6/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Un Inc

  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Popular on mountain, Stiff, Well known brand

Experience:   I own the Uninc 160 and it does everything well and is super high quality. Nothing says Badass like having a Baby Cougar on your board.
"My Favorite Belt! But It Falls Apart Over Time." 6/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Studded
  • Pros:  Looks sick, Studded, Fits Great.
  • Cons:  The only con with this belt is that it is not leather which over time the belt will split down the center and the belt holes also begin to tear.

Experience:   I really wish that Burton made this belt better but it still wouldn't stop me from buying another.
"Awesome Bindings!!!!" 6/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Mission
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These are the best preforming, most comfortable bindings I have ever used. They look sick and preform even better. These make me want to try the higher end Burton bindings as they may be even better. Only thing I can say negative is that the teeth on the bindings straps are starting to get worn down a bit.
"Just OK Headband" 5/30/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Coal The Richie Head Band
  • Pros:  Looks cool
  • Cons:  This thing is way too big it just barely fits. It doesn't really cover the ears totally, the material used could be a higher weight acrylic (its not that warm).

Experience:   I am pretty dissapointed by this headband as Coal normally makes a pretty high end product. I suggest getting the Special Blend headband as the fit and quality is much better.
"Hate Them!" 5/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Flow The Five
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Cons:  Heavy, Boot slippage, Uncomfortable, Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  must be adjusted smaller

Experience:   I absolutely hated theese bindings. I bought them because my friends ride flows and they are always strap in before me so I figue I would give theese a try. I did 2 runs with these bindings and after that switched back to my Burton Missions. These bindings have such lack of feel and control that I actually injured myself on my second run and that was the only time I fell last season. Do yourself a favor and buy a high quality regular strap binding. It is not worth the extra 20 seconds you save for such a poor performing binding.

  • Name: 2009 Burton Gore Tex
  • Pros:  Waterproof, Come with liners that can be worn by themselves, Warm, Good looking, Great Fit.

"Nice Lined Board Bag!" 5/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Freestyle Bag Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Fully Lined, Nice Designs, Super Durable Material, Heavy Duty Zipper.
  • Cons:  The only real con with this bag is that for me I can't fit my board with large size Burton Bindings as the Burton Highbacks are to long to alow the bag to zipper all the way closed. Other than this it is a great bag.

Experience:   This is a great bag and I would suggest it to anyone as long as you don't have bindings with that tall highbacks.

  • Pros:  Nice leather accents, lyca liner, the sole material is kinda cool. insoles has cool building design.
  • Cons:  These shoes come with leather laces which look cool but were ripped before even trying them on the first time. Shoes run about a 1/2 size larger than normal sneakers and are a bit on the wide side.

Experience:   Decent looking casual shoe that should come with some brown cotton laces as well as the leather.
"Nice AG Military Style Castro Hat" 5/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Analog Interface Castro
  • Pros:  Looks cool, nice metal AG logo on side, has analog lining inside hat.
  • Cons:  Sizing is a little off as these as I bought a 7 3/8 but that is really a large 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 so it is a little big. Wish that info was listed before purchasing.

Experience:

"Nice spring/summer jacket" 5/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Neff Checkerface
  • Pros:  Nice exact fit, 2 layer nylon, inside pocket.
  • Cons:  Don't really like the cupcake logo on the zipper. I wish I knew about that before buying. No vents

Experience:
"Really Like This Fleece" 5/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Bonded
  • Pros:  Fabric is really nice and its ultra warm. Logo looks cool. Waterproofing and wind resistance.
  • Cons:  Would be nice if it had some zippered vents. The fit is pretty good but it is a tad larger than other Burton Hoodies I own.

Experience:   Super nice fleece that is good in colder weather with a jacket or in warmer weather by itself.
"Extremely warm but runs really large." 5/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Transpose RDBL
  • Pros:  Cool Design, Really warm. Can use this instead of a jacket while riding.
  • Cons:  Runs a full size larger than marked. AG logo not adhered that well. This could almost be too warm to use as an insulating layer unless its below zero.

Experience:   This is really meant to be worn while riding. I would say it is too heavy for everyday use. I really wish this ran true to size. I also own the Burton Bonded Fleece and like that alot more.
