"SB signature 09" 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Special Blend Signature Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Gore tex, Nice fitting,
  • Cons:  sticky main zipper, small main zipper,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Loose, but not baggy.

Experience:   Me: 38in chest, 32-33in waist. 5'8. Roughly 148lbs. I got a size small. It fits well on me. Loose, but not baggy. I normally wear mediums in street clothing and sweater. This jacket fits loose even though it is a small. This is an awesome jacket. Its gore-tex. I have the 09 version. My other jacket is a Burton Ronin (10k). This jacket feels a whole lot sturdier. It fits into my SB pants using snap buttons. Only con I can think of is the front main zipper. It tends to get stuck alot, but there's an easy fix. Just get an iron and iron out the crease in low heat. This keeps the inner material from getting stuck in the zipper. I would like it better if the zipper was larger for easier zipping with gloves on while on the slopes. I would have given this a 5 star had it not been for the zipper. But even with that, this jacket is the bomb!!. Totally waterproof.
"Hail Boots will do" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Hail
  • Pros:  Soft , Lacing system, Pretty light
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   I wear shoes size 9-9.5 depending on the type of shoes and brand. I got these in 9.5. They fit pretty well. When I tightened the laces and walk around they are pretty snug. But once on the mountain after 3-4 hours of riding the toes feels a bit loose. I tried using the J-bars, they hurt my heels so didnt even bother. These shoes are soft. Great flex to them. A velcro system on the inner linings to keep a snug fit in your shin area. Very comfortable. I have noticed that after riding for about half a day, I do find that there is a pressure spot that hits the top of my feet and causes some pain. Not too bad, but an uncomfortable dull pain. It could just be the shape of my feet. I am thinking of getting a pair of footbeds to compliment these boots. Giving it a 4 out of 5 just because of the pressure spot. Other than that, I do love these boots!
"First V-Rocker" 4/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Fast base, Almost impossible to catch an edge, Stable at high speed
  • Cons:  Some skidding on groom runs, Takes a bit of time to adjust from camber boards.,

Experience:   This is my first v-rocker. Took me about 2 runs to adjust. My other board is the sierra crew 10'. This board is -almost- impossible to catch an edge. I gain much more confident riding this board. I love my sierra crew, I was able to learn to carve nicely using it, but I had to adjust my speed because I was catching edges every so often. This board boosted my confidence by 5-folds. I caught a lot less edges and was able to go really fast and am loving it!!. I was skeptical when reading about rocker boards and how it made ride so much more fun. Its TRUE! I really love my sierra crew, but I love my v-rocker even more. The only bad thing I would have to say about this board is the skidding when riding on groomers. Other than that everything about this board is awesome. I would highly recommend this board to anyone looking to try a v-rocker board. Thanks!

  • Pros:  Easy manuverability, fast, great flex.,

Experience:   This board is awesome. First run down the mountain and some kid ran over my board leaving a huge mark-no biggie. I was able to progress alot faster with this board. Stays afloat in powder, pick up speed very fast. Great flex. I love it more and more with each ride. 2 thumbs up!!
