"Nice, fits well, smart look, if not a little heavy..." 9/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Red Mutiny Snowboard Helmet - Men's
  • Pros:  Good design, Nice Fit, Can fit an audio earphone in.
  • Cons:  A little heavier than other brands.,

Experience:   I have the Mutiny II, which is pretty much the same except the goggle lock is like the ones on the Defy (uses elastic band to clip it in,) this is much better than the current ones, as it won't be able to fit goggles that have a separation in their band/strap (for example Smith Phenoms or Airgoggles.) The one I have is in green camo. I was looking at 3 other brands for a helmet which has a visor which was Pro-tec, Bern and Smith, but I found that this one fitted my head and looks well on me. (I have a fairly rounded head, so the slight angular cut of this helmet looks good on me.) I found it to be a little heavy. (The lightest helmet I tried was the Pro-tec and the heaviest was the Bern.) But it fitted, and didn't really bother me much. So far I've had a couple of hits with it on and I have to say it felt solid. That is, I felt like it really protected my head. I'm happy with the helmet, now I just have to find a pair of earphones for it, I'm currently using it with my skullcandy FMJ and it kinda hurts my ears.
"Awesome all rounder board." 7/2/2011

  • Name: 2011 Rome Agent Rocker Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  All rounder, Great on all terrain/conditions, Good grip, stable.
  • Cons:  Quite sensitive to movement.,

Experience:   A great board that is very stable through all types of snow. I went through icy, slushy and powdered conditions and it keep stable and holds very well. I was using a bataleon funkink a week ago at the same mtn before this, and on a freeride it definitely feels more stable and I notice that I don't slip the bottom out as much. The only thing, and this is a preference I think, is that it doesn't have the feel of locking in when grinding out a box when compared to the funkink. Also prolly due to riding the bataleon, I found that the board seem to be a little more sensitive on turns... took me a bit to be able to not overturn on my edges. All in all a great all rounder board, one that I'd be using alot more than I thought I would.

  • Name: 2009 Analog Crtsian Basic
  • Pros:  Good color,
  • Cons:  Cut a little longer than most sweatshirt,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Cut a little bit longer than usual.

Experience:   Just got this sweatshirt today, and it was really cool. The color really pops out, which is what I want since more of my sweat are usually black. The fit is okay, and the only thing I noticed about this sweat is that it feels a little longer than usual. That's okay tho' it's better than a sweat that I have that ended up shrinking shorter. But, other than that the shoulders fit okay and I love the design.
"Sweet Beanie" 7/27/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Bonfire Softy
  • Pros:  Doesn't look like your typical beanie.,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits snug but doesn't feel tight.

Experience:   Just had this beanie come in today, and I love it. It fits well and not too tight. I have a slightly bigger head than average and I've had trouble with other beanies before being a little too snug and after a while it slowly comes off your head. However, I feel this beanie will be able to keep staying on without having to be fiddled with. I also like how it has a mock-visor, which is why I bought it in the first place. Overall a cool beanie and I can't wait to wear it out.

  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy Ti
  • Pros:  Keeps noise out without disturbing others.,
  • Cons:  Bit big to use while snowboarding.,

Experience:   Love these Titans, gives a pretty good sound, and fits well over my ears. I've noticed that after a while tho', it does squeeze on your ears (we're talking after using it on an 8 hour flight overseas.) Other than that, I wouldn't use it 'boarding coz if you fall, the weight's likely to let it pop off where you have it.
"Good sound in a reasonable package" 7/18/2010

  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy Titan
  • Pros:  Soft foam plugs included stops outside noise., Good sound. ,
  • Cons:  A little pricey.,

Experience:   I've got these plugs and have used it for quite a number of activities, including riding my motorbike, and I have to say, it does a good job of keeping outside noise away. I've used the soft foam plugs instead of the rubber ones, and although it takes a bit to mold into your ear, once it expands, it totally blocks outside noise. I'm usually able to hear the rumble of my bike's akrapovic pipes even thru regular headphones, but these skullcandys just reduce the low rumble.
"Toasty Warm" 7/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Gore
  • Pros:  Warm, water proof & dry., Can get warmer with extra lining,
  • Cons:  a little chunky.,

Experience:   I've worn the gloves for a couple of sessions now and I have to say, that other than when I took it off and had some snow fall into it, that it keeps warm and dry pretty damn good. I've never had to use the lining so far, but I have no doubt it'll keep it warm there too. Also, love the little heat release zip for when it gets too hot. Only con is that it's a little chunky, but what glove isn't when it's this warm. I think the only option is to get something with hipora in it....
"Good board, even for beginner." 7/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Stunt Wide Snowboard 153
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Park
  • Pros:  Rocker easy to pickup., Edges doesn't catch easy, Love the graphics
  • Cons:  A little too flexy for higher speed carving.,

Experience:   Used the stunt as my first board, and was originally nervous about it to learn, being a park board, but it worked out okay! I felt that the v-rocker made it a little easier to get going. As a primarily park board, the flex is a little soft for higher speed carving, but well as a beginner it'll do. =) Oh yeah... and I love the graphics, it's mad.
"Good premium bindings" 7/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Cartel
  • Pros:  Full feet bed cushion, Adjustability,
  • Cons:  L too large for the size I got (I'm a 10.5 boot),
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I got this and the burton custom (which I have yet to try,)and so far I like the fit feel and flex of the board. I've used it with my Sierra Stunt, wearing a pair of DC serum. Gives good responsiveness. I may have bought the wrong size however, as my boots are 10.5 and I got the L size. (I used my brother's mission on M and it seemed too small.) It's all good it still strapped up tight with some adjustment on the bindings itself. Overall a good binding to start on, especially if you want to move into park, which is what I want to do.
"Sizing fits, perfect for beginners." 4/18/2010

  • Name: 2010 Ride LXh Womens
  • Pros:  Fits well., Interchangable cap to toe strap to suit., Bought for cheap.
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   When I got these bindings for my g/f, I was a little worried as they reviews said that they would have been too small. However when I got them the boots fitted fine. The snow hasn't fallen down under yet, but I can see they'll make a good pair of beginner's bindings. definitely. BTW, the shoe size was a US7, or 24.5. Maybe others were putting a UK7, which is a US 8 on the small bindings....
