"Oh... so that's what POP is!!!" 2/22/2010

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Reverse Crew Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps
  • Pros:  Pop, Stability, Speed

Experience:   I've never ridden a reverse camber board before and wasn't sure what to expect. Reading up on reverse camber though it seems like some people complain that those kind of boards were unstable or didn't hold an edge very well. You certainly won't have any of those problems with the Sierra Reverse Crew. I strapped this baby on and was hauling down the mountain like I was in the Olympics. And the board was very stable at high speeds going over chopped snow. I did notice that my Sierra Crew was a little bit more stable and held an edge a bit better but the Reverse Crew still handled like a champ. Before taking the Reverse Crew out, I couldn't ollie over a penny if my life depended on it. Once I had this board on the mountain though, I was doing ollies all over the place. I wasn't doing ollies over cars or anything ridiculous like that but the board did make it a whole lot easier to pop up for jumps whether I was going off a ramp or just riding down the mountain. The board just kind of begs you to play with it. I was doing butters, 360's and tail presses down the mountain as well. I've done those before but on this board, they just seemed to be easier to pull off. All in all, if you're a rider that is progressing and starting to do jumps and starting to hit the park, this is a great board cause it just makes it easier to start doing all of the little tricks. Actually, I'm sure this board would be great for almost any rider... it's just like having a steady stream of fun tied to your feet.

"Without question... the BEST board I have ever ridden" 2/9/2010

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Crew Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Fast, fast, fast.. did I mention fast, Stable at high speed or low speed, Holds an edge like nobody's business
  • Cons:  Scratches easily,

Experience:   I was using a Ride Havoc and bought this board because my Ride was pretty much dead and didn't have anymore pop to it. I never really thought a board would make that big of a difference in my riding but boy was I wrong... dead wrong. To start off, skills-wise I am probably somewhere between a progressing beginner to an intermediate rider. I can hit small jumps and low boxes... do fine on blue runs and can take blacks with a little difficulty. But everytime I rode, my buddies would fly past me down the mountain cause at high speed my board had a lot of chatter and was simply too unstable for me to feel comfortable. But the Crew changed all that. The board, especially with the factory wax, was crazy slippery and fast. It just kept picking up speed heading down runs. However, the amazing thing was that the board's stability only increased as my speed went up. I even freaked out a couple of times and tried to bail but the board kept me up. It's like vehicle dynamic control on a snowboard. I took the board through the park, over jumps, through groomed and ungroomed runs and it handled like a pro. We even had some whiteout conditions where I couldn't see the terrain very well but whether I hit a bump or a dip, the board took it all in stride and definitely made me a much better rider. I never could have done that with my Ride Havoc. Very forgiving but also holds an edge really well. You can definitely carve with this board all over the mountain. This board is absolutely worth the price... hell it's worth twice the price if you ask me. Whoever got in on the deal where it was $249 with free shipping AND a $100 gift card got an amazing board for basically $150... I missed that deal by a week but even at full price, this board is well worth it. It has totally opened up a whole new world for my riding and I feel a lot more confident in taking on whatever the mountain can throw at me with the Crew underneath my feet.
