These boots fit better than any other I have ever owned or tried on. I recently tried on about a dozen boots of various models from Burton, to Forum, to ThirtyTwos, etc, to be disappointed by all. When I put on the DC Judges, I swear it was like the clouds parted and the sun came out. With other boots, I almost always have a problem with the crease in the tongue (where it goes from the flat part and turns toward the shin)creating a pressure point and reducing circulation,as well as causing pain. The Judges are the only boot I tried where I didn't have this problem. The ankle support in this boot is also amazing. I've had Burtons with the J bars installed, and they sucked (for me). The DC's have a built in ankle support system which holds my heel right in place, and is extremely comfortable. Also, the liners don't slide around in the boot, so when your heel is in, it's in.
Next up, the BOA lacing system (aka no laces). Its awesome. There is an upper and lower zone, with a seperate click wheel that you turn to tighten for each zone. As the laces have been replaced with steel cable, there is no stretching, so these puppies don't loosen up. There is more room above your toes and foot than with most boots which is great for my shaped foot, but if you don't need the space, you can just crank the lower boa down without crushing your shin. The liner has a regular speed lace on the bottom zone, and a Velcro strap for the top. Another nice feature is the Velcro that keeps the tongue on the inner liner centered.
Color choices are limited, but who cares when they feel so good. They are a little hard to get into because of the heel support, but the boa system still means your boots will be on and tight before anyone else's. They are also a bit pricey, but again, They money is worth the comfort and not having blisters.
