"My 1st kit" 11/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Dakine Super Tune Snowboard Tune Kit
  • Pros:  has just about everythng needed,
  • Cons:  does not come with spray cleaner, vague tuning instructions,

Experience:   I never waxed and tuned my own board and it was a little confusing at 1st. Tuning instructions are vague and I ended up going on youtube for that. Iron was user friendly and the cord is long. I wish it came with some spray cleaner to clean the dirt and gunk off before waxing it. I ended up just going to my local snowbaord shop for that.
"Made life easier" 11/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Space Sack Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  spacious, easy to carry,
  • Cons:  No padding,

Experience:   I use this for bus trips and storage. I have a 156 sized bag and I fit 158 & 155 sized boards inside with my boots, 4 bindings (removed from 1 of the baords) and 2 pair gloves, 2 goggles & a helmet. If I were to check this in on a plane i'd protect the base with some cardboard cuz there's no padding. Even tho this has a shoulder strap, sometimes it's easier to wear it as a bag pack. but that gets a little uncomfortable. Overall i'm glad i own one.
"Simple Pants" 3/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 686 Mannual Militant Insulated
  • Pros:  Warm, light weight, kept me dry,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Baggy

Experience:   There's a lot of insulated clothing out there that's heavy. I like these becasue they're lightweight, baggy and performs as advertised. Simplicity and Technicality, without the high price tag.
"Good for Ski Bus trips" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  a lot of pockets, roomy,
  • Cons:  bigger than expected,

Experience:   I bought this bag for a ski bus trip. It's a little bigger than what I needed but that extra space might come in handy one of these days. It felt weired riding the lift while wearing this but none of the straps got caught when unloading. Cant complain much when I got it for about $25.
"I like it a lot" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Rome DSK Insulated
  • Pros:  warm, low profile,
  • Cons:  wish it had an external chest pocket,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Normal

Experience:   I wore this on a windy 30 degree day and had a short and long sleeve t-shirt under and it kept me warm. It's not bulky so it does not take up a lot of room in my closet. It does not many options on places to wear your lift ticket but that's the only bad thing I can say about it.
"Decent bindings" 3/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  feather weight, adjustable toe ramps, responsive, compatible with 3 hole and 4 hole patterns,
  • Cons:  cap strap, time consuming to adjust,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   bought these early this season and the cap strap keeps moving on my toes even though they're centered and snug. I have Burton Freestyle boots so I didnt think there would be a problem. The other thing I dont like is you have to completey remove the screws to set them back/forward. Some other bindings you just have to loosen the screws. Performance wise, I like my bindings to be light and responsive and this does the job good enough.
"Easier" 12/29/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Convert Snowboard Leash
  • Pros:  light weight, quick release,

Experience:   With my old leash I had to take off one of my gloves to connect/dissonnect because the hook was so small. With this leash I can keep my gloves on because it's easy to snap on and off. Now my hands stay warm. I prefer these better than the longer leashes because I get paranoid that the longer ones might get caught on something. This is small enough to stay out of harm's way. I gave it a good tug and it feels durable enough to hold a board. I didnt hear any crack or rip.
"Coal Beanie" 12/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Coal The Staple Brime Beanie
  • Pros:  timeless style, can be used every day,
  • Cons:  thin,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   This beanie fits not too loose or not too tight and has a clasic/timeless style to it. The material feels a little thin but durable. It keeps my head warm but not hot. For those really, really, reeealy cold days/nights i'd use a thicker beanie.
"Phenoms" 12/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Phenom Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Helmet compatible, UVA protection, Lifetime warranty

Experience:   I have the ones with the ignitor mirror and they work really well. I dont get any glare or fogging and I have good vision while wearing these on the slopes. They're stylish and the lens is mirrored but you can still kind of see my eyes up close when I wear them.
"Baggy Beanie" 12/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton All Day Long Beanie Men's
  • Pros:  warm, stylish,
  • Cons:  feels like it will fall off,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L

Experience:   By the way this beanine looks online, I knew it would be a little baggy. I wear a wave cap to help keep it on. The material feels like it could snag on something easily. It kept my head warm and didnt make it hot. I would wear a thicker beanie for those white out days and wear this for warmer days on the slopes.
"Happy Beanie" 11/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Forum Happy Beanie
  • Pros:  warm, Bob Ross icon,
  • Cons:  only style color available,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   When it first put this beanie on, it felt a tad bit loose. But I had a feeling it would be like that because of the way it looks on the mannequin head so no surprises there. I wore this beanie when it was about 35 degrees out and it kept my head warm. Walking around my head started to sweat a little but not too much. It also feels more durable than some of my other beanies. The material feels like it wont snag on something easily.
"No more cold hands" 11/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Dakine Covert Snowboard Leash
  • Pros:  easy on/off, sturdy,

Experience:   This is a lot better than my old leash because I dont have to take my gloves off to connect/release. It only saves me about 5 seconds but that 5 seconds just might come in handy one of these days. The buckle also feels sturdy. I gave it a few good tugs and dropped it on the floor a few times and it's still good. It should last a long time if you dont abuse it.
"No Sweat" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Mid Venting Treeline Pullover Men's
  • Pros:  Aegis Microbe Sheild,, soaks up sweat without getting wet,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   I wore this in spring like conditions and was really warm. While my beanie was kinda sweaty, this was not. Wear this under a shell in spring like conditions and under an insulated jacket for those cold days. I usually wear a medium and bought this in a small and fits snug. I like my clothes to be loose but this does not constrict any movements.
"Lightweight base" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Lightweight Badlands Pants
  • Pros:  Microbe shield, helps keep you dry,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  just right

Experience:   I wore these in spring like conditions under non insulated pants and I was warm. I did sit in the snow for a while waiting for some friends and I got cold. So if you sit on snow a lot, wear these under some insulated pants.
"Pockets galore" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (4) No

  • Name: 2010 Bonfire Safari 2 Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  warm, waterproof, loose fit,
  • Cons:  no pockets on the inner liner,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  loose

Experience:   this jacket has 7 pockets. 3 with a zipper, 4 with velcro, but they're all on the outside. Not a big fan of velcro because after a few years it will start to lose it's stickiness (depending how much you use it) and it sometimes sticks to inner liner. All you need underneath is a baselayer and shirt and you'll be warm. If it's sunny, leave the layers at home.

"Smith Fuse Rc36" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Fuse Goggles Matte Black
  • Pros:  AntiFog, comfortable, adjustable vent, low profile, no glare,
  • Cons:  you can see my eyes when im wearing them,

Experience:   I have a medium face and do not wear a helmet and this fits just right. I wore these all day/night at Boreal. When it was sunny it reduced the brightness, when it was cloudy it looked a shade brighter and at night it looked a shade dimmer but I could still easily see. Dont wear these on your forehead because they will fog up.
"not for me" 3/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Vapor
  • Pros:  looks nice,
  • Cons:  highly recomend to buy 2,

Experience:   I ended up returning this because I felt I needed 2 of these. There's 2 metal pieces in the middle that looks like it would dig in the nook and crannies of your boot and keep you stable. It looks real nice but I dont like a lot of stuff on my board.
"comes in handy" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Cool Tool
  • Pros:  small, functional, easy to grip, ratchet ,

Experience:   This comes in handy if you like to adjust your settings while on the slopes or if your binding gets loose. Ratchet lets you screw/unscrew without lifting. I have no use for the wrench yet but when I do I'll be happy I have it.
"Locked up" 3/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Cool Lock
  • Pros:  easy to use, sturdy, easy to turn dials with gloves on,
  • Cons:  a little on the big side,

Experience:   I used to have a micro lock but I like this better. It's a little bigger but not too bad, the cable is thicker and the case feels sturdier. It also came cheaper than my old one. But if someone really wants your board they'll find away. I never had a problem with this lock
"Beginners Luck" 3/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Nitro Lectra Clean
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds
  • Pros:  light weight, easy to maneuver in line, easy turns,

Experience:   I bought this for my lady and she can now keep up with my on the hill. She was having so much fun she tried an ollie but fell. But at least she had the confidence to try it. No more complaining about heavy rentals.
"Always mo betta da kine" 3/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Titan
  • Pros:  Warm, water does not leak through, snow does not get in by the wrists, great for making snowballs

Experience:   bought these last minute cuz I couldnt find my old gloves and these were the only gloves in my size. Not disappointed at all. I was skeptical about mittens but they work just as good but I still prefer the 5 finger pipe gloves for grabbing my board.
"Effortless..." 3/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Nitro Subzero Le
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Light weight, super flexable, 2yr warranty, Not everyone owns a nitro,
  • Cons:  did not come waxed,

Experience:   I went from riding a traditional camber board to the gullwing camber (rocker) board so there was a little getting used to it on the 1st day. Once I got over that, fun, fun, fun. Spinning, butters, jumps, etc. feel effrotless. It's a little harder to maneuver in line for the lift but other than that, its alllll good. Looks sweet with my yellow Burton Missions
"Does what it supposed to do" 3/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Baker Snowboard Gloves Women's
  • Pros:  Warm, keeps hands dry, snow does not go in,
  • Cons:  a little bulky,

Experience:   My lady has these and she doesnt complain about cold wet hands anymore.
"killer buds, duuude..." 2/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy Smokin Buds
  • Pros:  decent sound, adjustable size for earhole,
  • Cons:  wire could have been a little shorter,

Experience:   I dont expect Bose quality sound from these, but they keep me entertained. They could have cut the wire at least 6 shorter cuz it gets tangled a lot, but maybe that's just me. I own the Rasta colored ones and get compliments every now and then.
"nice n soft" 2/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Comfortable, lightweight, flexible, warm,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  8.5 or 9
  • Boot Size:  8.5

Experience:   1st thing i said when trying these on was ooh! I walked around the house in these for a couple days because they're warm and comfy. I also prefer the traditional lacing sytem because if the laces break, replacements are only about $5. Can also buy different color laces to customize if you like.
"Old Faithful" 2/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Clash
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park
  • Pros:  lightweight, turns easy, jumps & landings ok,
  • Cons:  there's cheaper beginner boards out there,

Experience:   This was my 1st board and ended up selling after 3 years ($$$ reasons). After skipping last season ($$$ reasons), I borrowed my friends 2010 Clash and it was like reuniting with my old pal. This board is easy to learn on. Good times!
