"Soft but tight at top" 5/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Emblem Youth
  • Pros:  Very soft, good fit, warm,
  • Cons:  Too tight at top, shrinks,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  The fit is good at foot but too tight at top

Experience:   Got these socks for my 5 year old and got no complaints about being cold and the fit was good. It did, however shrink quite a bit. He did complained how painful he was at the top of the sock around his shin because it was way too tight.
"Fun and Easy " 4/20/2010

  • Name: 2010 Burton Riglet Board Reel
  • Pros:  Easy to use,

Experience:   Got this along with the Burton Chopper 90cm and used it to pull our little 4 year old up the slopes for him to learn snowboarding. He had a lot of fun getting towed around and the riglet was easy to hold on to. Overall a cool gadget to have til he goes up the lift chairs.
"Well padded and cute" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Red Buzzcap Youth
  • Pros:  Very well padded, looks adorable,
  • Cons:  Runs small,

Experience:   Got this helmet for my 2 year old daughter mainly for sledding and future ski lessons and thought it was very well padded and adorable. She wore it for as long as a two year old would but didn't complain at all when she had it on. Maybe my 2 year old's head is big but the S fit her just right. Hopefully she won't outgrow it soon and will still be able to wear it next season.
"Soft and Comfy" 4/15/2010

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Midweight Cornice Pull Over Crew
  • Pros:  Soft and comfy,
  • Cons:  Too Big,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Too Big

Experience:   The material is really nice and soft. But the size runs big for my 5 year old. Hopefully it'll fit him better next season.
"Good Quality but fit is too big" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Cargo Youth
  • Pros:  Good Quality, adjustable waist, zip to jacket,
  • Cons:  Way too Big,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Way too big

Experience:   Bought this pair of pants for my almost 5 year old son and found the size to be way too big. Small is for 5/6 year olds but it fits like a 7/8 year old. I went with S in hope that he will grow into it but now I'm thinking it'll take him 2 more years to grow into it! Should've gotten a xs for him. But it is a good quality and the zip to jacket feature is great!
"Super silky and comfy" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Rome Accolade Bonded Fleece Jacket
  • Pros:  Super silky and comft,
  • Cons:  Length of jacket is short,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XS
  • Fits Like:  XS
  • Description:  Fitting and looks good

Experience:   The look of the jacket is very basic but form fitting. Absolutely love the feel of the silky outer layer and the comfort of the fleece lining. Not sure if it'll be warm enough on colder days but think spring weather will be okay. Only wish that the length was a little longer for coverage over board pants so snow won't get in on lower back.
"Super lite but warm" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Quiksilver Aker 1/2 Zip
  • Pros:  Lite and warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L

Experience:   Got a couple of these fleece jackets for my husband in a L and XL. The large fits better but the XL would be good for layering since it's so thin. He loves the comfort and feel of the fabric and was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty warm for such a thin fleece jacket. Will test it out this weekend at Mammoth and hopefully it'll be warm enough since it's not really spring conditions there yet!!
"Awesome Bag" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Heli Pro - 20L
  • Pros:  Lots of storage and comfy,

Experience:   When I first got this bag, I totally thought this bag was going to be way too big since I've only been wearing a compact 52oz Camelbak. I wore it during our last trip to Mammoth and it was awesome!! There was plenty of storage for my gloves, goggle, and my 52oz camel water bag. The best part is to be able to strap either my helmet or snowboard on to the back and leaving me hands free to trot my 2 little kids around. It was also very comfortable and did not affect my boarding at all. Overall, love this bag!!
"Warm and Comfy" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Explorer Crew First Layer Top
  • Pros:  Comfy, warm,
  • Cons:  slightly too big,
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   My son put this on and like the warmth and the comfort. He's only 4 1/2 yrs old so the S is too big for him. But he'll grow in to it hopefully in the next season.
"Easy and comfy" 4/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Grom Snowboard Boots Kid's
  • Pros:  Velcro is great,
  • Cons:  None,
  • Shoe Size:  10-11 toddlers

Experience:   Got these boots for my 5 yr old son who's just starting to learn how to snowboard. Have not put them with bindings yet but was able to use them to stand on the footpads on the Burton Chopper and using the riglet to pull him around. The velcro makes it really easy to get in and out, and there was no complaints about comfortability. It was just as easy for him to trek around in snow with these boots than his regular Sorel snow boots. He's a size 10-11 and had no problem fitting into a size 12 with a thick pair of Burton snowboard socks.

"Great bindings" 4/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow NXT FRX
  • Pros:  Responsive and comfortable,
  • Cons:  Not as light as Burton bindings, Need time to get use to,

Experience:   Got this for my husband for his birthday. First day was a little challenging for him to get in and out of it and got frustrated. After minor adjustment and loosening some gears, he managed to get in and out quickly and love the response, comfort and the ease. It's his first time using Flows and now he will not go back to traditional bindings. It's also lighter than he thought.
"Ninja Heli pack" 4/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Heli Youth
  • Pros:  Small and Compact,
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   My 5 yr old son loves this backpack. It's just right for his frame and it holds the basics like his goggles, mittens, and helmet. It even holds a 32oz Camelbak water pack. Having your kids carry their own gear is totally worth it!!
