"not bad but not the best" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith I/O
  • Pros:  great framless look, comes with two lenses,
  • Cons:  not the best fit on my face, gap near the nose, still fogs,

Experience:   i've been using these bad boys for about 3 seasons now. i got them as a gift so my sizing complaint is due to me not trying it out and purchasing it myself. there's a small gap right at the bridge of my nose and when i wear a bandana on my face, my breath easily floats up that gap and causes the inside to fog. maybe i just lack a nose bridge (i'm asian). i also noticed that even though they have a small vent in the double pane lens, that i get fog on the inside of the front pane. i've tried spy soldiers, smith phenoms, and these i/o's and i just can't get away from foggin them up. otherwise, they're great goggles and the lenses provide for awesome definition in the snow.
"not bad" 3/14/2010

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Key Lock
  • Pros:  works, comes with 2 keys, decent length cable
  • Cons:  gotta push hard for it to lock,

Experience:   seeing that my friends and i all got new boards this season, i decided to shell out the few bucks to protect my investment. the key works well and the cable is long enough to get at least 3 boards locked together. sure it's not going to stop a determined thief w/ cutters but if he's gonna steal my stuff he's gonna have to work for it.
"don't leave home without it!" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Heli Pro 16L
  • Pros:  tons of space, tons of pockets, comfy

Experience:   ever since i got my bag i haven't gone a day of boarding without it. it holds all my essentials plus some! if you're a picky boarder like me - i bring my hot and cold weather gloves, fleece, baselayers, snacks, locks, ect. then this bag will have space for everything you need and enough space for you to throw in your jacket if it gets too hot. i've also taken a few nasty spills and this bag has definitely cushioned a few of my falls and it takes a beating but looks and works as well as day 1.
"awesome softshell" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Suburban Softshell
  • Pros:  good fit, built-in mittens, tons of styles and colors
  • Cons:  nope!,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  great fit. loose enough to add 1-2 layers under, but not too baggy

Experience:   awesome softshell hoodie. when i ride i prefer not to have a ton of bulk and this jacket is perfect. i throw a base-layer on and if its real cold i'll add in a fleece. it has a hole for you to thread through your headphones so you can listen to some tunes while boardin. looks great and i love how they have mellow designs (black magic) to more colorful ones (aston kiwi).
"roomy" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Ronin Gore Cargo
  • Pros:  good material,
  • Cons:  a lil big,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  i'm 5'10 175lbs w/ a 33 waist. the large is a bit big for me

Experience:   i like my pants baggy but these are a lil bit on the too baggy side. not too much... just a bit. good material and sturdy pants. just enough pockets for all my needs. my only complaint is that the bottoms of these are so big and loose that when i walk around the village i tend to step on my own pants. the good thing is that the material is good and i haven't torn through it yet.
"i should've bought this board!" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Joystick
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  great flex, stable enough for all mountain, fun and buttery!
  • Cons:  none whatsoever,

Experience:   i had a chance to try out a friend's burton joystick last week and man is this board fun! i ride a t.rice btx '10 and though it's great for bombin' down the hill jumps, i wish i would've gotten a board that was a bit more playful. the joystick is that board. not only was i chargin down the mountain w/o feeling i was gonna wipe out, its also great for messin around with manuals and butters. if you want a board that has a bit of everything and is sooper playful, pick up a joystick!
"only the best for my dome!" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  comfortable neck/chin straps, adjustable ventilation ,

Experience:   so i have a large head. i barely fit into flexfit l/xl hats. the xl version of this helm was perfect for me. it's comfortable with plenty of adjustments to get the right fit. the clip on the back is great for securing my goggles. the only issue is that if you go for a 'brim' version of any helmet.. you'll find it hard to rest your goggles on them. the brim gets in the way so they don't stay on the front and tend to slip off. good thing that clip is there!
"does the trick" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Key Lock
  • Pros:  comes with 2 keys, relatively small, long cord
  • Cons:  hard to lock sometimes,

Experience:   i originally had the combination version of this which either sucked or was defective. the lock/key version works a LOT better. you can adjust the cord length pretty easily and when fully extended you can lock 3-4 boards together.
"you can't triple stamp a double stamp!" 4/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Stamp
  • Pros:  good fit for big heads, nice imprinted logo,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  fits those that have a huge dome (me)

Experience:   fits well even though i have a large noggin. sessions always makes great stuff!
"super comfy" 4/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Euro Silver Board Supreme
  • Pros:  looks all high techy, uber comfy, great price
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  i'm a size 10 foot. fits perfectly

Experience:   when i tried these on i thought they were uber comfortable. i usually wear burton socks and notice they hug my calf a lil too tight. these were a bit looser @ the calf area so it didn't feel too tight and the top of the sock was snug enough so it stayed up. i think i just found my new favorite socks!
"Sick shirt!" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Utility Fitted S/S TShirt
  • Pros:  nice shirt, print on the shirt is a high qual. material,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  wash it first and it'll be perfect. i'm 5'10 180lbs

Experience:   when i first tried on the shirt i thought it was a touch too big but after washing it once, it was just right. i like what they used to print the text on the shirt. it's not that typical material that would crack over time. good buy!
"good for big domes!" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Scratch
  • Pros:  good stretch for all sizes,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  stretchy enough to fit my big head

Experience:   purchased the scratch and the stamp beanie from sessions during the sale. both of them fit great considering i have a large head and most hats/beanies don't fit me. can't beat this price!
"good hoodie" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Analogo Basic
  • Pros:  well put-together, simplistic but stylish,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  It's a baggy fit (but not too baggy) for me. I'm 5'10 180lbs

Experience:   great simple hoodie with just the right amount of color to make it stand out. i purchased the Optic hoodie and really like the text down the right arm and the logo across the chest. the text on the arm keeps the hoodie from looking too plain jane from the rear. can't beat it for the price!
"Sick hoodie" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Rome Stanton Bonded
  • Pros:  Good fit, Stylish, Warm
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  I'm 5'10 & 180lbs. Fits just right!

Experience:   very soft inner lining. the pattern on the outside made me think it would be a rougher/leathery exterior but it's actually soft and smooth. i was thinking of just wearing it as street wear but after trying it on, this could double as a light boarding hoodie. two birds with one stone!
"Good flex" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Salomon F20
  • Pros:  good flex, smaller shell than synapse,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   My bud bought a pair of these from SS a few weeks ago. I've always heard great things about Salomon boots and how their inner liners are the bee's knees. Very comfy boot with a pretty legit lacing system (I'm used to BOAs). The smaller shell compared to the Synapse lets you throw these into a smaller binding.
"Nice boot!" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Salomon Synapse
  • Pros:  super comfortable, easy lacing system, heat moldable
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   So I've gone from a DC Allegiance 10.5 to the Salomon Synapse 10. I usually wear 9.5 Asics and Pumas. The Synapse is very comfortable and was nice and snug @ the heel. Though I came from a double BOA system, the lacing system on the Synapse is easy to use. I put quite a bit of force tightening these bad boys and the laces held up like a champ. Something to keep in mind, the outer shell runs big. Though these are 0.5 a size smaller than my DCs, the outside of these run pretty big. Keep that in mind when fittin these into your bindings. I use (L) Burton Exiles.
"great park/freestyle binders" 3/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Exile EST
  • Pros:  asym strap, lower highback,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   these binders are the ish. the highback is lower than cartels so they don't ride up my calf. the design on the white ones are real nice too (black/white on one and inverted on the other). definitely a good buy.
"sig fit is where its @!" 3/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Cargo Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  sig fit is best of both worlds, not too baggy, not too fitted
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  i'm 33 waist and 32 long... fitst just right

Experience:   a nice baggy fit without being overly baggy. great design and it doesn't go nuts with pockets like some other pants can. definitely a good buy... esp @ this price!
"warm and comfy" 3/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Polarmax Max Ride Crew
  • Pros:  thin but warm, great price!,
  • Cons:  not too fond of the white stitching,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  relaxed fit, not tight and under armor-like

Experience:   i have this top and the matching base layer bottoms. they work well on those frosty days when you want to make sure you stay warm. unlike some of the other base layers out there, this one isn't skin tight and has a nice relaxed fit.
"my gf loves these" 3/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Petal
  • Pros:  great grip, nice design,
  • Cons:  small surface area,

Experience:   my gf had these on her board and loved them. even though i thought it was a little small for a stomp pad, she obviously had smaller feet than i did. the little spikes will have no problem grippin on to your boot. they are sharp so make sure you don't stab yourself in the palm when holding your board!
"all show no go" 3/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Cross Studs
  • Pros:  looks nice,
  • Cons:  not very grippy,

Experience:   these are all good if you like the looks but aren't stomp pads made to grip? even though these are better than standing on a naked board... they don't have the best of grip unless you have some serious tread on the bottom of your boots.
"great for larger faces" 3/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Phenom Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  good for the big headed,

Experience:   to give you a frame of reference, i wear a L/XL flex fit hat... and even that sometimes is a bit small. if you have a large noggin like myself, these are nice goggles to get.
"don't leave home without it!" 3/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Tactic Pack
  • Pros:  enough pockets for all your gear, comfy and durable,

Experience:   i never board w/o this. i'm a picky boarder that likes having all my gear with me incase i need it (diff goggle lenses, beanies, face masks, locks, gloves, snacks, ect.) sooper comfy and adjustable. the only downside is that i become the group's packmule.
"defective?" 3/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Cool Lock
  • Pros:  combination is more convenient than key,
  • Cons:  lock stayed stuck, pull hard enough and it releases,

Experience:   i got this originally because i didn't want to fumble around with a key. unfortunately the combination i set worked a few times and all of a sudden one day it decides to permanently lock. i was @ the resort and didn't really know what to do. i was about to ask someone to cut it for me but after spending some time jigglin it around it came loose. the release button no longer works as though i had put in the wrong code. maybe it's defective?
"the best i've ever used" 3/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Helly Hansen Stripe Crew Thermal Top
  • Pros:  thin but warm, great wicking,
  • Cons:  none!,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  its pretty fitted

Experience:   so i've been through the hot chillys, polarmax, and northface base layers. although they are all great products, i found the hh one is a great mix of warmth, wicking, and thickness. when i say thickness i mean i like how thin it is. i prefer not to be a big marshmallow when i'm on the slopes and the hh baselayer allows me to stay warm and be able to slip this under a softshell if i wanted to. if you want to stay warm but you don't like the thicker layers, this is the one to get.
"playful board" 3/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Capita Sierrascope FK
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  playful, buttery,
  • Cons:  a lil sketch bombing down the mtn, a lil sketch landing big jumps,

Experience:   i recently had the chance to check out my buddy's ss. i talked him into gettin it and it was only fair that he let me try it out. i love the flex on this thing. manuals, butters, and ground 1s and 3s came easy. it's great for freestyle riding but careful when bombin down the hill, it does get a lil sketchy.
