"Cuts snow/ice like butter"
- Name: 2010 Burton T6 Snowboard
- Skill: Intermediate
- Use: Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Ungroomed
- Pros: Plenty of pop, Stiff, easy to carve into bad ice patches, Lightweight, picks up speed fast
- Cons: Too stiff, tougher for landing jumps, Almost impossible to do butters, Cosmetic top easily scratched
This was my 3rd board, got a bit shorter than previous ones to be more agile. It is super stiff, so it's effortless to carve and cut into snow/choppy ice...hardly ever makes my legs sore. The board does the work for you. Because of this I was able to fly over sketchy terrain like nothing and go very fast.
Since then I changed to more of a park board (sierrascope) down to a feel of 3, instead of 8. I find that a more soft/flexible board makes landing jumps MUCH easier. I don't miss the acceleration as much because ski patrol will tell me to slow down anyways. A softer board works my legs out more, but I am used to it now. I was never able to do wheelies and butters with the T6 because of its stiffness. But it seems easier on the half pipe.
