  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy Smokin Bud- Micd
  • Pros:  Great fit, good bass for in ear headphones,
  • Cons:  not tough enough to handle a snowboard edge,

Experience:   Love the sound, love that i can answer phone calls. But on my third day riding with them i rode over one of the earphones and busted em.

  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  It fits small heads and stretches to fit big heads

Experience:   I love these things i bought one and ended up ordering the other color. So nice in the fall or the spring.

  • Name: 2008 Raiden Phantom
  • Pros:  colorful, toe cap,
  • Cons:  fits on toe funny,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I am not a huge fan of raiden bindings, everyone thats got them seems to break them. Plus the toe cap pushes on my boot funny. They just feel cheap in your hands.

  • Name: 2010 Burton The Social Womens
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Soft, Cruise Control, Rocker

Experience:   I bought this board for my gf and she looked better than ever after the first run. I am an instructor and i know that learning on a rocker board with beveled edges helps the learning curve increase dramatically. This is a great board if you are just getting into snowboarding or if you want to jump to that next level.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Too much fun, rocker,
  • Cons:  maybe too soft,

Experience:   This board is like a when you get a new toy as a 8 year old. One of the most fun boards i have ever strapped into. With the rocker and the soft flex you can now take your park board and go hit back country and tree runs. Takes a little getting used to i thought i was gonna snap the thing the first couple runs because it is soooo soft.

  • Name: 2009 Nitro T1
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Poppy, good, even flex,
  • Cons:  camber,

Experience:   It is a good board fun on the groomers and in the park. I rode this board being on a rocker all season. I like the even mid flex but i would have prefered to see this board with maybe no camber or rocker.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Spectre
  • Pros:  Looks like a shoe, Warm/Dry for park gloves,
  • Cons:  other peoples review of this glove,

Experience:   Look at all the other reviews, people are dumb. First of all these gloves look sick, i love the shoe design. These are spring/park gloves people that means they are not meant to be warm or keep your hands dry. These are way warmer than grenade park gloves and dryer too. My favorite spring glove that i have owned.

  • Name: 2009 686 Smarty Original Cargo Tall
  • Pros:  Warm, Long, Dry
  • Cons:  None,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Long legs

Experience:   Love 686, best outterwear ever. I am 6'5 and not big in the waist, finally a pair of pants that i dont have to sag to get them to be the right length. Smarty liner makes these the best pants in the world. Super warm on powder days and take the liner out and open the zips and they are perfect for spring days.

  • Pros:  Built in gloves, baggy fit, warm
  • Cons:  none,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XXL
  • Fits Like:  XXL
  • Description:  Great baggy fit

Experience:   Jacket is sweet. Sleeves could be a little longer but, the waist is nice and long. I am 6'5 and need length in my jackets and this gives it to you.
"Not happy" 10/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 DC Status
  • Pros:  Good for first 30 days,
  • Cons:  Stiff, Not Warm, Feet got wet
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  13
  • Boot Size:  13

Experience:   growing up skateboarding i wore a lot of dc shoes. I thought they would have at least a decent snowboard boot....NOPE. First these boots are super stiff. They were comfy for about 20 days then they blew out. I only rode them for 10 more days cause i was waiting for my new boots to come in. The boa system got tangled every other day for the last 10 days. I had to take the spool off to get my boots off. The toe cap of my bindings pushed my boots in a funny way so the boot would compress and open a little and powder would melt in and get my feet wet. Overall, stay away from dc boots.
"Good binding...nothing spectacular" 10/8/2010

  • Name: 2009 Ride Delta Movement
  • Pros:  Light, Supportive, great flex
  • Cons:  funny toe cap,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   This is a good binding. Love the flex, can charge the backcountry and still tweak out grabs in the park. The only thing i dislike is the toe cap slips from time to time. And if you tighten the toe cap down more it presses funny on the boot and pushed in the corner.
"Finally!!!!" 10/8/2010

  • Name: 2007 Gnu 11 Up
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Wide!!!!, great flex,

Experience:   I love gnu!! best boards out there. I have looked so hard for a good freestyle wide board. This is the original. I love the flex, excels everywhere on the mountain. Its a lil rough to ride in the powder have to put a massive tail press down. Its do-able but i love my gnu park pickle for powder rides.
"Finally a Jacket for a tall guy" 10/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Arctic
  • Pros:  Long in sleeves, Long waist, warm when needed, cool when needed
  • Cons:  Maybe a tall cut in the future?,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XXL
  • Fits Like:  XXL
  • Description:  Long sleeves, finally

Experience:   One of the best jackets i have ever owned. I am 6'5 and 185lbs. I need length but not the width. This jacket actual covers all my arms, awesome!!!! Burton dryride tech is amazing, when its cold i would wear long john top and a flannel t-shirt and would be so warm, when it was hot i would just wear a t-shirt and open up those vents and would still be very comfortable. Buy a dryride jacket.
"Best pant i have ever ridden!!!" 10/7/2010

  • Name: 2008 686 Smarty Original Cargo
  • Pros:  WARM!!!!!, dry, great fit
  • Cons:  wish they were longer,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Not too bag, just enough

Experience:   I love these pants. With the liner in and long johns on i have ridden in temps below 0 and been toasty. In the spring you can pull out the liners and just have a great pant. I am 6'5 and have to sag them a bit to make them long enough is my only complaint. But 686 heard my cry and makes them in a tall cut now :) Just ordered a pair of tall cuts.
"All around good glove" 10/7/2010

  • Name: 2010 Analog Gentry Mitt
  • Pros:  2 gloves in one, toasty,
  • Cons:  not a great fit,

Experience:   These gloves are nice because they come with the liner which i would wear alone while riding park or teaching. The mitt with the liner is very warm but has a funny fit. I'm not a fan a open mitts in the first place so that could be my problem. I personally love burton fingered mitts.
"Poor initial design, great company support!!" 10/6/2010

  • Name: 2010 Ride Nitrane Contraband
  • Pros:  Awesome design, Lightwieght, super fast, Great customer service through Ride
  • Cons:  Toe strap sucks!!,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I gave these bindings a 3 simply because Ride knew that the original toe straps sucked and sent me replacement one and paid for the shipping. I rode these binding for about 40 days perfectly and then the toe strap started to rip, I contacted Ride immediately and then sent me 2 new straps asap. Once i got the new straps i rode the binding for about 5 more days until the new set of bindings i had ordered came in. The new straps seem like they will last longer but i am a snowboard instructor and cannot chance them breaking again. I would say for the average riding these would be an awesome binding. I put over 100 days on the mountain a year and i ride very hard. I usually get new binding every year because i need them but half a season was not ok with me.
"Good all around boot" 10/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Jeremy Jones
  • Pros:  Soft flex, durable, great for many conditions,
  • Cons:  might be too soft for many riders,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  13
  • Boot Size:  13

Experience:   I love a very soft flex boot. This boots are amazing, enough support to rip in the trees or down some bumps but soft enough to really tweak out those grabs in the park. Great boot, rode them for about 60 days last season and they never gave out on me.
"One board to do it all!!!" 10/6/2010

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Poppy, great flex, rocker is amazing, Assym side cut, magnatraction, durable
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   First i wish i could check all three for skill level. This is a do it all board. I am a snowboard instructor and I push this board to everyone that will hear. First off if you are a beginner there is no better way to learn then on a rocker. If you are looking to bring your riding to the next level there is no better way then getting the pickle. If you are an advanced rider no questions, buy a pickle. I ride all terrain, from the park, to the trees, to hiking the bowls, to riding backcountry and i have never found a board that can do it all like the pickle. I am 6'5 and bought the 159W, it kills in the park and the next run you can take it to go do some trees. Can't say enough good stuff about this board. I put over 100 days on this board last season and it has held up amazing. Buy mervin boards (gnu, lib-tech, roxy)

  • Name: 2009 Burton Cartel 2009
  • Pros:  Light, Stiff but still tweakable,
  • Cons:  Highbacks fold funny,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Bought these bindings when i broke my ride nitrane contrabands after 40 days on the hill. Love them. I am an instructor and put over 60 days on them last year and they have held up awesome. The new top cap design holds great with no slip. Only downside is the high back hinges at a funny spot so they fold way over the toe edge of your board so they barely fit in my bag.
