"Junior size adult board!" 5/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Feelgood Smalls V-Rocker Youth
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Light weight, Soft flex, Reverse camber v-rocker
  • Cons:  Design, Color dependent on size,

Experience:   I bought this board for myself and really enjoy adult designed stuff in mini size! It's very light weight and the soft flex and reverse camber design makes it easy to do ground tricks. The board uses regular bindings versus the adult model which is an ICS board and requires EST bindings so yay for kid sized stuff! My only gripe is I'm not really fond of the design and the color selection is dependent on the size of the board.
"Stiffer than expected" 5/25/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2012 Capita MicroScope Snowboard Boy's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Good grip, Fast speed,
  • Cons:  Stiff, Very flat,

Experience:   Expected a noodle but board was quite stiff but still soft enough to flex but just not as flexy as my Burton Feelgood Smalls. The board is suppose to be a hybrid but when compared to a flat surface, the board was pretty much flat with a minimal lift at the tips. You may want a stomp pad because the topsheet is very slippery. Board handles carves well at high speed and on ice and kept on its edge nicely. Also was heavier than the Feelgood as well so felt like extra weight. Easier to butter with the Feelgood but Microscope was fun to carve and zig zag on. Not the funnest board but a good all around board to use.
"Fixed Arch Pain!" 2/4/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Superfeet Footbeds F
  • Pros:  Cured arch pain, Gives a little height , Soft and unnoticeable
  • Cons:  Expensive, Cheap looking, Hard to remove from boots

Experience:   My 32 boots insole were stiff so it was causing pain on my arch after riding for a bit so I decided to give SuperFeet a try. I am pint size so it was kind of hard to find my size A because most stores don't carry small sizes, but I finally found my size but the price was insanely expensive. I thought the insoles were pretty cheap looking and felt pretty flat, but after sticking them in my boots and trying it out, it worked wonders! My arch weren't hurting anymore and since the insole was so flat I didn't even really notice they were there, plus the little height lift helped out with my heel lift some. My boots is a size 3 but the insole fitted just fine without cutting it down and it's really secure which will make it a pain to remove later. The green insole is their universal line so for snowboarding I should of bought the hot pink insole, but at least I know it works. If you have arch pain then you should give SuperFeet a try.
"Clear but HUGE!" 12/31/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2010 Oakley Stockholm Goggles Women's
  • Pros:  Clear vision , Wide vision, No Fog
  • Cons:  Huge bug eye lens, Fogs in humid indoors, Clip gets in the way of helmet's clamp

Experience:   I bought this in response to my Oakley O XS, because the youth goggle had limited peripheral vision so I wanted to see if an adult sized goggle would fix that. The Stockholm did, but the lens were super huge! I looked like the idiot snowboard lady on ExpertVillage. Anyways, I wore it with a helmet and there was a space between the nose but it didn't affect the fogging because the lenses were awesome and cleared the fog away instantly. It just didn't do well in hot and humid indoor places, it fogged up and didn't go away until I went out into the cold again. The pink iridum lenses made everything just look like it would without the lenses but the sunshine in your eyes wasn't very cool. The backclip made it a little hard for me to clip my goggle strap on my helmet because that's where both the clips met.
"No Fog!" 12/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2009 Oakley E Frame Goggles
  • Pros:  No fog, Asian nose fit fine, Cheap price
  • Cons:  Limited vision,

Experience:   My first pair of Oakley after buying Smiths and Scotts, Oakley proved to be the first pair that never fogged. I always had issues with my goggles fogging, but with this Oakley, no matter how much I try to fog it, the fog just dissipates fast! I am Asian and there is no gap at the nose so there's no need to go for Asian fit goggles. The cushions are nice and soft and the lens are crystal clear so I can go on wearing it for hours and forget that I am wearing goggles. The only gripe that I have is that since this is for youth, the vision is limited at the sides but it's no big deal because this is still a great pair of goggles.
"Nice and toasty socks!" 5/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Emblem Youth
  • Pros:  Thick, Warm, Soft
  • Cons:  Tight,
  • Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Too small

Experience:   I bought this sock because I wanted to see what the difference between boarding socks and regular cotton socks were and boy did I found out. Once you put it on, you can feel the different feel in texture and the thickness of the sock which makes it more comfy and warmer. I found it a bit tight though when first putting it on so you might want to go one size up or not because the material stretches a bit.
"Toasty gloves!" 5/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Profile Gloves Women's
  • Pros:  Snap button clip, Warm,
  • Cons:  Too roomy, Hard to secure ends, Snow can get in

Experience:   I bought this glove because I needed a new pair of gloves since my only pair was ripping at the palm. I like how you can bundle your gloves together with the snap button clip because most gloves have the plastic clips which is hard to unclip with or without gloves on. The wide opening is great if you wear wrist guards so you can easily slip your hands in but even then the gloves are still a little too roomy. I don't like how the end of the gloves is secured tight by a string because that's hard to do with gloves on so your ends of your gloves will be loose and snow will easily come in your gloves. I've never liked gloves with these kinds of ends but whatever this glove was on sale.
"Old school meets new school tech" 5/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Retro velcro, Boa technology, Ankle support
  • Cons:  Black isn't very black, Orange spots, No J bar or boa repair kit
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought this boot for my older brother's birthday and personally I think it's a really good boot with boa tech since it brings back retro tech with the velcro straps. In the event if your boa tech fails you, the velcro strap will keep your boot in place. My gripes with the boot is that the black boot isn't very black and is probably not even black, there was also orange spots on the rim of the boots from manufacturer so I have to find a way to clean that off, they cut back on including complimentary j bars and boa repair kit with the purchase of the boots so you have to get them yourself.
"Not Youth, but Women Size" 5/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Stiletto Smalls Youth
  • Pros:  Easy in and out, Locks well once you lock it,
  • Cons:  Wrong size label, Women size, not Youth,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought this thinking it was size Youth because it says size Youth and is in the Youth section but it is really Women size and says so on the box. I don't understand this mislabeling because Sierra offers Women Stiletto as well. Anyways, there is a misconception based on the Women Stiletto about it being hard to get in and out as well as it not locking and coming loose. It is very easy in and out and the ratchet probably didn't locked because they probably didn't put it in far enough but once you get it to lock then it's solid.
"Overpriced for a piece of rag" 5/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2009 Forum Destroyer Bandana
  • Pros:  Okay design,
  • Cons:  Thin, Cheap material,

Experience:   The material was cheaper than what I thought it would be because I expected it to be a little thicker but apparently it was so thin that it is see through. I guess the perks of it being so thin is that it makes it breathable but I don't think it will do well when you're on the slopes in the cold. You're better off getting a bandanna for 99 cents from your local store.
"Awesome art design!" 5/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Sierra Headphones TShirt Men's
  • Pros:  Awesome artwork, Front and back decal, Not too baggy
  • Cons:  Back decal seems out of place , Choice in color, Fabric not that great
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Not too baggy width wise

Experience:   Ordered this shirt because of free t-shirt coupon from Sierra and in my opinion it's the best shirt out of the rest. I really like the artwork on the shirt. The shirt isn't too short and isn't too baggy at the sides which is great. It would be nice if the shirt was made out of a better material.
"More than just a leash!" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Guardian Leash / Lock
  • Pros:  Secure, Multifunctional, Safe
  • Cons:  No compass, Very heavy,

Experience:   You won't have to worry about anyone stealing your board again unless they bring a wire cutter but still even more a peace of mind. Lock it up and enjoy your meal! The instructions are in a foreign language however and the picture show's a compass feature but it doesn't really come with one.
"Safe and Secure!" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Pro-tec Ips Rail Guard
  • Pros:  Very padded , Very snug, Removable plastic guard
  • Cons:  Not adjustable,

Experience:   It is really padded at the knees and shin so you won't worry about injuring your knee and legs no more! You have the option of going with just the pads or using the plastic hard covers so that's awesome. No more bruised knees!
"It's nice and toasty" 3/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Grabber Handwarmer
  • Pros:  It's small, It stays warm, It heats up fast

Experience:   I never go up without these for my parents because it's hard to keep their fingers and toes warm but with these they can lounge around without having to worry about keeping warm. They're small and convenient.
"It does the job" 3/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Mountain Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  It works, It's small, It sticks
  • Cons:  It's pretty ugly,

Experience:   If you want a stomp pad that will stick and does the job then this stomp pad is for you. You have enough grip to hold your boot in place even with snow build up. My other stomp pad was useless with snow build up and didn't provide much grip and even fell off sometime later in the day.
