"super functional and cute" 4/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Overhead Travel Bag Women's
  • Pros:  perfect size, very good quality, great design

Experience:   Just returned from a week-long international trip with this suitcase as my only piece of luggage. I was able to fit all my belongings as well as a bunch of gifts/souvenirs in this bag without even expanding the top compartment. It is the perfect size for air travel as it fits nicely in the overhead compartment so I never had to check my bag. The suitcase is very well-constructed with sturdy materials and a great design - I particularly love the very smooth heavy-duty zippers and the nice wheels on this bag. Not only was this bag very functional and exactly what I needed for travel, it also looks great too - I got it in a very nice plaid pattern, and didn't see anything else that looked similar at all while running around in 3 different airports. I really love this suitcase, and am confident that anyone looking for a nice carry-on would too.
"nice jacket" 4/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton AK Static 3L GoreTex Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  waterproof, windproof, lightweight
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right

Experience:   So far, I've mainly used this jacket in spring/warmer conditions, and really love it. It is waterproof, and has kept me totally dry in slush and light rain. I usually prefer an insulated jacket for colder days, but wore this on what turned out to be an overcast, chilly, and very windy spring day by accident, and actually stayed decently warm on the lift since the jacket really blocked out the wind. I also like the fact that it's light and easy to pack for a trip. Mine did come with a small manufacturing defect so the zipper tends to catch the fabric at a specific place easily and gets stuck sometimes, but it isn't a big problem as long as I'm careful. I probably wouldn't pay full-price for this jacket, but on sale, it's definitely a great buy.
"great binding" 4/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow Essence Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  quick/easy entry/release, responsive, solid construction
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I've been riding Flow bindings for over a decade now, and really love the convenience of the design. It does take a little time to set them up properly for the first time, but once they are adjusted and broken-in after a day or so of riding, the ease of entry and release can't be beat. I also love being able to get my back foot strapped in without having to sit down, and having the strap pre-set at a consistent tightness run after run. Not only are these bindings super quick and easy to use, they are also quite light and very responsive as well. If you're in the market for some new bindings and have never ridden Flows before, I'd definitely recommend giving these a try. Oh, and Flow also makes ICS disks for these bindings now, so these can be mounted on a Burton board with the channel.
"fall in love with this board" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Supermodel Womens
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  fast, carves well, great edge hold

Experience:   This is an absolutely awesome board. After tinkering with the setup and getting a feel for the board for a couple of runs, I totally fell in love with it. It is a super sweet and stable ride in all types of conditions - even ice! The board just naturally seems to want to carve and hold an edge, and pretty much immediately made me a more confident and better rider. This board is really fast too, straight from the factory - my friends couldn't keep up with me on this board. Not only is this board a great all-mountain performer, it's good-looking too - I am definitely smitten.
"nice design" 10/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Sierra Headphones TShirt Men's
  • Pros:  price, nice graphics, decent quality
  • Description:  slightly on the small side

Experience:   Just got this shirt recently, and am pretty happy with it. The design is nice, and I really like the little details with the logo on the sleeve and shoulder blade. The material isn't the softest, but it is of decent quality. I found the fit to be just a bit on the small side, but it still fits fine, and the yellow color is quite bright and happy. Overall, can't really complain about a free shirt; so, thanks Sierra :).
"nice shoes at a great price" 10/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Lowdown "The Hudreds" Blackbox
  • Pros:  comfortable, simple, nice design

Experience:   Just purchased these not too long ago and they've already become one of my favorite everyday go-to shoes. The fit is very comfortable, they look nice, and go with just about everything. They're clean looking and the design is very subtle; everyone that sees them likes them as well. If you need a new or just an extra pair of simple, comfortable, and versatile shoes, you can't go wrong with these at the sale price.

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Lines
  • Pros:  price can't be beat, nice print, holds up well
  • Fit:  Just right

Experience:   I've had this shirt for a while now, and have worn and laundered it quite often. The shirt isn't made of the softest material, but it has held up really well through repeated washings, and the print and fabric still look perfect.
"love this shirt" 7/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Arbor Westmark
  • Pros:  great material, super soft and comfortable, nice design
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S

Experience:   After picking this shirt up for a friend a while back and seeing how great it is, I just couldn't resist getting one for myself about a month ago. I love how wonderfully soft the bamboo fabric is, and the design/construction of this shirt is great. The shirt has held up well after a couple of washes, and people tell me all the time how much they like the shirt as well.
"one of my new favorites" 5/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Arbor Crescent TShirt
  • Pros:  comfortable, nice material, great design
  • Fit:  Just right

Experience:   Received this shirt as a gift - I really like it a lot. The print is really nice, and the material is very soft and fairly thin. I found the cut to be flattering, but it was not exactly a perfect fit for me since I have very wide shoulders (which quite often creates a sizing dilemma when it comes to women's t-shirts).
"like it" 4/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Fousquare Visor Womens
  • Pros:  warm, comfortable, looks nice
  • Fit:  Just right

Experience:   I like this hat just fine. Usually just wear it after snowboarding - good for keeping my head warm and also covering up helmet head. The visor's cute and a nice touch, and the material is soft and not scratchy.
"nice and warm" 4/27/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Union Womens
  • Pros:  warm, waterproof, great fit
  • Pant Fit:  Just right

Experience:   I think these pants are great and really love them. The fit is very comfortable, with plenty of room to move. These are insulated, so they keep me very warm even on the coldest days with just a light or mid-weight thermal layer underneath. Though these pants are insulated, the fit is still nice and flattering, and the pants don't look bulky. The fabric is nice and waterproof, and also very durable as well - mine still look pretty much new after about 20 days of riding. These pants come with all the standard features, but my favorite must be the leg lifts that keep the pants from dragging and getting ripped up in the parking lot.
"very nice goggles" 4/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Smith Phenom
  • Pros:  comfortable fit, good in all conditions, no fogging

Experience:   Got these to replace an old pair of goggles that I've had for a really long time, and I absolutely love them. They fit perfectly with my helmet, and are very comfortable to wear. The goggles work great in all different light/weather conditions, and I haven't had any issues with fogging. These goggles are well-constructed and should last a long time.
"nice and warm" 4/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine L/W Nebula First Layer Pants Women's
  • Pros:  warm, wicking, nice material
  • Fit:  Just right

Experience:   I really like these thermal pants. Besides doing a good job of keeping my legs warm and comfortable, they also fit quite well with a nice length that doesn't cause any bunching in the socks/boots. The material is nice and soft, and has also held up very well with repeated washings.
"loose padding" 4/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Red Impact Short Youth
  • Pros:  stealth design, removable padding, comfortable
  • Cons:  pads are loose, pads move around, pad placement seems a bit off

Experience:   Overall, I found these shorts to be so-so at best. The design and general idea is pretty good, I think, as I like that they just kind of look like board shorts, but the main problem I found is that the pads really don't stay in place that well. Due to the design, the pads are fairly loose and move around in the shorts, so I never really felt that confident of proper protection in case of a bad fall with these. I think regular impact shorts would be a better bet for fitted pads that stay in place.
"nice boots" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow Lotus Snowboard Boots Women's
  • Pros:  comfortable, nice fit, good heel hold
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I tried on these boots and really liked them. They were really comfortable, felt supportive, but not too stiff or clunky. I also got really good heel hold in these, which has always been the main problem for me when purchasing boots. I would have gotten these boots if I didn't go with the BOAs instead.
"huge" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Special Blend Lg Filled Icon 12 Pk
  • Pros:  great price, nice design, sticky

Experience:   I like the look of this sticker - at this price, definitely no complaints.
"love these" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Gore Mittens
  • Pros:  really warm, removable liner, waterproof

Experience:   I love these mittens - they work exactly as they should and have everything I'd want in a mitten. They keep my hands really warm even on the coldest days, and I just take out the liner for those warm spring days. Now that they're heavily discounted, I may just pick up an extra pair.
"nice style" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Anon Truth Womens
  • Pros:  look nice, good fit, work well

Experience:   Got these for a friend - they look really nice and fit her face well. She tends to be pretty hard on her stuff and hasn't broken these yet, so definitely worth it at the discounted price.
"nice socks" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Euro Silver Board Supreme
  • Pros:  warm, comfortable, wicking
  • Fit:  Just right

Experience:   These are nice snowboarding socks and definitely worth the investment. They've kept my feet warm and dry through long days of riding, and have held up well so far to repeated washings.
"good helmet" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Giro G10 Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  comfortable, warm, good protection

Experience:   After falling on my head a number of times and having to take a friend to the ER for a concussion many years ago, I decided a helmet was a must when snowboarding. This helmet is very comfortable, pretty light compared to my old one, and definitely makes me feel more secure when riding and trying out new tricks.
"cool stickers" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Forum First Chair 24Pk
  • Pros:  great price, fun saying, many in a pack

Experience:   These are fun to stick on your stuff and also give away to friends. The price can't be beat and you get a lot of them in a package, which is great because people really seem to love these.
"not for me" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  comfortable, fairly inexpensive,
  • Cons:  heel lift,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Though I found these boots quite comfortable when trying them on, I got significant heel lift with them no matter how much I tightened the laces. I do have narrow heels, however, so that could be the main issue - if you also have narrow heels, you might be better off with a different boot.
"works fine" 4/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Cool Tool
  • Pros:  compact, ratchets, inexpensive

Experience:   Nice little tool that's very handy and works like it should. I find the handle/grip on this thing slightly awkward, but it works fine. I usually just keep it in my bag when I go riding since I very rarely need to adjust my bindings when on the mountain.
"pretty nice backpack" 4/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Mission Womens
  • Pros:  lots of pockets, cool prints, functional

Experience:   Purchased a couple of these in different prints from Sierra at a great price. The backpacks are really cute and I love the various pockets to keep things separate and in their place. The laptop sleeve isn't anything special and the shoulder straps are a little under-padded to me, but they work just fine. Overall, a pretty nice backpack that looks good, is very functional, and seems well-constructed.
"nice toasty pants" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Special Blend Commander
  • Pros:  very warm, waterproof, functional pockets
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S

Experience:   These pants are great for colder days on the mountain - they are very waterproof and windproof, and the insulation is very warm but not bulky. The pants seem to run true to size, and fit very well in the waist, though they are quite large/baggy in the rear. Overall, this is a quality functional pant with plenty of pockets.

  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M

Experience:   This is a really cool hoodie with tons of neat features that make plane rides and long road trips more enjoyable. The sweatshirt is well-constructed with a comfortable mid-weight material that should last a long time.
