"knock my socks off" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2009 Giro Score PK Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  nice vision, snug fit, cheap
  • Cons:  lenses scratch easily,

Experience:   own couple pairs of the score, and root. rock the score more because of the fit. really nice goggles, barely fog even when i sweat in spring. can't beat the price if you want to stand out the B, S crowds on the slope.

Comments & Questions

JimN333
Are these goggles compatible with helmets?

Rylab
Jim, yes they line up perfectly with the line of both my Giro helmet and a RED helmet I used once, and worked well with both of them, no gaps and the strap is a good length for using over a helmet.

  • Name: 2009 Giro Roots Goggles
  • Pros:  cheap, great for all conditions,

Experience:   I use both gold boost and amber scarlet lenses which great for all condition. fit great around my nose which a plus. But the vision is a bit limited even though it's a medium goggles.
"good customer services but the phones just so so" 1/19/2014
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010
  • Pros:  stay on your ear during workout, great customer service
  • Cons:  some what fragile, you get what you paid for sound wise,

Experience:   this is actually the third pair of chop i own during 6years. the first two broke after year of hard use(work out hard, sweat got in the drivers, cable got step on, etc). skullcandy replaced both time without any questions. the sound quality actually not that bad for the price, but don't expect any spectacular sounds out of these phones(or any phones around the same price point). the great thing about these phones are they stay in place during hard section of work out, even running with it. the ear loop are surprisingly soft and comfy so i didn't feel it on while using it. overall, these phones are good for the price and the lifetime warranty just unbeatable. grab them if you find them for cheap.

  • Name: 2012 Airblaster Airgoggles Airpill Logo Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  soft frame and form to your face well, lenses are the most durable out there, great vision
  • Cons:  it use the hook instead of a full loop,

Experience:   it is by far the most comfortable goggles i have used. the frame so soft that it form to your face and you forget it is there. really great vision even at night with the same lense (amber baker). the lenses are so durable it can take a lot more beating than any other lenses out there (baker lense have the tint in between which make it impossible to get scratch off). the only thing i don't like will be the hook they use (i have had broken two of them due to putting it on with gloves, and pulled it too hard). i preferred the full loop style like the spy soldier offered. overall, it's a good goggles you won't regret getting.
"not as good as other said" 11/9/2011

  • Name: 2011 Oakley Crowbar Goggles
  • Pros:  good vision field,
  • Cons:  foam pinch my nose, pressure point from both sides of the straps area, hard frame make it uncomfortable

Experience:   despite all the good words about it. it just doesn't fit me at all. I have smith I/O, airgoggles, von zipper feenom and so on. this one is by far the most uncomfortable goggles i ever used. the frame is hard, so it doesn't form to my face well. the extended straps point actually squeezed my head on both sides due to the hard frame. the foam on the nose bridge area pinched my nose the whole time i had it on, no good. the goggles are solid built, but it just doesn't fit me at all. same goes to the splice.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Cobra
  • Pros:  gore-tex insert, warranty is great,
  • Cons:  stitches come out kinda easy, not as warm as i expected,

Experience:   i use it for all season riding, it hold up ok but my fingers get cold after touch the snow for a bit. not sure is my gloves defected or what, but it seems like water can soak through the outer layer and make my hands cold even in spring condition. the wrist velco strap stitches came off after couple days of riding, easy fix but kinda disappointed.
"Great goggles but w/major flaw" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2009 Giro Manifest Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  easy to change lenses,
  • Cons:  hard to find replacement lenses,

Experience:   nice goggles as long as you don't swap lenses. if you do, beware that you grab an extra pair of the lenses eyebow piece or you have to swap out the lenses and put the piece on the other. which beat the out and in concept. beside, it's a solid goggles.

  • Name: 2010 Capita Sierrascope FK
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  lightweight, stable at speed, fast ride w/proper wax
  • Cons:  topsheet scratch easily like always, not enough size to choose from,

Experience:   I like this a lot due to the fact that i like to dick around and chillaxin while i ride. it still perform nicely when i charge and do some trees runs. The board is really durable after it got ran over by my car at parking lot (stupid mistake but it happened, no cracks or deliminate what so ever). I wish i can grab a second one, but there always a next year model. Can't wait for the news on next year board.
"nice bindings but w/minor flaw" 3/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Sierra Contact SL
  • Pros:  light, adjustability, thick padding for the cushion
  • Cons:  screws come loose on straps , hard to release the rachets sometimes,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   really nice bindings and fit my riding because i more of a chillaxin rider. really match w/152 SScope and perform really well. The screw come loose easy because it will move w/the straps. fixed it w/some water pipe thread tape and now it perfect. can't wait to see what Sierra colab. with union be next year.
