"Way Baggier In Person Than The Picture" 11/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Airblaster Javier Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Simple Color Scheme...Mono-color, Adjustable waist, tear-away look is pretty sweet
  • Cons:  Much baggier in person than the picture, Pretty expensive for just a shell,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  A baggy fit, but not extremely baggy.

Experience:   The pants are 10000 mm waterproofing, and have two long outside vents on the legs which are both good points of the pants. Unfortunately they are just a shell, (and a pretty thin one at that), and I would not recommended them if you are boarding in very cold conditions. They have a loose fit which is nice if you are a more casual rider that likes more freedom. They do NOT fit anything like the picture shows, they are much baggier. So, if you are looking for a slimmer fitting pant, do not purchase these. The pants only have a total of four pockets (two in front and two in back) which is a turn off for people that love pockets. They have internal boot gaiters with hooks which is a plus. Lastly, they are made in China, in case that sways anyone one way or the other. Overall, the pants seem to be well made for a shell, but for the price ($170) you can find equal if not better pants for far less.

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Replacement Snowboard Files
  • Pros:  Great price, small size,

Experience:   These replacements are perfect sized, and work great with what they are intended. They start to get sort of dull after 10-15 tune-ups, but for the price they can't be beat.
"Walk on snow with these super-socks." 4/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Fox River Mills Low Volume Anatomical Fit Light Weight
  • Pros:  Tight Fit, Extremely warm, Nice padding
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Perfect fit, especially around the arches.

Experience:   These socks are definitely the best ski socks I have ever owned. They are very good fitting, with extra tightness around the arches of your feet (but no so tight that it cuts off circulation). They breathe very well, and don't make your feet sweat profusely like many other socks do. I'm pretty sure I can walk on snow with these socks and not get wet (obviously not for very long, but still their warmth and waterproof-ness is quite impressive). Overall, I would recommend these socks to anyone who is looking for a cheap, extremely well performing sock.
"Sick and Fast!" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow The Five
  • Pros:  Extremely fast to strap in, No more wet butt syndrome, Looks are great
  • Cons:  slightly difficult to get perfect setup, ratchets a little tough to work with,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought these bindings in winter of 2008, and was a little skeptical of whether or not they would hold up on the mountain. Well, they outperformed my expectations greatly! Aside from being very customizable (an adjustable just about everything), they made getting off the lift and back down the hill as fast, and as fun as possible. Once you make it down a few runs, tweaking your set-up here and there (as your boots settle into your bindings a little more), and you get that perfect set-up, strapping in goes even faster. I can easily strap up in under 10 seconds. Everyone I go boarding with is so amazed at how fast I can strap up, and by the performance of The Fives, that by the next winter they own a pair! You will never have to sit down in the wet snow again. (I even strap in while sliding off the lift which makes it even faster) Now,the ratchets on the binding are not the easiest to tighten all the way down. They seem VERY tight when trying to get the ratchet down on its last snap. Also, loosening up the binding is rather difficult, with gloves on, it's nearly impossible. Overall, this binding is well worth the money. It performs well with park riding, cruising, smaller jumps (haven't hit any large ones with them), basically all of the mountain. Don't wait to get a pair, you will not regret it!
"Gravis Denim are decent high tops" 10/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Lowdown Hi Cut Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Stlye, Lightweight, Good ventilation
  • Cons:  Not the best quality, faded look on the denim is not too appealing,

Experience:   I purchased a pair of Denim 9.5 and I pretty happy with my purchase. The design is pretty close to the image advertizing the shoes, but if you order denim, be prepared for the used look to be a bit off. Mine have a not so appealing look to them on the toe portion because it is done by hand and every pair is different. These shoes are averagely comfortable, and have little to no padding in the bottom of the shoe. I walked around all day in these and my feet were hurting from the lack of padding. I would not recommend buying these for everyday walking around shoes. If you choose to lace them all the way up, they are pretty soft around the ankles (even with no-show socks on), and if you choose to leave them unlaced, they still stay on your feet really well for not actually lacing them. I have worn these shoes about 30-50 times so far and all there is some pretty bad damage on them just from walking around. (I do not skate in these shoes). The back logo that says Gravis is totally peeled off on both shoes, the rubber tip of my right shoe is shredding up and coming apart from the denim portion, and the rubber bottom wears down pretty quick, so be prepared for little to no traction. The shoes keep your feet very warm but no too warm which makes them decent all year round shoes. They fit exactly as advertized. I wear 9.5 - 10.5 shoes depending on the shoe, and I purchased the 9.5 pair of Denim and they fit beautifully. Overall, decent pair of shoes and I would possibly recommend.
"Great Fitting, Great Looking" 4/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Spy Omega
  • Pros:  Easy to see through at night, Great fitting, Awesome design

Experience:   These are a great all day, into the night pair of goggles. With little to no vision reduction riding at night, it definitely is a solid choice. They fit great to my head shape (I have a rather skinny head, and not many glasses fit my shape well, but these are perfect). They are pretty flexible, so I am sure they will fit wider heads just fine. They have a great field of vision with only the nose piece really visible while riding. I purchased the purple striped pair last season, and they are extremely good looking in person. The strap has grip on it (but no so much that it rips your hair out), so you don't have to worry about these sliding around when you hitting jumps or rails. They breathe great as well. Would highly recommend these goggles to everyone I know.
"Good for what got them for" 4/15/2010

  • Name: 2009 Giro Score PK Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  light tinting, style,
  • Cons:  small,

Experience:   Just bought these on sale for a back up pair/night goggles. The lens are a lot less blue than they are on the site but they do a good job of reducing glare without limiting vision and are great for a night ride. I was surprised by how small and narrow the goggles are. They feel too curved to ft my face properly, and ive never had that sort of problem before. On the bright side i do feel them opening up already as the have been broken in a bit. With the goggles on i can see the all sides of the frame which i dont mind too much since these are my back up pair, but i wouldnt like these as my main goggles.
