- Description: Loose, Somewhat Big, Baggy
This is a solid jacket. I've used it about 7 or 8 times now, and last weekend the temps were around 0. I had this jacket (80g thinsulate insulation) plus a warm thick liner, and some Under Armour cold gear and I was not cold the entire day. It also is breathable enough to move around very well, and not get too hot.
I usually wear a size large in 99% of the hoodies and jackets I get, I am about 5'9, 160 lbs or so. This jacket fits pretty big as a large, but I think it fits just right for riding. It fits very similar to my old Burton jacket that was a size large from about 4 years ago, except the sleeves on the Oakley are a tad bit longer.
This jacket would be great for everyday riding in most conditions, its 15k waterproof so you know you wont get wet, except I would not recommend it for super cold temps like -20 and colder. If so, you will have to bundle really thick. And the zippers don't work so well on the hand pockets, but its nothing too annoying, as it does have a goggle pocket on the inside. It does have some cool magnets that flap over the zippers and cover your face when on the lift, however they say it can damage your bank cards if you store your wallet/atm cards in the front zipper area when riding. It also has an Oakley goggle strap attached across the inside of the jacket from the top shoulder across and down to the opposite hip/pit, so if you are hiking or carrying your gear, you can strap your jacket around so its very easy to use your hands for other stuff. Pretty cool idea really.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this jacket or any other Oakley jacket for that matter to someone who is interested in some new outergear.
