"Fantastic travel bag(not a carry on)" 8/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Girls Split Roller Small
  • Pros:  excellent compartments, good construction, looks different from everyone else's
  • Cons:  not a carry on,

Experience:   Ok, I got this a few months ago but me and the gf just went on a 5 day holiday carrying only this bag. This thing is BIG. This will not qualify as a carry on in 90% of cases. If it qualifies, good for you and consider yourself lucky but I would go to the airport expecting them to refuse it as carry on. Now the goodies: 1) The bottom half is one big compartment. This is where you will put your usual stuff. Clothes, pants, etc. The mesh flap covering this half is closed with a zipper. And in the mesh is 2 pockets with zipper openings. This is perfect for amenities, documents, socks, boxers, etc. Small flat things. 2) The top half has 3 compartments(all zipper openings) One bigger one in the middle and 2 smaller ones to the sides. The big one was nice for putting our extra shoes in. We fit 2 pairs + a bunch of miscellaneous things including some sandals. The side pockets were useful as my gf used them to put her lady undergarments. 3)The outside has 2 pockets...not bad and you could lock them too with those airport approved locks if you wish. Once again, I'll state that this bag is big. 2 people's worth of clothes for 5 days and it wasn't even full. Could've put a lot more in there... but might have been a little heavy if I had. Oh and there handles on all sides so no worries there. I dragged it up and down tons of stairs and they held up fine. Nice bag! I can't imagine how big the regular size split roller would've been!
"Somewhat disappointing" 7/19/2010

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Lowdown Hi Cut Leather
  • Pros:  Looks great, Okay fit,
  • Cons:  Material is thin and cheap,

Experience:   Ah the black sheep of my gravis purchases. Got 3 shoes and these were the only ones I didn't like. The outside material(leather) is really thin and feels kinda cheap. The flaps look like they're already tearing a bit. While I had no problems with the soles of my other 2 pairs of gravis shoes, these ones felt a little thin to me. The fit is okay, 9.5 fits like a big 9.5. I've regulated these as my shoes I use to do chores in...groceries shopping, running to get some smokes, etc. Not for dates or nights out when I want something more comfy and better looking.

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Lokash
  • Pros:  Comfy, Soles are crazy,

Experience:   YES, the soles are just as big as you can see from the pictures. They're freaking awesome. Great grip and they're like an inch thick. Really comfy and they fit great. 9.5 fits a 9.5. They fit a little narrow though which is perfect for my feet. I got the brown ones and they go awesome with jeans and a collar shirt. Great shoes when you wanna be fancier than sneakers but not fancy enough for dress shoes.
"Great for the price" 7/19/2010

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Lowdown Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Material is very comfortable, Cheap,
  • Cons:  insoles are soso,

Experience:   I bought 3 pairs of gravis shoes from Sierra and while I was disappointed in one of them 2008 gravis lowdown hi-cut, I was very satisfied with these. They are great shoes for the price. I really liked the material and they didn't feel cheap. They felt the same as my 80 dollar Vans. I bought a 9.5 and it fits like a 9.5. Only thing is I bought the black which came with the black and white laces, they are way too long if you use them together. I took out the black laces and just used the white laces...and they were still a little long. Not a big deal.

  • Name: 2010 Gravis A-Bah
  • Pros:  cheap, decent construction,
  • Cons:  strap color does not match picture,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • Description:  size 9 fits like a size 9

Experience:   Normally I wouldn't write a review for a pair of sandals. But I figured I would give anyone purchasing a heads up that the black spicy orange model comes with a black strap and not a white strap. Very minor detail. Besides that, nice pair of sandals. It's not like the crappy cheapo ones you find in bins that's all foam and soft. Bottom does have the harder material.
"Great hoodie" 6/7/2010

  • Name: 2009 Analog Profile
  • Pros:  light, warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  just right

Experience:   Glad I got this jacket at this time. It's perfect for the weather now. It gets cool at night here in Japan and this hoodie is light enough that it's not too hot. Compared to the Analog citizen which is more mw/hw, this is lw/mw. Sizewise, it's a good fit. I'm 5'8 and 130 lb and this is a comfortable regular hit. Not tight at all and not too loose. sleeves down to my knuckles if drawn straight down. It looks great and the color is the same as the one in the pic (red venom). Under the zipper is a sewn in black strip with some yellow text. Looks good when wearing the hoodie unzipped.

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Cross Studs
  • Pros:  cheap, make your own pattern,
  • Cons:  umm, where did they go?,

Experience:   Got em last year. Ok, right off, I'll admit I didn't follow the instructions. It says to rub with rubbing alcohol but I had none at home and I figured it wasn't too important. Just wiped it with a wet towel, dried the surface with a dryer, heated it and the studs up, placed them, and left a big book on them for an hour. Then I left the board for 24 hours. Yea, they didn't last too long... Worked okay for the time they did last though. Looked cool too. Get what you pay for. Would the rubbing alcohol cleaning have made a huge difference? I don't know. If you buy these, I suggest following the instructions EXACTLY for a chance of them sticking.
"Great thermal" 5/13/2010

  • Name: 2009 Burton Midweight VNeck Thermal
  • Pros:  looks good, breathable ,
  • Cons:  wrist area was a little tight,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XS
  • Fits Like:  XS
  • Description:  just right

Experience:   Got these about a week ago and my gf has worn it twice for exercising. First off, it looks great. You can wear it out by itself as streetwear no problems. My gf wore these to some aerobics exercises and she said it was quite comfy and light. Didn't get heavy. Breathed well. Only complaint was the wrist/forearms area was a little tight. I suppose this is a good thing when snowboarding to keep any snow out. But please note she is 5'1 93 pounds so if it's tight for her. It's gonna be pretty tight for regular XS sized people.
"Good for the price" 5/8/2010

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Mega Blaster Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  cheap, has all the heads u need,
  • Cons:  cheap material,

Experience:   I just got mine a few days ago. The best question to ask is if this is worth the 7.50. Don't compare it to the more expensive stuff. And I say, yes its worth the 7.50. Is it cheaply constructed and does it look like a toy? Yes...but who cares? It works and that's all that matters. You're gonna be throwing this in the bag in your car or the board locker and it's the perfect size for that. The slide lock on the bottom compartment is nice. The upper compartment is a little annoying and it might pop out while you're twisting. But hardly a dealbreaker. Watch out and don't twist by holding the very tipsy bottom of the handle and I don't foresee problems with it breaking.
"Your heel will lift...lift...LIFT" 4/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Moto
  • Pros:  cheap, quick to lace, black/multi looks good
  • Cons:  lacing is not tight, heel lift a big problem,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   I rode with these for a few months because they were all I could afford after my previous boots died. Cons : The lacing is not tight at all and as soon as you do anything more than linking turns, they're gonna come loose. Do not use these at the park or you're gonna get hurt. Your feet are gonna move all over the place. Also, even when the lacing is tight, I experienced a lot of heel lift. This may be due to the shape/size of my feet... but it sure tired me out fast. These are PURELY beginner boots. If you are a beginner and dont plan on boarding more than 10 days a season, these boots will be fine. Check em after every run to make sure they're tight. You don't want to get hurt cus of loose boots. For anyone that plans on progressing beyond a beginner, I will suggest you pay a little extra and go for better boots. Rulers aren't THAT much more but they're way better than motos in my opinion. I'm planning on getting ozones for next season.
