"The Fargos" 6/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Vans Fargo
  • Pros:  Easy to get in/out, Fast lace up (Boa), Recco
  • Cons:  Boa lines can and will break, ruining your day,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   These boots are great all around. They feel great bombing diamonds as well as in the park. The Recco reflectors give you some peace of mind. The only issue with these is the Boa system. I had them break as I was tightening them up on the mountain. Made for an interesting ride down. The Boa lacing eyelets are fairly small, so trying to fix it on a cold mountain is near impossible. Make sure you carry an extra cord on you at all times since you never know when they are going to fail.
"Your Boots Need These" 6/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2005 Down Unders Blue Foot Beds
  • Pros:  Tons of support, Cheap boot upgrade,
  • Cons:  Top grips a lot, hard to slip into boots ,

Experience:   I was thinking of getting some superfeet when I found these. These are so much better than superfeet, plus they are comfortable out of the box. The heal cushioning is also exactly what I needed, not as rigid as other inserts. The arch support is aggressive.

"Half Pipe Domination" 6/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Gnu Danny Kass
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Halfpipe,Jumps
  • Pros:  Light, Poppy, Forgiving
  • Cons:  Can be a bit soft,

Experience:   I bought this board for the pipe and it helped my advance from barely throwing 3's to landing clean 7's. The tip and tail do not metal edges so you don't have to worry about snagging the lip on takeoff or landing. There are carbon strips that run the full length of the board to keep it nice and poppy for awhile. The board has a bit too much flex to bomb down some diamonds.
"Rail Killer" 6/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Atomic Axium
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Rails
  • Pros:  Beefed up for rails, Fairly light,
  • Cons:  Do not attempt to ride in powder,

Experience:   For being a rail/park/street board it doesn't get much better. This board holds rails like a skateboard. I will give you tons more confidence hitting rails. It also has a nice bevel which is fairly forgiving. On a powder day stay away from riding this, unless you want to dig yourself out.
"Braaaaaains" 6/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Atomic Zombie
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Forgiving ,
  • Cons:  Toe strap is cheap,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I bought these to replace a pair of Drakes that I stripped the base plate while in the pipe. An Atomic rep happened to be at the mountain that day and said I should try them in the pipe. The lower highback helped me stay on my feat after a sketchy 7. I ended up replacing the toe strap with some Burton caps.
"Hit the Road" 6/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Ez Traveler 120 Travel Bag Men's
  • Pros:  Tons of space, Vents ,
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   When the price dropped to $35, I couldn't resist. This is 100X better than my Target $50 special suitcase I have, plus its Dakine. I can fit all my gear for boarding plus clothes for a week no problem. Even for $50 it is an awesome deal, but if it ever drops to $35 again don't miss out.
"Element" 6/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Arbor ALT
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Strong, Poppy, Graphic
  • Cons:  A bit heavy,

Experience:   A have had this board for 3 years now and it has held up to crappy conditions. This was my double black powder day board, but I could still take it into the park at the end of the day and throw some 3s off of the tables and own some rails. Overall you can't go wrong with this board.
"Nitro Team" 6/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Nitro The Team Boot
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Supportive, Low profile
  • Cons:  Material scratches easy , Lacing is confusing at first,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   Bought these boots to replace a 4 year old pair of Vans Fargos. They fit way better than my Vans ever did and the dual zone lacing lets me tighten the way I want. Serves great as an all mountain and park boot.
"Sick Bindings" 6/1/2010
