"Great inexpensive goggle!" 2/15/2014
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Ryders Fakie Goggles
  • Pros:  Inexpensive, Comfortable foam,
  • Cons:  Field of view somewhat small,

Experience:   Picked up these goggles as an inexpensive set for night riding as I don't like to change out lenses on other goggles. These have worked just as I hoped. Clear lens is nice and anti fog holds up quite well. Once instance of freezing over but that was in well below subzero temps and I had to put bandana under face foam. Fits helmet quite snugly. Highly recommend for low budget or quick replacement goggles!!
"Red Commander Helmet" 1/10/2013
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 Red Commander Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Much Better Shape, Great temperature control, Extremely light weight
  • Cons:  Cannot close vents if needed.,

Experience:   Just used this helmet for 6 straight days of riding. This helmet was excellent and kept me warm without any under layers. On a surprisingly warm day I also did not overheat due to the great ventilation on top although you cannot close the vents. This helmet has a much better shape to it and does not make your head look gigantic. This was the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn.
"Long Lasting Gloves" 4/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Profile Gloves 3D Print
  • Pros:  Durable, Good for spring conditions ,
  • Cons:  Needs a liner,

Experience:   I've put these gloves through the ringer and they still haven't given up yet. Unfortunately they don't come with a liner so I used some from a different pair of gloves to make up for it. After all the abuse I've put them through the only noticable damage so far is a few slices on the palm from the edge of my board while carrying it and the middle finger split open showing the insulation but I like the touch things as I ride steeps or through the glades. No trouble with waterproofing. I'd recommend these gloves for spring and above 0 temps. Anything below that and these don't cut the wind and cold enough.
"Typical Grenade Outerwear" 2/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Grenade Unbreakable
  • Pros:  Eye catching design,
  • Cons:  Low Waterproofing, Not warm, Material
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Baggy

Experience:   This pair of pants is no different than most other Grenade gear. Looks great but not as functional as I'd like. Despite multiple applications of waterproofing, still seems to fail in the seat region. The material is porous to the touch so it holds onto water and dirt instead of beading off. These look great on the mountain and would be ok for spring conditions but I would definately not recommend these for use in the teens or below temperatures.
"Typical Grenade Outerwear" 2/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Grenade Unbreakable
  • Pros:  Awesome Design,
  • Cons:  Low waterproofing, Lightweight,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Bulky

Experience:   So I fell for the Grenade trap. Loved the design and purchased before I knew much about clothing tech. This jacket works well enough for Spring days but doesn't cut it on the bitter cold days. Waterproofing fails midway through the day even after a few coats of Nikwax. People do take notice of the design so that is a big plus if you are concerned about turning heads on the mountain.
"This board will take you to the next level!" 1/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Handles High Speeds Amazingly, Tons of pop on both ends,
  • Cons:  Not as soft as I had hoped,

Experience:   I've taken this board out about 10 times so far this season and have gone all over the East Coast in all types of terrain. It exceeded all my expectations. Blew me away how it feels at high speeds and in the trees. With it's twin-like direction and stiffer flex it isn't the best park board. Handles landings on the big airs nicely with my Cartel ESTs. Did some damage to it and it took to ptex'ing nicely. This board really helped me fine tune my riding and increase my skill level so far this season. Highly recommended!
"Awesome design" 7/1/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Venerator Fitted S/S TShirt
  • Pros:  Nice design, Slightly snug sleeves,
  • Cons:  Maybe a little long,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Fits nicely maybe a little long

Experience:   Have this shirt in Silver. Everyone asked to check out the design. Big hit. Love the fit will buy more just like this.
"All you need!" 2/10/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Cartel EST
  • Pros:  Right amount of flex, Adjustable gas pedals, Beds absorb hard landings
  • Cons:  Not a fan of this toestrap, a little pricey,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I have these on my 2010 Custom V-rocker. EST is by far the best insert system I've ever worked with. Adjustable gas pedals on these extend out far enough to keep the ride responsive with my big feet. Not quite a huge fan of the new toestrap. It pops off occasionally when landing a jump slightly harder than necesarry even though I ratchet it down as much as possible. This may have more do to with my boots than the strap. Great binding for the park or even all mountain. Perfect for thoes looking to progess their skills.
"Good goggles at this pricepoint" 11/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Scope Pro
  • Pros:  Nice price, Good peripheral view, Air vents work well
  • Cons:  Face foam seeming to flake off quickly,

Experience:   Pretty good set of goggles. I have the ignitor mirror lens, works well in most conditions. Antifog vents seem to work just fine. Face foam isn't very dense so it's coming apart around the edges (seemingly faster than normal wear/tear)
"Backpack is great but...." 11/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Dakine Heli Backpack
  • Pros:  Holds snowboards well, Room enough for a days worth of boarding, Fleece goggle pouch is perfect
  • Cons:  Above picture incorrect.,

Experience:   Overall I'm still very happy with this pack. Looks nice, feels great. Waterproof and lightweight. Only problem is that the picture on this website is not what the pack actually looks like. To get a better picture check out the company's website. Snowboard straps work really well compared to other bags I've used. Can't comment on the retractable ski straps. Water bladder from an old camelbak fit nicely in the insulated pouch, but shoving the tube through the shoulder strap was a bit of a pain.
"Works well enough" 6/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Air Logo Mat
  • Pros:  Clear, Sticks very well,
  • Cons:  Somewhat slippery, Snow packs in the open spaces,

Experience:   Not a bad stomp pad but not the best I've used. Sticks really well which can be a bad thing if you want to remove it. Snow and ice can pack into the spaces which makes it even more slippery.
"Love them!!" 6/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Hail
  • Pros:  Super comfortable, Velco liner, Footpring shrinkage
  • Cons:  Pressure on top of foot,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I love these things. By far the most comfortable boot I've worn. Velcro liner makes it a snap. Heel hold stays all day. Footprint shrinkage let me get into a medium binding.
