"Unlimited Volkl AC 20"
- Name: 2009 Volkl Unlimited AC 20 w/ 3 Motion 11.0 TC
- Pros: Turning, light weight, durable, Edge holding on icy slopes, Stability on higher speeds
I am an intermediate (5'9, 164 lbs). Mostly on groomers, trying myself on higher speeds, last season started to go a little more on some off-pist.
Before I got them I had a pair of old begginer-intermediate Rosignols Actys 200 which I bought second hand. The difference was really big. Firstly the skis felt much stiffer and it took me half a day to adjust my carving. It seems like 3Motion on integrated rails really works when I go faster I get more of a stability. Turning is really easy. Was out on the icy slope twice and was surprised on how much confidence you can have with AC 20's - they really edge well. I bought them with a room for progress - so this is the second season and I still have a learning curve to go through with these skis. So far I have no regret about this choice. Another this they seem to be quite durable (not as many scratches by the end of the season as I was getting on my Rosignols).
