"Saved my butt." 11/4/2014
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 Red Base Layer Short Protective Gear
  • Pros:  Comfy, low profile,
  • Cons:  gets a bit hot in warm spring riding,

Experience:   OK. So I am not afraid to say that I have used these and I am very grateful for it too. The first time I fell heavily on ice I lost my breath, but thanks to these I was able to get straight back up and keep on riding, and there was no bruising to nurse the following day. They fit well and no-one would be able to tell that you had them on, they are that discrete. It does get a bit hot in late Spring riding, but other than that I cannot fault them.

  • Name: 2013 Electric EG2 Goggles
  • Pros:  Big view, Soft on the face, No fog
  • Cons:  They sit low on you nose and can pinch it, Some issues with helmet fit,

Experience:   I recently wore these in up to 12 degree Celcius spring days and there was not a hint of fog. Very impressed. You already know about the wide lens and great view. Did find that getting the right helmet to fit with them was a bit of a trick though.
"Very Happy" 10/12/2013

  • Name: 2011 Rome S90 Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Lots of adjustabilty, Comfortable straps,
  • Cons:  Paint started to chip off them after only 4 days,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I have no problems with this binding. It holds my size 12 boots without any drag and did everything I asked of it, top to bottom, including the park. A solid all round binding.
"Solid Shirt" 3/25/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Logo Vertical TShirt
  • Pros:  Good Logo, Simple Design,
  • Cons:  Fabric becomes a bit rough after many washes,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Slightly on the athletic side

Experience:   This is an all day regular T-shirt. It will shrink only slightly with regular washes and the fabric will naturally fade and roughen a bit with regular use. I have had mine for over two years and it is still fine to wear.
"Lasts a Long time" 3/17/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Oakley Fives Squared Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Hinge is very robust, Good fit around the face,
  • Cons:  Polaroid film can damage over time,

Experience:   I have owned a pair of theses for almost 5 years now. The only reason I don't still wear them as my daily glasses, is that the Polaroid reflective coating is now patchy and gets in the way of vision. However, it did take 4 years to get to that point. Otherwise they have been pretty indestructible and the hinges are still in perfect working order. All in all a good reliable pair of glasses with a low profile look.
"Does the job nicely" 3/17/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Oakley Ten Sunglasses Men's
  • Pros:  Wider lense, Good eye protection, Minimal rim impact on vision
  • Cons:  Can be a bit tight for a larger head above the ear,

Experience:   I have owned these glasses for almost a year now. At first they were a little tight and I would get sore at the end of a day around the ears but now they have softened to my head and are pretty much comfortable all day. If you are familiar with the Fives, then these are quite a similar fit and you will be very happy. However, the bigger your head the more you will need to soften them up. The only other issue is that if you are not used to rubber on the arms above the ears then this takes a little getting used to. On the plus side though the rubber stops them slipping forward when lean over etc.

  • Name: 2012 DC Search BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Love the Boa,
  • Cons:  Wide outprint,
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   As with most DC shoes we have had the outprint on these is big but that's no problem for most women's setups. Otherwise this is a handy boot with a moderate amount of flex but still feels quite firm. My wife has used these for several seasons now.
"A Class" 2/20/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 Oakley A Frame Snows Goggles
  • Pros:  Good fit, Don't fog up, Easy fit for helmets
  • Cons:  Looks a bit small on larger head,

Experience:   I have used these goggles for 4 seasons now and continue to be happy with them. They are hard to scratch, hard to fog up, and keep a good fit all day long. The only reason I will change is because my head is rather large and I think a bigger frame will look better. That's it.
"This boot is just OK" 2/17/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 DC Park Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Very sturdy , Strong constuction,
  • Cons:  Wide outprint,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  13

Experience:   These boots are quite flat at the toes, which is great if your toes are all the same length, but not so good if you are a more naturally shaped. Otherwise, this boot is best suited to the park as the name suggests.
"Simple fleece jacket" 2/12/2013

  • Name: 2006 Sessions Silver Medalist Track Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Looks good,
  • Cons:  Can be a little short if you are tall,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  The is a slim fit large

Experience:   Nice simple fleece jacket Good logo that hold up to washing well Super soft fleece on the inside Keeps you warm in town with one layer Fits snug enough to go under other layers
"Good shirt" 2/6/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Planet Earth Crest TShirt
  • Pros:  Good in red,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  True to size. Not baggy

Experience:   This is a good simple T. The faded look on the crest is just right and there is no tag at the back to annoy you. It does lose a little of it's fit after a few runs in the washer.
"Great T-shirt" 2/6/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Nomis Badge TShirt
  • Pros:  Great design, Stretchy material, Good fit
  • Cons:  Black logo can get hot in warm weather,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Tailored but no slim

Experience:   This is an awesome T. Is has a slight elastic stretch to the fabirc so it doesn't shrink in the watch and feels really soft when wearing it. You will Love it.
"Love The Ion" 8/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Broader than a DC Boot, So Soft!, Very comfortable
  • Cons:  The Price, but it's worth every penny!,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  12

Experience:   The Ion is the most comfortable boot I have ever owned! This is a boot that is more comfortable when it is laced up compared to walking with the laces undone. It's soft on the inside and the padding is the best. Lacing system is failsafe so far and gives great control for fit. I would highly recomend them!!!
"Enjoy the Ride" 8/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Ride Buckwild Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,High Speeds
  • Pros:  Good Flex, Very stable,
  • Cons:  I'm not good enough for the board,

Experience:   I just rode this for a week in NZ. I had the 2012 model and it was a joy to behold! Absorbs the choppy stuff well and made me feel more in control. Didn't take it to the park but I'm told it shows off well there as well so a good all rounder if you only want one board for the lot
