"Smith Maze" 2/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  Light weight, Low profile, Comfortable fit
  • Cons:  Not a lot of vents,

Experience:   Great fitting helmet that is really lightweight. I had a RED helmet before and it was a little heavier. I like that it fits well with my Smith I/O goggles.
"Not quite right..." 5/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow Rift Coiler Two Zone
  • Pros:  Good design, Quality liner,
  • Cons:  Big footprint, Not true dual zone, Velcro strap hits boa ratchet
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  9.5
  • Boot Size:  9.5

Experience:   I bought these boots as a second pair of boots for days when I go back to back boarding, that way I could let one pair dry while I ride the other pair. This was not a good decision for me and I am now going to initiate a return on these boots. I don't like that they are so stiff. Also, the footprint of the boot is really big, while other manufacturers are building smaller boots. So I was not able to strap into my boards using the currents settings. I would always have to adjust my bindings toe straps and position to be able to ride with these boots. Another nitpicky thing is that when you tighten down the velcro strap, it hits the BOA ratchet. This doesn't really harm anything, but I just don't like it.
"Nice Gloves" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 686 Summit Insulated
  • Pros:  Cheap, Warm, Thin
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   Good set of backup gloves for 16 bucks. Warm enough to wear on the cold days and thin enough for warmer spring days. Get em while you can.
"Nice T-Shirt" 4/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Tradition S/S TShirt
  • Pros:  Nice picture on the front, Fits well,
  • Cons:  A little tight,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits a little tight because it's slim fit, but it just reminds me that I need to loose weight anyway.

Experience:   I knew that this was a slim fit shirt when I bought it but it feels a little small. It just reminds me that I need to start working out again. Other than that, good quality, nice picture, cheap. Own a nice t-shirt for cheap... Hurry up and buy!
"Decent Bandana" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Forum Destroyer Bandana
  • Pros:  Cheap,

Experience:   I got the black bandana and the graphics are pretty cool. Other than that, it's a bandana. At $0.99, why not?
"Not really orange" 4/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Bonfire Baker Snowboard Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Plenty of pockets,
  • Cons:  Not really orange,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  The fit was a little too big for my taste

Experience:   I purchased this jacket online and judging from the pictures I thought the jacket would be more orange. Turned out to be more on the red side. Also, the jacket fit a little too big for my taste so I had to return it. Other than that, it seemed like a decent jacket.
"Good to keep in the car" 4/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Mega Blaster Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Lots of different size bits, Lots of storage, Easy to use
  • Cons:  Hefty size, harder to take on the mountain,

Experience:   Great little tool to have with plenty of different size bits. A little too big to fit in your pocket to bring on the mountain, but you could definitely put it in a backpack. I have plenty of quality screwdrivers and tools at home, but I just bought this because it was cheap and looked cool.
"Sick Denims" 4/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Distortion Loose Fit Denim
  • Pros:  Denim, Rocco avalanche system,
  • Cons:  Not a lot of pockets, Waist doesn't adjust,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Great fit, nice and relaxed. Got the medium for a relaxed fit, large for a baggy fit.

Experience:   Sick denim boarding pants. A little cold but doesn't have a high warmth rating, but all you gotta do is put on a base layer and you'll be fine. Not a lot of pockets, but I don't really like to but stuff in my pant pockets because falling on your keys sucks.
"Tang Aston Plaid" 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Ignition Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Thumbholes and mittens in the sleeves, Rocco avalanche system, Removable vest
  • Cons:  Fits too baggy,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Fits a little big. Bought the large but returned it to get a medium.

Experience:   Great jacket for any condition. Has a removable vest that will keep you warm on the cold days and has vents in the arms to cool you down on the hot days. Rocco avalanche system is pretty cool, but I hope to never use it. Plenty of pockets for all your stuff and pretty sweet design. Highly recommended if you want to step out of the Burton box.

did the medium end up fitting better than the large?

"Lunar Crosshatch" 12/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Sessions Brawl Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Good quality materials,
  • Cons:  Too Slim,
  • Pant Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  A little too slim for me

Experience:   I bought these pants because I didn't want something too baggy. I read the reviews and they said it would be a good slim fit. Too bad they were a little too slim for me. Would have been great gear at a good price, but they didn't fit.
"Great Shirt, Great Price." 12/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Pla Entrar Fitted TShirt
  • Pros:  Good black shirt, Nice graphic,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Perfect fit

Experience:   Bought this shirt for less than 10 bucks. Can't go wrong with a new black shirt with a cool graphic.
"Great Boarding Pants!" 12/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Cappel Wallingford Vented Snowboard Pants
  • Pros:  Nice zippers., Great price., Lots of pockets.
  • Cons:  I broke one of the buttons with my snowboard.,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fit well around the waist, a little long in the legs, but I have short legs.

Experience:   I just bought these pants this year and rode 5 days in them. They fit well and keep me warm when it's cold. When it gets hot, there are leg zippers that let the air in. The pants look great with anything and I was surprised that they came in a nice little garment bag. I will probably buy more Cappel gear after this purchase.
"Awesome Bindings!" 5/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Sierra Contact SL
  • Pros:  Soft to Mid Flex, Simple Design, Easy Adjustments
  • Cons:  Limited Highback Rotation,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   After riding Burton bindings for the last 4 years, I thought that I wouldn't ever change but I'm glad I did. These bindings were at such a great price, that I couldn't resist buying them. What I like most about these bindings are that they feature a really simple design. I thought that they weren't going to have enough adjustments by looking at the pictures, but every adjustment that you need is there. The only complaint that I have is that the highback rotation adjustment is limited to only three holes. Other than that, the ankle strap is really comfortable, better than Burton bindings. The toe cap works great when adjusted right. And also there are no pinch points in the bindings. Great value in bindings.
"Get your Stunt on!" 5/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Stunt Wide Snowboard 153
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Flexy, Fun, Burton Built

Experience:   So glad I picked this board up while it was on sale. What a great deal from SS! This board has a nice amount of flex and will help me learn my butters easier than any other board that I own. Even though it is a reverse camber board, you don't need to worry about it washing out from under you. The board spins real well and is a lot of fun.
"Custom V Rocker" 5/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Good Pop, Fast Base, Easy Adjustments
  • Cons:  Top Sheet Scratches Easily,

Experience:   I bought the 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker based on other peoples reviews on this site. I was sketchy at first about it being reverse camber because I like to ride fast and bomb down the mountain. Through my previous experience with an RC board, I wouldn't be able to hold an edge. With this board though, I had no problems going as fast as I could handle. Also, there are a lot of adjustments you could make with the ICS channel and EST bindings. The only thing I didn't like about the board was that the top sheet scratches easily.
"Super Stiff Burton CO2s" 5/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton CO2
  • Pros:  Stiff, Lightweight, High highback
  • Cons:  Large bindings were too big for my new boots,
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   I bought these CO2s in 2007 and they were the best bindings I have tried. They fit my boot perfectly (Vans Fargo Boas) and were nice and stiff which supported my aggressive all mountain riding style. When bombing runs I was confident that the bindings wouldn't give out on me. The feel and response through the board was way better than my older Drake bindings. The only problem that I've had with them is that the Large turned out to be too big for my newer boots. But when I bought a new setup this year, I went with Medium CO2 ESTs. No regrets with this purchase.
"Who thought bamboo was this soft?" 4/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Arbor Bhutan L/S TShirt
  • Pros:  Soft bamboo material, Great quality,
  • Cons:  Expensive at MSRP,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits good, not too tight, not too loose

Experience:   I got this shirt free with my 200 point coupon and I have to say that I'm impressed. I thought it was just gonna be a regular longsleeve shirt, but the feel of the bamboo material is so soft and there are little details on the shirt, like the labels, that make it a lot nicer when you have it in your hands. I thought this was a good choice for my free T-shirt. Thanks SS!
"Analog Jacket" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Analog Auger
  • Pros:  Good quality materials, Goes good with jeans,
  • Cons:  Fits too big,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Fits big, would like a more fitted fit

Experience:   I got this jacket in a large and wish I would've got a medium. The jacket is too big for me as I like more of a fitted look. Other than that, good quality jacket at a good price from Sierrasnowboard.com.
"Burton Emblem" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Emblem
  • Pros:  Fits snugly around foot, Keeps you warm,
  • Cons:  Tight around the calf, Socks were different length at the calf,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits like described

Experience:   I got these socks as a second item and the defect that I found was that the calf length was different. The foot area was fine and I liked how it fit there, but on the one where the calf goes up a little higher, it was tight around my leg. I would recommend these to anyone if you don't mind having a little defect in them.
"Big Euro Socks" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Euro Board Supreme Sock Men's
  • Pros:  Lots of padding, Keeps you warm,
  • Cons:  Didn't fit as I expected, Didn't have a medium sock to replace it with,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  L = 9 - 11... I wear 9.5 boots and the socks were too big

Experience:   Although these socks didn't fit me too well, they were a little big, I would recommend these as long as you get the correct size. I should've went with the Medium sock as I wear 9.5 boot. Make sure to order your size in the higher range.
"Good starter board" 4/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Team Snowboard
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Good for starting out, Good flex,
  • Cons:  Unstable at high speeds,

Experience:   My friend owns this board and we like to switch off on the mountain. I feel this is a good board for starters and it offers lots of value. Easy to turn, base isn't too fast, decent amount of flex. Rides well on groomed trails and rides well switch.
"Good beanie for the price" 4/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Monaco
  • Pros:  Good price, Good fit,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits well, not too long

Experience:   Fits well on the head with nothing sticking out on top. Not too long and doesn't cover my eyes. Good beanie for the price.
"Replacement Files" 4/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Dakine Replacement Snowboard Files
  • Pros:  New cheap files, Fits into many different holders,
  • Cons:  Not as good as Swix,

Experience:   Good cheap replacement files that will fit a lot of different file holders. I use these files for de-tuning friends boards and the occasional edge sharpening. But if I want a good sharp edge, I go to my Swix files.
"Short Shorts" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Baker
  • Pros:  Nice design,
  • Cons:  Too short on the knee,
  • Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Short on the knee

Experience:   Decent pair of shorts but they sit a little high on the knee. Recommend going a size up for a better fit for the streets.
"2010 Custom V-Rocker" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  V-Rocker, Doesn't wash out, Playful
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches easily,

Experience:   I got the 2010 Custom V-Rocker after being very skeptical about reverse camber snowboards. I demoed a Neversummer RC board earlier in the season and didn't really like it. But after reading all the reviews on this site and many others, Sierra offered the board at a price I couldn't refuse and I had to jump on it. I'm glad I bought the board and it is definitely a candidate for a quiver killer. Buy this now!

"Great Jeans" 4/14/2010

  • Name: 2010 Analog Arto Jean
  • Pros:  Great color, Great fit,
  • Cons:  Button fly,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  I got the 36x30 jeans and they fit really well on me. I'm 5'7 and 195 lbs.

Experience:   Nice pair of jeans and it has a nice look to it. I got the Perkins jeans and I thought it was going to be black going by the pictures online. But when I got them, it turns out they are just a really dark blue, which is good. The only thing I don't like about them is the button fly.
"Good wallet for 10 bucks" 4/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Special Blend Onyd Gift Box
  • Pros:  Good wallet, Decent quality,
  • Cons:  Ugly hat,

Experience:   I bought two of these gift boxes. One for a white elephant Christmas party and the other one so I could use the wallet. I didn't care much for the hat, but at $10 each I got a good wallet to use.
