"Decent, lightweight" 11/13/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Volcom Limited Wool Snowboard Socks
  • Pros:  Good fit, good look,
  • Cons:  put a snag in the, immediately, not exceptionally warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  They are a fairly tight fight, but in a good way. They do not slip down

Experience:   Volcom socks are decent, I cannot say they are the most favorite that I own for functionality but they look good. If you live in a colder area, I would not suggest these, at least not for cold days or night riding. I do really like the fit though, they fit better than many of my burton socks, especially around the calf
"I can see!" 1/7/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Electric EG2 Goggles Cyan Bronze/Silver Chrome Lens
  • Pros:  Clarity, Anti-Fog, Vision
  • Cons:  Helmet Compatibility,

Experience:   These are a great google from a trusted source. The amount of vision you have with the huge lens and minimal frame makes watching out for silly-skiers so much easier. I find that these goggles seem to be more easily worn without a helmet, rather than with one. The strap isn't as accomidating if you have a large head (helmet) and the frame size gets in the way depending on the model. If you are like me and rock a hat more often than a helmet, then obviously don't worry about a thing. These are certainly not sized for someone with a small face, these goggles are very large. Last thing, probably the most important, these don't fog up or at least I have not gotten them to fog. Trust me, the money spent will bring you lots of quality, enjoyment and reliability.
"Dear Burton, Meh" 12/31/2011

  • Name: 2011 Burton Moto Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Price, Speed Laces, Reduction Tech
  • Cons:  Feel, Speed Laces, Fit
  • Shoe Size:  12-13
  • Boot Size:  12

Experience:   I needed a new pair of boots and retested my luck with the MOTO because I got them on the cheap and yeah, I should have learned my lesson. They are an entry level boot and they get a decent rating of 3 stars because you shouldn't expect a lot out of them, but at the same time I feel you should get more. The foot reduction technology is great because I have larger feet and the speed laces are nice because I adjust a lot. The laces do get lose quickly IMO and the boots make your feet tired faster than they should. Next season, probably going to go with traditional laces. The toe area of the boot fit me nicely but not the heel part. I have narrow feet, so that is part of the issue I am sure, but at the same time it is annoying. I added inserts to the boot and they helped. I would suggest buying these if you are on a budget and get them for an excellent price, otherwise shop around a little more.
"DC are good" 11/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 DC Court Graffik Skate Shoes
  • Pros:  comfort, durable,
  • Cons:  bulky,

Experience:   I love DC shoes. I buy several pairs a year. I own them more than any brand, even Nike. The shoe is comfortable, I added inserts in them and its like walking on pillows. These shoes are bulky, I really feel they are large, and like all DC shoes, you should at least half size up. They are great for skating but good to just kick it in even sweat pants
"Warm Weather Gloves" 3/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Rome Bushwood
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Durable, Flexible
  • Cons:  Wet hands,

Experience:   The palm has a silicone like feel for waterproofing where you use your gloves most. There is a very comfortable fleece lining and the leather means these are durable. The Velcro straps make this easy to adjust over wrist guards or just your arm/wrist and seals up nice and tight, makes it easy to put on and off. Almost able to text with on a phone, but it takes a lot of trying, just illustrates the dexterity you have with them. Sadly, little to no water proofing, so be warned, if you get them very wet, your hands will get a little chilly. I say use these on your warmer days and go heavy duty on the colder days. Also would suggest some inserts to keep the hands dryer (if that’s a concern). Overall, good gloves, you will not be upset.
"Poacher" 3/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Poacher Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Comfortable feeling, Insulated,
  • Cons:  Zippers,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL

Experience:   I must say i was pleasantly surprised by this jacket. I would say best for temps in the 10-20s For the price it is a real nice jacket. Works with as a daily jacket if you want something for walking around town in the winter months, except bitter cold. The lining has a nice feel to it as well. Critically taped seems are great for the mt. I like the checkered pattern the best. The zippers are so so, i would have done them differently. Sadly, does not have zip in compatibility. Wish it was more breathable though. Also, has a google and audio pocket, both are essential to me as a rider...NEED my tunes.
"W9DE" 3/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Technine MFM Classic Snowboard
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Lightweight,

Experience:   This was one of my first wide rides, which was a nice change and different feel. Twin shape, makes riding switch easy. The flex is pretty soft and forgiving. The board is fun to mess around with, not what I would consider a board to keep for a long time, but certainly not a toss away. The board is taking some decent abuse, some side nicks and chips but no delam issues from it. The board handles well cruising around or hitting the park, good price for a diverse board. Few facts about the board not listed in description: 155cm board has 26.2cm width, poplar core, regular camber, extruded base.
"All MT Freestyle" 2/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Flux SE30 Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable straps, Base plate adjustment,
  • Cons:  Highback adjustment,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   If you feel that your feet get sore from riding and you feel it may be your bindings, check out these are only pair of flux bindings. So far, the most comfortable straps I have had. For me, they seem to fit better than most and sore feet are the worst thing next to being cold and wet on the slopes. These are highly adjustable, you can slide the baseplate to fit with your boot better. Unfortunately, if you are very particular in how your highbacks are set, you are limited by these bindings. Not as good as the Titans, a small step down. Good price, especially for a person looking to board in varied terrain and likes flex, but not a limp noodle.
"Firstyle Binding" 2/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Freestyle Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Easily adjustable , Light,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   These have the name Burton but remember, the low price is because they are entry level bindings. The flex is very soft, the binding response is okay, but by no means are these a long term solution to the serious snowboarder. As your riding progresses and you wish to take yourself to a higher level, don't count on these to get you there. A decent choice for a first pair of bindings, better than many other entry level styles.
"DC MLF FUN" 2/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 DC MLF Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Tail Pop, Speed, Control
  • Cons:  Top sheet damage,

Experience:   My first day out on this board was nothing but icy conditions, the board handled well. Last time out, I was boarding as the snow fell and the board handled great. It rides switch great, pops off the rail nicely, and glides across a box rail with ease. The board can carve nicely and it if you are looking for speed, it delivers on that too. I am very happy with this thus far. For a chambered board, butters like it's name should be Land O Lakes! The one problem with the board, the top sheet seems to damage(crack) if hit hard in the right places, not chipping though.
"Customs" 2/27/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Toe Caps Fit Great, Quick Response,
  • Cons:  Ankle Straps wear quickly,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These are highly rated by many riders, I feel as though they are not as good as the hype claims. They are good bindings, but not great. They fit well around my Burton boots, the white gets dirty quickly. What I don't like, and what I have seen a lot of my Burton gear do this year is the stitching has crapped out A LOT. In less than half a dozen uses, these look like the are at least a year old and seen some crazy aggressive riding.
"You Wax Your Board" 2/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Nitrous All Temp Wax 3oz
  • Pros:  Melts Easily, Smells Good, Good Performance

Experience:   I just waxed two of my boards and a friend's with this wax and was very happy with the results. It melted and spread easily, has a pleasant smell, scraped off easily, and most importantly performed nicely. The wax felt fast, meaning the boards felt like they were moving faster, with less friction.
"Good and Bad" 2/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Profile Under
  • Pros:  Comfort, Fit, Warmth
  • Cons:  Lack of durability,

Experience:   I loved these gloves, they have kept my hands warm through some cold temps, single digits and below. They fit nice and high above the wrist to ensure the snow is kept out. The problem with them is they already have ripped at the seams on two of my fingers on one hand, after only 5 days. This really was a large let down.
"Good sound" 2/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Skullcandy FMJ
  • Pros:  Sound quality at all volumes,
  • Cons:  price, cords,

Experience:   These are good quality headphones, so they do cost a lot more than your standard ipod earbuds. They look awesome too. My largest complaint is that the cords connected to the buds are not as versatile to move around for comfort, because they are very stiff.
"Works" 2/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Tri Scraper Tool
  • Pros:  Inexpensive, Sharp,
  • Cons:  Shape,

Experience:   This is my scraper, it gets the job done, cleans the wax off of the edges nice enough. I also find the edge of the scraper sharp enough to clean the wax off properly as well as quickly. I think the shape is not ideal because I don't feel that it allows for the best grip or control of the scraper.
"Love My Zeds" 2/6/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Spy Zed Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Great Fit and Durable, Lens change is easy,
  • Cons:  replacement lenses are spendy,

Experience:   I am a huge fan of spy. I own several pair of sunglasses, goggles, and I bought my gf some for Christmas. They are high quality without breaking the bank. You have a lot of different color comibinations with the different lenses available and they take a beating. I have been very happy with mine and no fog ups yet.
"Fun ride and decent board" 2/6/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Technine Split T Snowboard 157 Men's
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Easy to control,
  • Cons:  Delam happened quickly,

Experience:   I rode my friend's board this weekend and I enjoyed it. It was a change up from my burton, has a much softer flex and is a much shorter board than my own. It was easy to handle and control around corners but at high speeds I felt there was a lot of chatter. It goes of from small jumps with easy and doing a tailpress comes with ease. He has only ridden this board for half a season and it delammed on him the 3rd day on his tail.
"Good Essential" 12/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Buffer Snowboard Socks
  • Pros:  Extra padding,
  • Cons:  Coulld be made for better warmth,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  They fit well, good for my foot size (12)

Experience:   These are warm socks but could be better. I bought these because my girlfriend suggested it. If its super(sub zero-low single digits), you will need bootwarmers, but these are one of the warmer pairs you will find. The extra padding is nice for the shin and was needed for me. If you feel like your boots are nice but you want some more padding, these will help! Beats your grandmother's wool socks.
"Gotta love SPY" 12/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Spy Zed Snowboard Goggles
  • Pros:  Quality, Fit, Colors

Experience:   I have a medium face, fits great! I have the lymonade coloring, love it. The extra lens is nice to have too. The price being offered now is a steal! You will not be let down, spy delivers.
"Good Pants!" 12/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Analog Generator Snowboard Pants
  • Pros:  Roomy but not too baggy, large leg vents,
  • Cons:  none yet,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  excellent!

Experience:   If you have a big build to your legs and a smaller waist these pants are great! You will find plenty of room without excessive bagginess. The pant legs are a great length and the color is good too. Def a quality pant you would expect from the company! ENJOY
"toasty" 12/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Expedition First Layer Pant Men's
  • Pros:  Keeps of the sweat stank, WARM,
  • Cons:  sizing,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  The waist is just too big

Experience:   These pants are way better than putting sweats over your tights and better than long johns. They will keep you warm as well as less smelly. For use on the colder days for sure.
"Light pack" 12/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Treble Yell Pack Women's
  • Pros:  Nice Bag, Lightweight and simple design,
  • Cons:  Too small,

Experience:   The quality and coloring is cool but only has 1 main pocket. The other 2 that you can see are the side pockets for water bottles and maybe a calc and pen. If you need to carry a lot go for a bigger bag but if you are looking for a light load, this may be for you!
"6th Pair of DCs" 12/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 DC Pure Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Sole Grip, Construction,
  • Cons:  Needed more color options,

Experience:   LOVE these shoes. They fit nicely, the best I've had from DC and I love the brand. I felt like the sizing was perfect and maybe the shoe is a little more narrow than most men's shoes, but I felt that it was more comfortable and allowed them to fit better around the foot.
"Good point, better price" 12/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Moto Snowboard Boots - Kid's
  • Pros:  Speed lacing, Fit,
  • Cons:  Lace protection,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12-13
  • Boot Size:  12

Experience:   These are a good pair of boots, especially for a beginner or anyone really. If you like a more flexible boot shaft, this would be a very good choice. Make sure your binding does not rub against the laces, they will wear them down easily. If you are looking to save some money but still get a decent boot, give these a shot.
"Good Helmet" 12/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Protec B2 Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  Takes a beating, Fits pretty well,
  • Cons:  lining could use some retooling,

Experience:   Its a good helmet with a good look and price. The price is what attracted me to the helmet originally, but after I looked into other helmets, I realized this was a good helmet for a reasonable price. This is a straight forward helmet, nothing fancy to the the shape but it's there to keep your brains in your head. If you buy it, you will not be let down.
"Good Jacket" 12/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Grenade Southface Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Grenade is quality and it lasts,
  • Cons:  3k/3k,
  • Description:  Accurate fit, I still can't believe I wear an XL

Experience:   Everyone should buy one grenade item, help grow the brand, they will see that they make some of the best gear around. This jacket is a great example of that and you wont be sad. If you see it in a store or any other shells by Grenade, check it out!

Experience:   This is just a great beanie to wear around town or if you choose to not wear a helmet. Looks good, classic look.

  • Name: 2010 Sanuk Vagabond Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Anti Microbial,
  • Cons:  material stretches,

Experience:   These are a wonderful sandal! If you are looking for comfort and style with a little more formality than slides or flip flops, these are tops! Warning, at first they are slippery on surfaces like waxed marbled floor and will shock you for a moment!
"THE BEST" 11/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Reef Fanning Sandals Women's
  • Pros:  Arch Support,
  • Cons:  Price,

Experience:   These are the best sandals I have ever owned. I bought a pair, decided I could not do without being able to wear them with anything, so I now have several in multiple colors. They hold up nicely, feel great, look good too
"Straight Cool Look" 11/30/2010

  • Pros:  Soft material,
  • Cons:  black coloring begins to fade and change contrast,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
