"Good backpack" 2/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Day Hiker 20L
  • Pros:  Lots of room, Looks good in person, Feels secure
  • Cons:  Not very comfortable with a board strapped in, Headphone passthrough tore up the rubber on mine,

Experience:   So this backpack looked a lot better in person than I had expected. I even use it for school now and have received comments and questions on where I had gotten it. The laptop pouch section is awesome for carrying your laptop around in school. Now on to how it feels on the slopes. As long as you strap the backpack up nice and tight, it feels really secure. There are several pockets inside (even one that is zippable while being warm and fuzzy) to keep all your belongings while you shred. Not having to have those belongings in your pockets and bruising up your thighs is a big plus! The only real con I found with this backpack is that when i strapped my board on the boardstraps, the board kept hitting the heels of my boots...which made it a bit uncomfortable to walk but its ok cause carrying my board isn't that big of a hassle (only strapped it in when i was trying to teach my friend how to toe-side carve). Overall I highly recommend this backpack!

  • Name: 2010 Union Force SL
  • Pros:  Super easy buckles, Very well built, lifetime warranty
  • Cons:  Screw comes loose,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   My experience with the Force-SL led me to look into other Union bindings for my future purchases. The buckles were one of the easiest to tighten with and although MOST people complain about Unions Toe-cap, I found that if placed correctly, they will not budge. It worked flawlessly. Definitely recommendable!
"Good Board!" 12/21/2009

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Halfpipe,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Awesome handling, nice asym sidecut, pickle bling
  • Cons:  Weak Topsheet,

Experience:   Despite what the reviewer under me said, my pickle rode with amazing speed. In fact, I was riding with a friend on a Burton 7 and a Friend on a Capita and I outran them both. Handling and Flex is awesome on this board as well. The only bad thing is that the first day I took it out, part of the topsheet already broke and splintered off.

"Can't beat that price." 2/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Special Blend Chili
  • Pros:  Nice, warm, and fits snug.
  • Cons:  The visor actually rises a bit when you put it on. Although some people might not mind this, I found it a little annoying... but for the cost, you cant argue.

Experience:
"Good for the money" 2/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton AL-1 Tool
  • Pros:  Awsome little tool to carry with you on the slopes. Eaisly fits in any pockets and gets the job done.
  • Cons:  It could hurt/scratch the palm of your hands if you try to screw/tighten with all of the tools closed except for the one that you are using. Also hurts to fall/sit on it.

Experience:   The con can be fixed by just unfolding all the tools then using it.
"A decent Rub on" 2/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Rub Down Wax
  • Pros:  Nice, quick and easy method of putting on the wax for those people on the go with no time for a real iron-wax job.
  • Cons:  Buffer is too small

Experience:   If you purchase this product but do not have a tuning kit of your own, at least buy yourself a decent buffer pad as the one that comes with this set is small as your index finger and will strain you to buff it out with your fingertips.
"Good bindings for the price" 1/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Mission
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   This is an awsome binding ESPECIALLY for the price that it is at. The only con that I had with it is that the screw for one of the binding straps came out when i tried to tighten it a lot. Although it only happened once so far (owned for two seasons now), it was still annoying going around the whole resort in search of a screw driver. Now i learned my lesson and carry one of my own.
