"Pretty Solid All Around" 9/26/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Twin Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Stable, Good Carving,
  • Cons:  Not Really Flexible,

Experience:   My buddy had me borrow it before my new board came in. He and I are the same size which helped. All in all, I thought the board was pretty solid on making cuts and got some decent speed going downhill. It wasn't as flexible as I would like but still got the job done for a couple days.
"Not Impressed" 9/18/2011

  • Name: 2009 Skullcandy Smokin' Buds Earbud Headphones
  • Pros:  None,
  • Cons:  Falls out of Ear Constantly, Sound Quality,

Experience:   Bought these to workout and to just trek to classes and back and they never seemed to want to stay in my ear. The sound quality was not impressive at all. Don't recommend these if you wanna do activities with them...
"Perfect Grip for Large Feet" 11/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Large Scraper Mat
  • Pros:  Control, Grip,

Experience:   The studs on the stomp pad really grips my boots and I have great control when in line on the lift and I've been able to have great control when coming off the lift. I used to fall all the time because my boot would slip but this stomp pad keeps me from slipping!
"Greatest Fleece Jacket EVER!!!" 10/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Jacket
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Blocks Cold Weather & Wind,
  • Cons:  Expensive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Standard

Experience:   Skeptical about the $150 jacket but this Fleece by Mountain Hardwear is incredible. It blocks the wind and cold weather very well. Numerous cold days where that's all I wear as a top and stay warm all day.

  • Pros:  Long Inseam, Design,
  • Fit:  Just right

"Great!" 10/18/2011

  • Name: 2009 Matix Chaingang Zip Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  Polyfill, Plenty Warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L

Experience:   This is a great all around Hoodie, insulated with the polyfill. Standard fit is simple enough (just the right size). Arms can get chilly in the colder months though.
"Great Shirt" 10/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Volcom X Factor Solid L/S Shirt
  • Pros:  Elasticity, Not Restrictive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Slim

Experience:   This shirt is a slim fit but I was able to try on a Large and an XL and stayed with the Large. It's a comfortable material with the elastic in it and that helps it not be a restrictive button down shirt. Definitely recommend getting this one!
"Plaid is Rad" 10/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Element Weyburn L/S Shirt
  • Pros:  Design, Comfortable,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular

Experience:   This is an old school plaid shirt and it fits great. It's not baggy like some button downs are and it's not slimming either. I'm 6'1 and 195 lbs and the Large fits just the right size.
"Soft Material" 10/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Respect TShirt Men's
  • Pros:  Soft Material, Logo Doesn't Crack,
  • Cons:  Need a Size Up,
  • Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Slim Fit

Experience:   This is a great shirt no doubt. It is a slim fit shirt and I normally wear a large. I tried both a Large and XL and I went with the XL and since it's a slim fit it did shrink down a bit in the wash so now it fits more like a large. I would definitely recommend going a size up so you're not disappointed after the first wash. Don't let that take away how good of a t-shirt it still is.
"Solid" 10/16/2011

  • Name: 2011 Matix Monocut TShirt
  • Pros:  Fit, Not Restrictive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular

Experience:   This is a good street shirt, it's 100% nylon and good material. The fit is a regular fit and the Large fit me just fine (i'm 6'1 and 195 lbs). The design hasn't cracked or peeled at all either.
"Great!" 10/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Matix Kenningan Shorts
  • Pros:  Design, Fit,
  • Cons:  Deceiving Picture,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular

Experience:   Some say that these shorts fit a little large but I'm a 34 and they fit great! It's a regular fit so it's not constricting by any means. The pictures make the white plaid design to look white and gray but the gray is a green and the blue sticks out a little more than the picture gives it. All in all, a great pair of shorts!
"Long and Crazy" 10/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Matix Gusto Cold Gold Boardshorts Men's
  • Pros:  Not Restricting, Plenty of Pockets,
  • Cons:  Little on the Large Size,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Large

Experience:   The design of these shorts is a little crazy given all the praise on alcohol but they're still eye-popping. They're a bit longer than most shorts because these are for style points. They're not restrictive and the extra pockets help too.
"Great!" 10/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Matix Kling Boardshorts Men's
  • Pros:  Mesh Lining, Quick to dry,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular

Experience:   Great Shorts! The mesh lining helps the boys and they are quick to dry. The outseam is 22 which is good and not restrictive at all.
"Slim but Good" 10/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Matix Welder 2 Shorts
  • Pros:  23 outseam,
  • Cons:  a bit stiff, slim on the legs,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Slim Fit

Experience:   I like the length of the shorts but they are a bit slim (mind you I have large thighs) and the material of the shorts has a little restriction in movement.
"Good Shorts" 10/15/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Matix Welder 22" Plaid Shorts Men's
  • Pros:  Design, Cell Phone Pocket , Very Comfortable
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular Fit

Experience:   I really like the design but the material of the shorts make them very comfortable while still having a clean look. The cell phone pocket always helps out too.
"Pretty Solid" 10/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Matix Linear Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  Logo hasn't cracked or peeled, Warm,
  • Cons:  Size too Big,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Large Fit

Experience:   The logo sits pretty high but it hasn't cracked or peeled. It sizes pretty large, I'm 6'1 and 195 lbs and I wear a large but it was a little bigger than I'm used too. But that doesn't take away how durable and warm it is.
"Tight on the Legs" 10/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Matix MJ Signature Jeans
  • Pros:  Stretch Denim, Inseam Length,
  • Cons:  Tight on the Legs,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Tight Fit (Gripper Fit)

Experience:   I have large thighs and the Gripper Fit by Matix really closes down on the thighs but they aren't like skinny jeans (there's a difference between those two styles). Tight on the thighs but the stretch denim doesn't hinder movement at all.
"Great Pants" 10/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2009 Matix Mike Mo Jeans Men's
  • Pros:  Straight Leg Fit, Stretch,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Straight Fit

Experience:   These jeans are great! The straight leg fit isn't constricting on my thighs. The stretch denim allows for more movement too. I wear a 34 and the inseam is a 32 which is the right size for me.
"Love the Slouch" 10/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Truckstop Beanie
  • Pros:  Slouch Fit, Surprisingly Warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Baggy/Loose

Experience:   Most slouch beanies have a loose fabric which doesn't allow them to be warm at all (it's more of a style issue) but this Beanie still keeps me ears and head warm. Definitely a good buy, keeps you warm and still has the slouch style/feel to it.
"Solid" 10/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Matix Miner Jeans Men's
  • Pros:  stretch denim, low rise fit,
  • Cons:  expensive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L

Experience:   Didn't expect the button fly when I ordered them. The stretch denim allows me to move around a lot more. I'm always on the move and the spandex allows for more stretch in the denim and it limits the restriction of movement like most jeans. pretty expensive though. it's got a low rise fit to them and the sizing is just right.
"Great Shirt" 9/29/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Matix Landis Shirt Men's
  • Pros:  Great Fit, Design,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L

Experience:   This is a great shirt, it's got a soft feel to it and it's the right fit all the way through. Long enough to tuck it in if you need to, short enough so it's not like a blouse.
"Great Shoe" 9/27/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 DVS Premier Sandbar Wakeskate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable Fit, Not Wide,

Experience:   Very impressed with these shoes, I have narrow feet and these shoes aren't wide at all. The arch is not flat like some skate brand shoes which helps. Very comfortable all around.
"Good Shirt" 9/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Circa Icon TShirt Men's
  • Pros:  Fits Well,
  • Cons:  Slightly Shrank, A little stiff til broken in,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular

Experience:   Got this shirt awhile ago and the fit is great! It shrank just a little bit but it wasn't really noticeable. It was a little stiff coming in the mail but after wearin it around and washin it a couple times it was more comfortable.
"Good not Great" 9/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Circa Tave TT2 Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable,
  • Cons:  Large Tongue, Really Wide,

Experience:   the shoes have good grip and are really comfortable but the tongue looks like it could be its own shoe it's so large and they are pretty wide. I struggle with this because i have a narrow foot but that's just me.
"A little baggy" 9/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Matix Evo Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable,
  • Cons:  A little Large,
  • Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL

Experience:   I normally wear a large and realized I coulda gone with a medium but oh well. It's still very comfortable and keeps me warm here in Nebraska where it chills down early in September.
"Decent " 9/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Logo Fill TShirt
  • Pros:  Fit,
  • Cons:  Stiff Fabric, Slightly Shrinks in Wash,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Regular

Experience:   Girlfriend got it for me and it's not bad. I wish it would be a softer fabric and not too stiff of a shirt. It shrank a bit in the wash so might keep that in to consideration.
"Good Boots" 9/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Invader Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Heat Mold,
  • Cons:  Shoe String,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   These boots are more for beginners. The shoe string on the boots are tough to tie when you need to re-tie the boot on the mountain because you're fingers freeze up bad. I tried these but the quickties from the Burton Moto helped me out when tightening up the boots. The heat mold helps the boot contour to your feet. If you don't mind having cold fingers when tying them up then go for it because the price is very good for boots.
"better than previous version" 9/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Bandito Facemask
  • Pros:  Fleece Lining,
  • Cons:  Tends to slip, Gets moisture on it,

Experience:   The previous years of the bandito were not very good. as you would breathe into the mask it would develop moisture and the fabric would freeze on your face. the 2012 model has the fleece lining but it only cover the nose and mouth area so if moisture gets on other areas of the mask and it will freeze up again like the previous version. demo'd it at Scheel's when their new product line came in.
"Great Pants!" 9/20/2011

  • Pros:  Not Stiff, Length,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Straight

Experience:   I have 2 different pairs and the fit is great. It's a straight leg fit and it's not tight on my thighs at all. I have plenty of movement in these pants. I'm a 34/32 and the length fits to that 32 which is great.
"solid" 9/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 DC Versaflex Skate Shoes
  • Pros:  Grip, Cushion (air bag),
  • Cons:  limited colors,

Experience:   I really like this shoe, wish there were more color options after I saw a dude wearing the same ones! The cushion on it is great with the activity I do in them. They're not insanely wide which is good for my narrow feet.
"Solid Shoes" 9/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 DC Pure Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Lighter than avg shoes, Grip,
  • Cons:  limited color options,

Experience:   I've had these shoes for awhile and i like how they are narrow as opposed to most skate shoes but that doesn't take away from their performance. The grip really helps out too. Wish there were more colors but still a good shoe.
"Great Fit" 9/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Volcom Frickin Too Chino Shorts
  • Pros:  Material, Cell phone pocket on side,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Relaxed

Experience:   I have 3 different pairs because they're such a great pair. They have a relaxed fit so it doesn't hug up too much on the boys. The material is soft which helps (you never want a stiff pair of shorts). Sizing is just right, I wear a 34 and they fit great!
"Always good" 9/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Vans Classic Skate Slip On Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Waffle designed sole,
  • Cons:  Lacks arch support, Easy to get dirty,

Experience:   I have always been a fan of these shoes and the waffle design sole helps prevent slippage when walking on slick surfaces. I have somewhat of a high arch so the flat surface strains the back when I wear them all day. Depending on the color you get, keep them clean because the cloth gets dirty pretty easily.
"Pretty Solid!" 9/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Vans Rata Vulc Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Has an arch, Doesn't smell going barefoot,
  • Cons:  Size is 1 size larger,

Experience:   I was able to try on a pair before purchasing and i'm a size 12 and needed to purchase an 11 because it sizes too large. The sole is a different material so when you go barefoot it doesn't stink like other materials. It's a solid casual shoe and I have been impressed with them!
"So/So" 9/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010
  • Pros:  Ear Loop,
  • Cons:  Don't last long, Limited sound ,

Experience:   Bought these to workout in because they have the ear loop which is a bonus but they did not last long at all. Very disappointed at the longevity of these headphones. The other skull candy's i've had have been pretty solid but these are low quality.

  • Name: 2011 DVS Militia Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  Plaid design, Comfy fit,
  • Cons:  Really wide,

Experience:   I like the design and the plaid added to the style but the shoes were really wide. Looked like I was hiding two feet in each shoe.
"Great Shorts!" 9/18/2011

  • Name: 2010 O'Neill Hyperfreak Boardshorts Men's
  • Pros:  Material of Shorts,
  • Fit:  Just right

"Great Shorts!!!" 9/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Volcom Frickin Annihilator Shorts Men's
  • Pros:  Fabric,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Relaxed Fit

Experience:   Purchased these recently and couldn't be more impressed. The fabric is more polyester than anything which is a softer material. With that kind of fabric it's easier to move around. Don't let the fabric fool you, they still look like a good casual pair of shorts. The fit is perfect, I wear a 34 and they fit just right.
"Great Pants" 9/16/2011

  • Name: 2010 Matix Miner Jeans Men's
  • Pros:  Stretch Denim,
  • Cons:  Pretty Expensive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Straight Fit

Experience:   Got them on sale and was very impressed. The stretch denim allows me to move around a lot more (even when I rock climb). I am a recreation professional and you're always on the move and these jeans allow plenty of movement. It's a straight fit and doesn't tighten down on my massive thighs.
"Solid Jacket" 9/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Nike Slainte Snowboard Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Powder skirt, Adjustable hood,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  I have an athletic build so it was a little baggy around the torso

Experience:   Solid jacket and the powder skirt helps out when taking spills on the mountain. It was a little baggy around the torso (if you're an athlete). It has a specific pocket for an mp3 player but most jackets have that now. Kept me more than warm when on the lift on windy days which is a plus!
"Fits for its Purpose" 9/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Bern Watts Eps Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Adjustable Strap, Visor, Ear Warmers
  • Cons:  A little expensive,

Experience:   Saw a kid cut my friend and her helmet helped her from having a massive spill. I purchased this helmet that afternoon because you can't control other riders and accidents can happen. Took a nasty spill and the helmet held up great. The visor over your goggles help prevent outside elements attacking your forehead which is good too. Definitely recommend when on a mountain with plenty of ice sheets.

brownc
What size bag did you get for your board? I was looking at 176 for my 160. I want to be able to put boots, clothes etc in there also.

sirelderly16
I got a 176 for my board and my board's a 162W. I was able to put my boots in there as well as some thermals. There's an extra pouch on the outer part of the bag where I had wallet, phone, etc.

  • Pros:  Waterproof,
