"Never have wet hands again!" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (5) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton GoreTex Gloves
  • Pros:  Dry, Warm, Comfortable

Experience:   I bought these gloves after I get a nasty tear in one of my old gloves. I always thought you just had to deal with your gloves if they kept your hands a little drier than without gloves. I was amazed with these gloves. My hands stayed dry the entire first day I used these gloves, and surprisingly they were warm as well. The gloves were very comfortable and I really liked them overall.
"Good board, wrong size for me" 1/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Twin Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Jumps,Off Trail,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Durable, Good for carving, Great edge grip
  • Cons:  Stiff,

Experience:   I picked this board up as the first board I owned for $120. I thought that 157 cm would be the right size for me, but it wasn't. I thought the board would be great for butters, but I was wrong. It was super stiff, which is good for progression, but not for a park board. I snowboard all of the mountain, from the groomers to the park to the backcountry. The board worked great in the occasional powder and worked amazingly in northwestern crud and slush. I am now looking to replace it because I need a board that is more flexible, so I can work on my park snowboarding. Overall the snowboard is very good for most of the mountain, but could use more flex for the park.
"You need a leash anyways..." 1/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Convert Snowboard Leash
  • Pros:  Works as a leash,
  • Cons:  You have to buy it for laws,

Experience:   You need a leash at most resorts anyways, so get one that's at least cheap and stylish like this one.
"Zoom past your friends" 1/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Flow The Five Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Easy to use, Fast, strong bindings

Experience:   I picked up these bindings because the tech looked cool, where you don't need to completely redo your bindings every run. I felt at home switching from 09 burton customs to these, and I put my bindings on in less than 5 seconds, while my friends struggled to take only 30 seconds.
"Believe in this board" 1/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Lib Tech Skate Banana Assorted
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Poppy, Stable, Fun

Experience:   I got this board because I've heard so much about it, and wanted to see what all of the hype was about. The board did perfectly in the fresh snow from the night before I first used it, and stayed great when the slopes were scraped down to ice. Works great for freestyle, but isn't only good for freestyle.
"Good quality, fall out easily" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Skullcandy Riot Ear Buds
  • Pros:  Good sound quality, Comfortable in ears, Don't hurt
  • Cons:  Fall out of ears very easily,

Experience:   These earbuds are great for casual use, like staying around your house or other uses that don't involve much movement. These do NOT work for snowboarding, unless you like cold hands. They fall out of your ears very easily when snowboarding, and you can't very easily re-insert them without taking your gloves off so they shouldn't be on a snowboarding website.
"Smith Goggles" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith Scope Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Good looking,
  • Cons:  Fog way too much, Get wet on the interior easily,

Experience:   These look great and work great at home or on dry days. When they get wet however, they ruin the whole point of the goggle because they get so foggy you can't see anything. I recommend choosing dragon goggles if you want to avoid fog for a low price.
"Great Pad" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Large Scraper Snowboard Mat
  • Pros:  Doesn't get filled with snow,

Experience:   A while ago I started to notice that my burton stomp pad was just getting covered with snow and becoming completely useless when I got off the lift. I managed to get it off and replaced it with this. This pad is perfect, it gives your boot a place to grip (the ridge in the middle) and of course it goes on easily and stays on. Great stomp pad.
"Great bindings, too sticky" 1/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 K2 Cinch CTC
  • Pros:  Strong, Easy to use once used once,
  • Cons:  sticky when removing foot from bindings, bindings loosen a small amount between/during runs,

Experience:   I borrowed my friends board for a day, and he had to show me how to use the bindings. Once I had them down, I was able to use them easily. I loved not having to re do my right binding each run. My only complaint was that when you had to take the bindings off all the way, the ratchet was very hard to pull back.
"Good Socks" 1/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Buffer Snowboard Socks
  • Pros:  Warm, Keeps your feet dry,
  • Cons:  expensive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Comfortable

Experience:   They kept my feet warm and dry the entire day of snowboarding, but they cost too much
"Awesome beanie" 1/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Billboard Slouch Beanie Men's
  • Pros:  Comfy,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Good

Experience:   I just got this beanie a week ago, and it kept my ears warm and my head dry. Also it looks sick.
"Dragon goggles" 1/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Dragon DX Goggles
  • Pros:  No fog,

Experience:   I bought a pair of these goggles cause i needed a new pair. The next day I found another pair lying around in the parking lot at my local mountain. These goggles are very comfortable and almost never fog up, but even when they do they defog quickly. love them
"32 Prion Boots" 1/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Thirty Two Prion Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Flexible, Easy to tighten
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   I demo'd this boot for a day from my local shop and the first thing I noticed about the boots was how comfortable they were. They are very comfortable and flexible. I hit a few jumps and these were forgiving on those jumps. The normal laces are always nice for the best fit. Overall I give this boot a 5/5.
"Burton Custom Bindings" 1/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Customizable, Forgiving,
  • Cons:  Low Quality,

Experience:   These bindings have many options to fit your boot better. Customizing the bindings takes at most 10 minutes to be a great fit. After about 15 uses, the rachets on the toe straps stopped clicking back after you tightened. This has only been a minor inconvenience so far, but it could cause problems. I've used the bindings over the entire mountain, and they've done great from icy park days to deep powder days. Overall they are great bindings, just seemingly low quality
"Awesome boots for low cost" 1/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride Orion
  • Pros:  Soft, Comfortable, Durable
  • Cons:  Some tangling,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  10
  • Boot Size:  10

Experience:   I picked up these boots because my old boots had a boa coil that broke. I was low on cash at the time, so I chose the cheapest boots that I could get. I wasn't expecting much from them, so I was surprised when I used them. First off the moldable liners are amazing, they slowly form to your foot as you use the boot. My first day using them I noticed that the clip for the liner did get tangled easily, but that wasn't much of a problem. The boot has held up for everything from carving down blues to cliff drops on double blacks to hitting the 35 footers in the park. Overall, this boot is as good of a boot that you could get for such a low price, it actually beats boots of higher prices easily.
"Good goggles for my aunt" 2/27/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Oakley Stockholm Goggles Women's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Stylish, No Fog
  • Cons:  Easy to scratch lenses,

Experience:   My aunt bought these when the foam on hers got worn out. When we bought them at REI the guy there said they would scratch easily, but they got scratched just from being put in the back of the jeep. My aunt said the goggles fit her face perfectly, and she has not had a single complaint yet. She said there hasn't been any fog at all.
"Snowboard jacket" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Lucky You Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Water resistant,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  As a sweatshirt should fit

Experience:   Got this sweatshirt for my birthday. It fits great, keeps me warm, and keeps me dry.
"Salomon Lord" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2009 Salomon Lord
  • Pros:  Flexible, Great carving for rocker, great in powder

Experience:   When I first rode these skis, they felt a bit awkward because I was used to racing skis. They do take getting used to, quite a few runs. When you practice enough, you are able to carve with them as well as on regular skis. The edges are not amazing, and it can get uncontrolled on bumps. These deserve a 3.5/5, which I'll round up to 4.
"2010 Park Pickle" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Flexible, good edge hold, Fun to ride on

Experience:   I've been wanting to use my friends park pickle for a while, and asked him many times if I could use it. He kept saying no till he FINALLY let me use it. I loved it. It was fun to ride, flexible but strong at the same time. It had pop but could carve, and overall was amazing.
