"Best Helmet Out there" 3/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Bern Watts Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  Durable, Well Designed, Tons of features

Experience:   It is apparent that Bern tested and thought out every feature that is put into this helmet. From the goggle holding rear device to the removable vent blocker, you can tell that the people at Bern snowboard (or ski). The first time out with the helmet the thing saved me from a concussion or worse at the hands of box. The only gripe I have with it is that it feels a little top heavy when you have your goggles off but still on your helmet.

"Am I even wearing a helmet?" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  So light you forget it is there,

Experience:   Honestly, this thing feels as light as as baseball cap, even with the audio version. The large was snug, perfect fit for my head.
"My First Bindings" 1/25/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Freestyle Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Cheap, Great for beginners ,

Experience:   These are the first bindings I ever bought. For the money, they get you a great entry level binding that does the job. What you hear about them not holding up in pow or doing crazy park stuff may be true, but these bindings get you by, just maybe not as good as other ones do. Overall, great binding at a great price.
"Great Boot for the money" 1/25/2011

  • Name: 2011 32 Thirty Two Summit Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Soft, Warm, Cheap
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   At first, these boots were pretty stiff, but after just wearing them around the house (not even riding) they loosened up and were broken in. I wear a 9.5 and its fits perfectly, no pinch points etc. For $100, I really don't see how you can go wrong. Boots are all about what fits you best, and these boots fit me perfect, and also happen to be just about as cheap as they come.
"Just Awesome" 3/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Oakley Crowbar Goggles
  • Pros:  No fogging, No pressure points, Awesome strap

Experience:   Like always, Oakley puts out another great goggle. While fairly pricey, there are plenty of deals to be found. Personally, I have had no trouble with them. No fogging, no pressure points, awesome strap that sticks to the head and is large enough for over helmet use. I even went face first into a box and have rode through the trees a couple of times with no scratches. Just a warning, oakley tells you to clean the lens with only the microfiber bag that is included or you can void the warranty. I only clean with the bag (keep it in my pocket) and it works great.
"Tried these on today at the shop" 1/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 K2 Factor Snowboard Boots - Men's
  • Pros:  Light, Snug,
  • Cons:  Be wary of size,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Tried this boot on yesterday at the shop. Overall, felt very comfortable and very snug, hugged my foot real well. Personally, I think they look sharp and have a great price. Just a warning, I normally wear a size 10.5 or 11 shoe and I found that the 9.5 in these boots fit me.
"great if you have the dough" 1/19/2011

  • Name: 2011 Oakley Fari Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  fit, looks, lots of bells and whistles
  • Cons:  price,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  baggey and very soft

Experience:   These are not my personal pants but a friend of mines, let me just say that they are awesome. They have tons of cool features like the vent zipper and have lots of adjustments to adjust fit. They are so comforatable he wears them around the 250 on a pair of pants you won't be dissapointed. That being said, 250 dollars for a pair of snowboard pants is too rich for my blood and I feel there is something just as good for less.
"Poor Quality, Overpriced" 1/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Skullcandy Ink'd Earbuds
  • Pros:  Stylish, Worked Well at First,
  • Cons:  Too expensive, Falls Apart,

Experience:   I had these headphones for all of a week. The little rubber earbud parts ripped off in my jacket. I didn't even where them boarding or anything, just on the bus and in the gym. Also, I picked mine up for about $20. That being said, there must still be better earbuds for even cheaper than that. The way I look at it, break the bank and get Bose or something or just get like a $10 pair because it seems all earbuds fall apart eventually.

  • Name: 2011 Oakley AFrame Snowboard Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Fit me perfectly!, Good looks,
  • Cons:  A tad expensive,

Experience:   Disclaimer: I Do not own these, just tried them on. Tried on these in Asian fit today at the oakley store. Let me just say that they fit asians AWESOME. I have always had trouble with sunglasses fitting me correctly, and goggles are the same way. Thank you Oakley for accommodating us small flat nosed people!
"Great Board" 1/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (4) No

  • Name: 2010 K2 WWW Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Rails
  • Pros:  Light , Flexible, Good Graphics

Experience:   This is not my personal board, but a friend of mine has the 2011 version I has let me use it. I am a new snowboarder, but I must say that it is much lighter than any of the other boards I have used. It is also very flexible and I like the graphics he has on the 2011 version.
"Great for the price" 3/12/2011

  • Name: 2011 Smith Holt Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  Light, Cheap,

Experience:   Compared to the Bern Watts and the Smith Maze, this helmet is a great deal for the price. While the fit is a tad larger than the Maze, it is a still a comfortable fit (personally I wore it with a thin hat on). It is not too heavy, even with the audio version.
"my girlfriend's bindings" 2/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Notori Snowboard Bindings White
  • Pros:  highly adjustable, good flex, appearance
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   My girlfriend rides these bindings on her burton feelgood. She absolutely loves them! She claims them to have the most comfortable straps she has ever worn. (The upper has a gel fill of sorts). Also, I have noticed how highly adjustable they are. The highback has a unique forward lean adjustment that is not only convienient but also alows for quick adjustments in small increments so you can get them exactly where you want them.
"Ride Agenda" 1/25/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride Agenda Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Easy turning, Doesn't catch edges,

Experience:   I have the 2011 Agenda in an adult 159. The zero camber center with rockered ends is a great combo for a beginner. Easy to initiate turns and doesn't catch edges. Overall, I am EXTREMELY pleased with the design and function of this board. It is pretty light and I like the graphics.
"My Summer golf shorts" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Reef Bold Seagull 2 Shorts
  • Pros:  Comforatable, Light,
  • Cons:  fit,

Experience:   Used to wear these golfing this summer. I must say that they were light and cool. However, they are build somewhat slim. I gained alot of thigh muscle for football and they are too tight to wear comfortably now.
"Wore these all summer" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Reef Fanning Sandals Men's
  • Pros:  Durable, Comforatable, Mold to feet over time

Experience:   I wore these sandals all summer. I worked as a camp counselor and was walking around in them all day. They took a beating and showed only minimal ware. Plus, the bottle opener is nifty, but I found it to be pretty impractical as it leaves some dirt on your drink ;)
"Waterproof" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Merrell Moab GTX XCR Low Hiking Shoes
  • Pros:  Waterproof,

Experience:   One of the best shoe companies out there! These water proof shoes will keep your feet dry (used to wear them in the summer, was amazed because I would be dry when the group was soaked in the morning). Also, Merrel offers a lifetime shoe warranty, who can beat that?
"First Jacket" 1/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Columbia Powder Lake 2 Ski Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Lots of Pockets,

Experience:   This was one of my first jackets that I had even before I started snowboarding. Very warm, lots of pockets. Went boarding with it at Wachusset during a blizzard, crazy fast winds, freezing cold. I was warm the whole time!
"Its a hoodie" 1/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (3) No

  • Name: 2011 Thirty Two Shiloh Zip Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  Comforatable,

Experience:   Well, its a hoodie. Nothing special here, but it is cool to represent snowboarding. People ask what thirty two is and you get to tell them. Fits fine.
"Not bad, but not good" 1/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2008 Ride C5 Nellis Cargo Shell Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Fairly warm,
  • Cons:  Not very waterproof, Falling apart a little,

Experience:   Overall, not a great pair of pants. For the price, they are not bad, but they have trouble keeping the water out and the waistline is beginning to stretch a bit.
"Some issues" 1/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride LX
  • Pros:  Comfy Strap,
  • Cons:  Screws, Overall construction,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Overall pretty unhappy with these. There are some screws that kept falluing out that I had to locktight to keep in. On the highback, there are adjusters. Only the right one locks and the left one does not.
