"Good bins" 4/13/2012

  • Name: 2012 Vonzipper Porkchop Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  No fogging, Loads of lenses to choose from, fits well with or without helmet
  • Cons:  Pinches (a little) at the bridge of the nose,

Experience:   Bought this years model and a couple of other lenses (from a different site though as they were cheaper than trusnow offered them for sale at...) and had a great time with them. Experienced different weather conditions when using them and they didn't fog once, either fully on my face, or on my helmet for a few minutes whilst on the lift. The strap has sticky tape on the inside which sticks well - either to the helmet, or your hat / head, and the view is not impeded at any angle. My only gripe would be that it pinched the bridge of my nose a little but not enough for me to complain. Maybe it's just the shape / size of my nose?!?!? Am VERY happy with the purchase though and would heartily recommend them.

  • Name: 2012 Burton Wheelie Gig Board Bag
  • Pros:  good packaging, well made / good wheels, LOADS of space

Experience:   Bought a 2011 model, so obviously a slight bit different to the 2012 model, but in the main I have to say: * It travelled transatlantically and my board, boots, bindings, helmet, tools and ski clothes travelled effortlessly and with no damge. (as well as my wife's boot's, helmet, ski clothes and my kids ski clothes....). In essence I think I'm saying it's strong, secure and loads of room! * The wheels make carrying your goods easy. * The front pocket is really useful too * Well stitched, well lined and overall a good quality bag. Great TruSnow.

  • Name: 2011 Rome S90 Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Strong, Light, Comfortable straps
  • Cons:  decals fell off,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought these as part of a package with a Sierra board, so the deal price made them incredibly attractive. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with these bindings - they are actually a lot stronger than they initially look. The polished metal gives an almost plastic look to them, but believe me they are up to the job. The straps are strong, comfortable and held me safely attached to the board. They are easy to adjust, although I only made changes off the mountain at the end of the day and took my time! The only failing I found was with the decals on one of them, within 3 days it had cracked and started peeling off. If I weren't based in the UK I would have complained, but what with time and delay it wouldn't have been worth the effort, and in all honesty it hasn't affected the structure or stability of the product so not worth the effort. Overall, happy with them, they are a good package with the board, and therefore no complaints from me.

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Mountain Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Solid, Good range of colours,
  • Cons:  Should have been packs of 4 rather than 2,

Experience:   Instructions for useage included and takes only a couple of minutes to put on your board. For the price you pay, there is no complaints from me. They do the job.

  • Name: 2010 Sierra Reverse Crew Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Powder,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Great Price, Flexible,
  • Cons:  Could do with better graphics,

Experience:   Took this board out for a week on both groomed, ungroomed and powder rides (what a lucky week on the mountain for me and the conditions!). Am not a park junkie so can't comment on the board's abilities here. Found the board to be very responsive and I immediately felt comfortable on it. Board is happy for cruising down the mountain in fast, or slow format. It is a good quality board, well made and flexible. Am glad I bought it.
