"solid park binding" 1/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Mission Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  good flex, solid straps,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   burton is doing something right with the missions. i havent had any problems with these at all. the new highback from the cartels is pretty supportive but gives it a good response. the only thing i could gripe about is the binding not having a dampening pad so your board doesnt get scratched..

Comments & Questions

letsgoride

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Vans Ayers
  • Pros:  comfortable,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   Very warm and comfortable and actually quite light weight. The material is warm and very tough. This is my go-to jacket. I use this jacket whereever I go (while driving to the mountain, gym, running, etc). Best of all, you can also use this jacket as a second layer on a cold day. The fabric material is soft, and like all fleece jacket. One thing about this jacket is that you have to avoid dryer as it will ruin the jacket. It also runs a bit big. Overall great buy!

  • Name: 2011 Burton Ion Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  good padding, flex,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   this might be one of the comfiest boots beside 32s that i have tried. The flex is just right for the park but is still stiff enough for responsive carves. It is warm, comfortable and looks sleek. speed lace system works in seconds but the only thing i am afraid of is it ripping
"bratas" 1/25/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Nike 6.0 Braata Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  super comfy, nice look,

Experience:   this is a sweet version of all the vans authentics and eras out there. i dont have the grey ones pictured but i have the all navy ones. the bottom of these is what makes the shoe. the crazy design makes it pop really well and the comfort just adds to this shoes greatness. the price isnt anything crazy for a nice pair of kicks.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Pro-tec IPS Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  strong metal strip,

Experience:   these are very solid. i dont really use them when i shred because i feel like it kinda hinders me but i use them when i ride my freebord. this shat keeps my wrist from being all scraped up.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Sabbath
  • Pros:  soft flex,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   these are now my backups but before i had used these for at least 3 seasons. they are one of the comfiest boots ive used. the flex on these is almost none. the leather stayed pretty clean and didnt start to desinigrate til my 3rd season with them. it even comes with b3 gel in the soles and has ankle locks.

  • Name: 2009 Burton Twin Snowboard
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Jumps
  • Pros:  solid ride,

Experience:   this is described as a park board but i feel like its more of a board to just cruise with. you would think it would be soft or even flexible but it actually is quite stiff. i tried the 151. it was a fun ride but seemed not very forgiving.
"thermals" 1/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Lightweight Badlands Pants
  • Pros:  stretchy, warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   these are all you need under your snowpants to keep you warm and satisfied. they arent super tight like some thermals out there but they give you room to breath and have a relaxed fit. the ankle cuffs are the right size also and dont restrict flow to your feet. from freezing days to spring days these will keep you warm and comfortable.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Rome Garage Rocker Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  good feel, solid ride,

Experience:   this board is the kill all if you are low on the bills. compared to my pusher it is almost as soft but is none the less very playful and buttery. the rocker helps it float a tiny more than normal boards but you really wont notice it right away. the surprising thing about this board is how solid the edges are built. i failed miserably on a couple rails and the edges were fine. if i would compare this to a board similar it would be the capita stairmaster. good board overall.

  • Cons:  none,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   Im 5'10 165 and this jacket in medium fits me pretty well. i got the purple and citron one. i used to have a burton poacher which held up pretty well but the anoracket is soo much lighter. the pockets on the anoracket are pretty nice because i use the chest pocket for my phone and wallet. overall great jacket.

  • Name: 2010 Burton The Hero Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Off Trail,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  ics , flex, good feel
  • Cons:  sketchy at high speeds,

Experience:   I was lucky enough to use my buddies 152 hero with est missions. im 165 5'10 and the board was awsome. when takin it down the park i was jus dicking around but it held up and feel of the board was very sturdy but also flexy. i could press no problem with it and since it has the est ics system the feel was something i have never really felt with other set ups. only sketchy part about this board is when gunnin down the mountain, the board holds its own but it does wobble decently at high speeds. top 5 board to get for me.

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  tough, flex,
  • Cons:  weight,

Experience:   my buddy has this board and i tried it out on some runs and boxes. at first i thought it was gonna comparably soft to my stairmaster but it was actually alot stiffer. when tryin to press on boxes i had to add more pressure but no doubt it is a fun board to mess around with. i also noticed that the board is more on the heavy side but that really doesnt matter to me. good board for those starting to rome all over the mountain.

  • Name: 2009 Burton Camp Hoodie Thermal Top
  • Pros:  very comfortable,

Experience:   I bought this sweater and it fits perfect. I am 5'10 and 160 pounds. The sweater is perfectly long enough. It comes about halfway in between my waist and bottom of my man parts. The sleeve length is also good. Its long enough where if it even shrinks a little the sleeves will still be long enough.
"thumbs up for dakine" 2/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Mission
  • Pros:  holds everything,

Experience:   This bag is the best one I have ever had. I keep everything from my camera for getting some video of me and friends, to a tune kit, to an extra pair of goggles in this thing... The board carrier is very comfrotable even though I dont really use it often its very nice to have. It has the space for it all and takes care of your gear so it doesnt get dinged up. Buy one if your gonna spend any long periods of time on the mountain, you wont regret it.

  • Name: 2008 Burton Outlast Midweight Thermal Crew
  • Pros:  warm,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   The lightweight thermal crew is a great choice if you have more than a shell jacket. It will keep you dry, your sweat will whick away while the shirt won't get all gross and smelly. this isnt the same thing as under armour but it comes close. i would suggest layering up just incase it gets cold.

  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   these are actually very good socks that will keep your toes and feet breathable but at the same time keep them warm. the elastic at the top of the sock isnt way tight like some other brands so your calves will get plenty of circulation. overall this is a good sock.

  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   these fit super well and have an awsome support system. lacing on these are nice and quick and quite durable. i wear a 10.5 and got these in 10.5 and they do fit a tiny bit snug but after a couple days of riding they started to form to my feet and pack out.

"goretex mitt" 2/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Gore Tex
  • Pros:  super warm, extra liner,

Experience:   i am very satisfied with my purchase. these are very waterproof, durable, and warm. I normally have very cold hands, but I've been wearing these without the liners and often found my hands very toasty. It seems like the liners come in handy only on super cold days. if its a nice spring day, you can just rock the mitts and you will be perfect.

  • Name: 2005 Dakine Sole Scraper
  • Pros:  good adhesive, works well,

Experience:   you would be surprised on how much this little thing can actually help you grip your topsheet. i usually ride without anything on my topsheet but decided to get this because i kind of was slipping when gettin off the lift and this made a total difference. it takes off most the snow on your boot and also is solid and will not budge after applying it to your board.

Experience:   I just got these socks and I love them. They are on the thinner side, but plenty warm and will NOT bunch up on your feet in your boot. Also, for the price, you really can not go wrong with buying these. It's crazy, but I actually feel more control with a thinner sock and have better days on the mountain. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!

  • Name: 2010 Burton Triad
  • Pros:  comfortable straps, solid highback,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   i paired these up with my rome pusher and i felt very comfortable on this set up. the triads felt a little stiff but its still a medium flex. i actually like the stiffness because i can feel the response is snappier and more precise. the straps are nothing but kush and the toe strap hold well if set up properly.

Experience:   this is the ultimate jacket for those who arent into the burton rubbish. suprisingly when i got this i noticed a couple things about the jacket that made it stand out. the main zipper actually has a whisle so if you ever are stuck in the mountains or need help you can use it. the other thing i noticed was the ricco system thing that is supposed to some how locate you on the mountain. i dont know if it really works but its a good idea. i am very happy with this jacket.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Anon Figment Printed Mirror
  • Pros:  clarity, perif,

Experience:   These goggles are great. The points where the strap attaches to the goggles are actually hinges which can move so when you wear it with a helmet the straps line up with the curvature of the helmet. And although the lens is of spherical design, another plus, the top is flat meaning if you've got a helmet with a brim that sticks out it sits flat on the goggles.

  • Name: 2011 Wigwam Snow Sirocco Socks
  • Pros:  thick bands,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M

Experience:   I wear a size medium in my normal socks, and a size medium is a very similar fit in these. When I first started riding, most of the snowboard socks I owned were thick and padded very heavily. These days, the emphasis is on the boot to provide the warmth, and having a relatively thin, low-profile sock to provide moisture wicking with a comfortable layer that fits snug to prevent chafing or rubbing on the skin. these are made in this style and work as promised

Experience:   These are great socks for snowboarding. They are warm and keep feet warm without being too bulky. I actually like that they shrink, as they were a little big out of the packaging. They are super comfortable and soft, but that means my fiance keeps stealing them. I think I'll have to buy a few more pairs.

  • Pros:  solid deck,

Experience:   this is the kill all deck if you are wanting to learn new tricks. the ride is very solid and is fairly easy to carve with. the flex on this thing isnt the softest but it will help you learn how to kind of butter if you press it hard enough. i would give it a 5-6 out of 10 on stiffness. overall this a solid deck to start your progression.

Sandvich
Hey man, I'm 5'10 165lbs and I'm trying to decide whether to go for the 159 or something shorter. I am addicted to speed and am just trying to break into the park a bit. Love jumps. Any advice on how this board might treat you if it were a bit longer and you were trying my style? Would you still choose this board? Thanks for your time :D

  • Pros:  decent size,

Experience:   there are two main things i can think for stashing in this little case. the first one would be pencils and pens, whatever you need for class. the second one would be for holding stuff you would use to get lifted on the lift. this is probable 7 inches long so it wont hold much but it still does the job.

  • Name: 2011 Electric EG2.5 Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  great periph, fits smith maze helmet,

Experience:   just got these shipped to me a couple days ago. first thing i noticed when tryin them on.. there is a gap where the nose piece is. my nose isnt small or anything but i know for sure there will be wind going through that gap. the foam is comfy but the frame doesnt fit my face like i would like it. the reflection is good and you cant see my eyes. overall for the price i was expecting a very comfy goggle but on a scale 1-10 they are probably 6-7. i also have vz dojos and i would give those a 8-9. overall if you can get these cheap go for it. they look awsome tho.

Experience:   this binding is more on the stiffer side. i have 07 cartels and these are a lot less flexible. the highback is shorter than most and does not flex really. this is a great binding for carvin and making the mntn your betch. one thing i absolutely love is the the gel toe strap. the netting on it conforms to your toe box and securely holds it down. another plus about these bindings are that it has a rubber pad on the bottom of it to absorb some impacts and so it will not stratch your board. burton should learn from ride. the ratchets click on and off decently smooth but arent as good as 390s smoothness. anyways this is a great binding if you can get it for a decent price.

Experience:   my friend has this board and i borrowed it for the day. im 5'10 165 and i used the 153. it held up pretty well throughout the whole day. at first it felt stiff but after playing around with it pressing it wasnt bad. the board was pretty good when dropping down the slope but after riding the lift with all goofy's the board had a couple nicks and the topsheet was a lil scratched but overall great board.

  • Name: 2010 Salomon Patrol
  • Pros:  light weight, venting system, goggle strap is secure
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   This is a pretty good helmet that can save your brain. i wore this when i was at keystone and a skier that was out of control hit me from the side and left a dent on the side of the helmet. if it werent for this helmet i might not be writing this review but overall the helmet is awesome. the design is smooth and it is actually very light. when your head gets hot you can open the top vents to cool out. good helmet that is worth the price

  • Name: 2010 Flow Merc
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,High Speeds,Low Speeds
  • Pros:  good board to start with, forgiving, easy carving
  • Cons:  kind of stiff,

Experience:   when i first started out boarding i borrowed the flow merc from my buddy. im 5'10 165 and i was using the 151. it was pretty good for my size but after i saw kids buttering and puttin flex on their boards i tried it on the merc but it didnt flex as much. the board seems to be a good beginner board to ride because it does pretty well on bombing the slopes and carving but other than that thats all. good board overall for a beginner.

  • Name: 2010 Rome Folsom Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  comfy, good flex, good reaction
  • Cons:  slightly arched,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  10.5

Experience:   I borrowed these for a day from my friend and it was very well worth the try. I cant decide between 32s and romes now. I rode these for just a day and had a little pain with the arch but after a couple runs it was gone and the boot was just nice and comfy the rest of the day. I wear a 10.5 and the boots were 10.5 and i had decent room for my toes to wiggle. good boot overall!!

  • Name: 2010 Burton Profile
  • Pros:  pretty durable, comes in a good variety of colors,
  • Cons:  puffy,

Experience:   I have these and the burton bakers but honestly these feel a little cheap compared to the bakers. I wear my bakers a lot more because they seem more comfortable. Spend the extra 10 dollars and get the bakers. These are alright tho if you are low on money.

Experience:   Got the idiom a while back and am still using it. It is very warm and tough jacket. I usually just wear a long sleeve under it and ill be fine for the whole day. There are lots of pockets on it so it can hold my cell phone, ipod, wallet and other items. great jacket with no regrets on it except the price.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Moto
  • Pros:  speed lace system, decent flex,
  • Cons:  hurts near ankle,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  10.5

Experience:   Got these boots for my birthday. I like the speed lace system because you can adjust the tightness of the boot on the mountain but for some reason there was a part near the ankle of the boot that kept digging into it. I have sabbaths now and whenever i where the motos i feel like the flex is alot stiffer. Overall decent boot for those who are starting.
