"Go ape$#@!" 11/12/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2012 Lib Tech Skunk Ape C2BTX Wide Snowboard 165 Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  High Speeds,Powder
  • Pros:  Banana camber/ rocker style, Great powder board, Magne-traction is BEAST
  • Cons:  Pricey,

Experience:   This board is the ultimate powder shredder. I work at a board shop and this thing is on my top three for pow boards. The rocker between the feet with camber under the feet makes this board focus the weight to the middle of the board on turns, making it an ice obliterator and chatter dominator!!! Its rTed at a 7 for flex whcih gives it aome pop, but I wouldnt wreck this beauty in the parks if I were you...

"Damn Good Pants" 3/7/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Poacher Insulated
  • Pros:  Compatible with all burton coats with waist zipper, Velcro waist tightening so belt isn't needed, Velcro and zippers on EVERY pocket
  • Cons:  bottom of pants drag sometimes (a bit too long), No cargo pocket on right leg (preffered),
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Plenty of room for an extra layer yet perfect length and snug in the waist!

Experience:   I bought these pants on here in December and used them for the entire (crappy) season we just encountered. I really enjoyed using them and have had nothing to complain about as far as staying dry or any stitching coming loose, but I would have to say they are a bit too long for me (not enough to drop down to a medium because I would run into fitting problems in other areas). The pants are insulated and have air vents on the inside of each leg which feels like a dream after shredding for a long period of time (every chairlift just unzip and feel the breeze!)... All in all I would have to say you cant go wrong with these pants, Cool color scheme (matches my backpack and I didn't know it) and great insulation and water proofing make these a 9/10 in my books!
"Mid-flex Super comfort/ lightweight" 12/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 32 Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  No pressure points/ lightweight design, BOA system w/ replacement cable, heat moldable in the shop!
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  10 1/2

Experience:   I purchased these yesterday after I returned my Salomon Factions (wasn't a fan of the amount of flex and they started to hurt my right ankle) and I am impressed with Thirty-twos designs. This boot has a small footprintwith a rubber sole (not like the better thirty twos which are foam), it's one of the more lightweight boots on the market in this price range, and it comes with an extra BOA lace in case anything breaks on the mountain. The nice thing about these and all Thirty-two boots is that when you go in to purchase them, if they fit a little too snug or you would prefer some more toe room, you can have the store head up the inside of the boots and have the molded to your feet. This allowed me to fit into a 10 1/2 no problem as opposed to my usual size 11. All in all so far, these are some super comfy, lightweight boots that are not a burden on your wallet! I will post more on riding them when I get the chance!
"Warmest coat I own...." 12/1/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Sessions Halo 2 In 1 Snowboard Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  SUPER WARM, Removable interior Layer , Comes with a few cool extras!
  • Cons:  where are the surround sound collar speakers!?,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  a little on the big side.... not enough to downsize to (M)

Experience:   I purchased this coat via Trusnow's black-friday deals and I have to say I am totally impressed, this is the nicest coat I have owned! It comes with a removable inner layer to adjust temps to ur liking, A goggle wipe for fogging issues as well as a neck warmer for those super cold situations! One of the coolest things I noticed about this coat is that it has these insert areas on the collar of the coat for speakers to make it a surround sound collar!!!! Now all I need to do is find out where to get those damn things and its on! Overall, the coat is a great fit, extra warm with options to make it cooler (arm and chest vents as well), and it has a bunch of cool options that come with it... I would reccomend this coat to anyone.... ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE!

BTW I found some cheap speakers made by Skullcandy that work perfect for the surround sound collar. They were only $20 and they are lifetime warranteed like all Skullcandy products!

"Mid-flex/ doesn't compromise comfort!" 11/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2012 Salomon Faction BOA Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Super comfy (fur liner near top of shin), Mid flex boot w/ small footprint, BOA system makes it sooooo easy to put on
  • Cons:  Can only find in black :-\,
  • Fit:  soft
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  10 1/2 or 11

Experience:   I love these boots, I just tried these on in the shop and I purchased them right there and then. These are a mid-flex boot which gives you the capability to pop and jib in the park, as well as throw down some mean lines in the backcountry and groomers. The BOA system is the only other lacing style I would go with other than traditional because its easy to change out a lace if you bust one. Dont be fooled by the low price of these boots, they are definitely worth more than they say.... OH YEA, and the footprint is one of the smallest among snowboard boots, that means you wont feel like ur putting on space boots when u ride!!!

as far as the 10 1/2 or 11, I could fit in to either one but I could say it fits like a true 11 for sure

"Typical DC " 11/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 DC Net SE Skate Snoes Men's
  • Pros:  Solid contruction, Flat sole skate shoe, Nice design
  • Cons:  Not super comfy, No support unless tied, Look stupid tied

Experience:   Didnt enjoy these shoes much, they fit like typical DC shoes which isn't that comfy and they look stupid when they are laced tight....
"Back up goggles" 11/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Electric EGB Goggles
  • Pros:  Cheap price, Decent UV protection lenses,
  • Cons:  Not too fog resistant , Lense gets damaged easily,

Experience:   I got these last year when my other goggles fogged up bad from a crash and these are just ok in my eyes. They are a good price but kinda cheap construction in my opinion, plus the lense its now peeling some kinda film.... I could only recommend these as a back up...
"Hawkeyes twin sister" 11/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2012 Anon Comrade Printed Goggles
  • Pros:  Great color scheme, Awesome lens, Huge frame for face!

Experience:   I tested these out when I was at the shop this week and they are a great fit! I have last years anon hawkeyes and they are spot on similar (minus colors of course) and I had a great experience with them last year. They don't tend to fog up as much as my electrics do which is every riders worst nightmare. Just be careful what you clean the lenses with because they will scratch just like any other goggle!
"Room for your noggin" 11/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Special Blend Sbtm Stripes Beanie
  • Pros:  non-itchy material, tight fit to head (no branches stealing ur hat), stylin'
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Tight fit around the head with slack in the top of the hat. (fits like the picture)

Experience:   I got this hat about two weeks ago in the shop and it is a sweet lookin hat! I love the color scheme because it matches my set-up, its a semi-warm hat with a tight fit to the head, but it has some extra room up top (in case you are sportin' some dreads).... Plus, it's Special Blend what more has to be said???
"Better for Big boots" 11/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Emblem
  • Pros:  thick and insulating, Tight fit to legs for no sliding, Durable/tough material (for a sock)
  • Cons:  for oversized boots? (doesnt say),
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits well, made for boots that are a little big on you

Experience:   I got these socks last year and used them on my trip to CO. I was told while out there that the thicker socks (such as these ones) are typically purchased if you are having comfort issues with your boot or they are oversized to your foot and you want a tighter feel. After hearing that I did end up purchasing some thinner since my feet fit my boots well already. I'm not saying they are a bad sock in the least, just be careful because they make a boot fit pretty snug....
"Just O.K." 11/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Emphasis Backpack Men's
  • Pros:  Nice design, Holds a good amount, Keeps everything relatively dry
  • Cons:  Can have wet items , Not a lot of pouches, Straps are kinda weak

Experience:   I bought this backpack a couple of weeks ago and have to say I haven't enjoyed having it so much. Took it fishing with me and had it in the bottom of the boat where it sopped up a little water, making the contents inside kinda wet. There arent many pouches for u to separate items in but you can still manage for a regular day of boarding. I feel that the straps are kinda weak considering they are smaller than my last backpacks and I destroyed that one.... I would only buy it if you saw it in person first....
"Good in Green!" 11/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Mission Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Awesome cushioned toe straps! (jelly), Super Light design, Awesome color schemes
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I.Love.These.Bindings..... I bought them last year for my Burton Twin and I have fallen in love. I used to own Burton Customs and these are a big step up from those. Cushioned toe straps help with adding some flex to your foot in the bindings and leave you with an overall comfortable ride. These are not the most aggressive bindings but they could hold up with some of the best!

"Baller Status Hat Son!" 11/7/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Slider New Era Hat
  • Pros:  style, price, design
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits very snug with little room to complain

Experience:   This hat is extremely comfortable as well as stylish for any rider. Burton is a very well known name and one of the elites in snowboarding so you know people will recognize the logo!
"Green/Black Frames = Nasty" 3/6/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Spy Ken Block Kubrik Sunglasses
  • Pros:  Nice fit (and they're GREEN), Not too square of frames, Great UV protection
  • Cons:  Difficult to wear a hat with,

Experience:   I bought these from Zumies last weekend and have enjoyed them thus far! I bought the Black and Green ones which are NOT offered on here( or they were already purchased cuz they're awesome!) and the only complaint I have is that they are difficult to wear with a fitted or flexfit hat without them digging into the side of your haed. But, that may just be because all my hats are kinda tight fit anyways. Check um out guys they are pretty sick!
"Looks Good In Brown" 12/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Logo Vertical Fullzip Hoodie
  • Pros:  Fleece lined for comfort and insulation, Lightweight, Nice Under-hoodie for riding
  • Cons:  Large fit me kinda snug compared to usual,
  • Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  It fit like a M/L instead of a L/XL which I prefer

Experience:   I got this hoodie as a gift from my roomy and my first impression was that it looked really traditional and simple with a large burton logo and nothing else on it. I enjoy the simplicity of the hoodie in general. I got the brown hoodie which has a goldish lettering for the logo which I dig because I have multiple brown Burton hats to wear with it. It is a lightweight, warm hoodie that is fleece lined and has two pockets on the front (the left pocket has a hole for your headphones to come through) but I wouldnt keep anything important in them because they don't have zippers and things could easily fall out... Overall the style and effectiveness of this sweater is a five star for me, buy one if you feel like reppin some Burton!

BTW, I went up to a XL from my typical Large and it fits great...

"I love these Bindings!" 11/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Mission EST Cant Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Awesome look, Perfect flex, Backed by the best customer support...Burton!
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I biught these last year and brought them out to colorado my second time out.they were amazing all over the mountain, though I had a strap pop loose when I was in the woods a few times but that can happen with any binding. all in all they are a recommendation of mineif they are in your price range.
"Very Nice Gloves!" 11/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Gore Tex Under Gloves Men's
  • Pros:  Stay relatively dry, Lots of insulation/cushioning, Hot pad pouches on top!
  • Cons:  Hands can tend to sweat, Difficult to wear under-gloves with,

Experience:   I purchased these last year at the shop near where I live for full price. They have plenty on insulation and padding but they tend to feel a little warm from time to time. If you are going out in negative temps. these are the gloves for you!
"Not so Good" 11/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Nice style, Inner sock never loosens,
  • Cons:  Too stiff of a tongue, No Flex in ankle, Pricey for what they offer
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  stiff
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I have had these for a couple of years now and have had some issues on the mountain with them. I've lost feeling in my foot due to the super stiff tongue they have as well as some painful points near the ankle bone. I would recommend trying a boot on at a store before making a purchase online for these....
