"Comfortable Pants, Good Deal" 6/4/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Sessions Achilles Snowboard Pants
  • Pros:  Comfort, Pockets, Price
  • Cons:  none,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Just right for me; slightly baggy, but not huge.

Experience:   Just got these pants near end of the season, have worn them maybe 4-5 times, and so far they have been great. Held up very well in cold temps with heavy snow, as well as warmer temps, and even rainy drizzle. They fit comfortably, keep my dry, and have a good number of pockets and places to stash your goods, as well as a holder for your season pass. The look is simple but stylish. All around a great bang for the buck.
"Great dual sport helmet" 5/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Red Trace Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  Price, dual purpose, fit
  • Cons:  ear pads,

Experience:   Bought this helmet in white last year, since I was looking for a helmet for use both on snow and for mild use for skateboarding in summer. This helmet is great for the price, and with removable ear pads, allows me to use the helmet all season for snowboarding, and then when I occassionally hit the skatepark in the summer. It fits well, and is comfortable, and keeps my head/ears warm. Only problem is once in a while the ear pads can pop out when you take a hard landing or when they get loose, but otherwise, I highly recommend for those looking for a simple dual purpose helmet.
"Nice Light Jacket" 4/29/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Bonfire Volt Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  light weight, plenty of pockets, simple design
  • Cons:  velcro on cuffs difficult to seal sometimes, waterproofing may not hold,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fits good overall, not too tight or too baggy.

Experience:   Bought this for a lighter jacket for warmer days, and actually ended up wearing it all season. It holds up well in all kinds of weather, and is actually warm enough for even cold days with an extra layer underneath. I like the design and color (blue), and it feels pretty sturdy and durable. It repelled water great for the first few days, but on a particularly drippy/wet day, it seemed to lose some of the repelling ability quickly, although I still didn't get wet underneath. The velcro cuff seals don't always tighten the way I like, but that's usually not an issue. It is exactly what I was looking for in a lightweight jacket, simple, functional, and looks good as well.
"One of my favorite boards" 2/6/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Nitro Team Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  good medium flex, stable at speed, quick edge to edge
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   I bought the 159 wide board looking for a good all-mountain/freestyle board hoping to use it for freeriding as well as in the park. Having been riding mainly freeride/all-mountain boards for the past ten years, I wanted to get back to trying more park riding on occassion, and needed a board with a bit more flex that would give me some ability to hit rails more comfortably and spin jumps with more ease, but that also held its own on the rest of the mountain. This board has been everything I hoped for in that regard. It carves very well,is quick edge to edge (even for a wide board in my case), the base is fast, it floats pretty well in powder, and you can take it pretty much anywhere on the mountain and it performs well. I feel much more comfortable spinning jumps, and it seems to lock into rails pretty well, although it is not super flexy for jibs, but it works fine for me. Also pretty poppy tail for ollies, and super stable in landing jumps and doesn't seem to hook an edge very easily. Overall, I am extremely happy with this board and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile all-mountain/freestyle board.
