"Palmer Classic, Great Board!!" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Palmer Classic
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds, Great value

Experience:   This board rides like my Custom. The first day I took this board out was in ~3 to 4 inches of freshies, and it handled the chop quite nicely. Good edgehold for the East Coast conditions. Great board for the price!
"Quality is Sierra!" 3/19/2009

  • Name: 2009 Sierra Die cut Sticker
  • Pros:  Looks great, and stands out well against the dark background of my Palmer Classic!
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   This is the first die-cut to go on my board! I can't wait to get the new wave of Sierra Die-cuts!
"Live It Love It!" 3/19/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Sierra We Live To Ride Short Sleeve
  • Pros:  Best T-shirt money can buy!
  • Cons:  Are you kidding?

Experience:   Out of all my t-shirts this is the one that I represent as much as possible. LOVE the artwork!
"The Mission...can't go wrong at this price!" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Mission LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   This binding was almost as simple to install as my Cartels. The only thing I would have changed would have been the baseplates. You might spend a couple of minutes getting 'em lined up, but once yer on...IT'S on! I had NO slippage with the toe strap on these binders whatsoever, and the construction quality is fantastic! Cushy ankle straps are def a winner here! These binders are stiff enough, yet forgiving enough for any kind of riding you do!
"The All-Time Classic" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Custom
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, Easy to carve, poppy, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Well known brand

Experience:   I can think of nothing negative to say about this board. It does everything well, so if you're looking for something that will get the job done, and don't feel the need to buy 3 or 4 boards this may well be the option for you. Great for beginner to intermediate rider!
"Burton Ruler Review" 3/1/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Ruler
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Heel hold, Easy lacing, Traction, Warm, Easy in & out
  • Cons:  Uncomfortable
  • Fit:  heel is snug

Experience:   I think I may have bought these a size too big because they mash my toes up a bit while on the slopes, but for my first pair of boots I have to say I'm pleased with the price and the quality. I've worn these for two seasons now and they look like I just pulled them out of the box. The Dual Speed Zone lace system makes it super easy to get snug where you want without a lot of hassle. So, if you're looking to get a quality boot with not a bunch of $$ invested, you can't go wrong with the Burton Rulers.
"Von Zippers FTW!!" 3/1/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Von Zipper Feenom Chrome + Headphone Muff
  • Pros:  Dark lens, fantastic peripheral viewing
  • Cons:  Not so great for riding at night or overcast conditions.

Experience:   The visual clarity while wearing these goggles is fantastic! I'm extremely happy with them, and the sound quality of the ear muffs is soo much better than the headphones that are in my Pro-tec helmet! I will say though that it can be a little difficult when riding in shadows and at night due to the darkness of the lens, which is one of the darkest that Von Zipper offers.
"Good Binding at a decent price" 3/1/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 The Eleven
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out
  • Cons:  Heavy, Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are great once you get them dialed in properly. The only negative I have for them is with regards to getting in and out of them when on the side of the slope. When you've got a flat area to maneuver in, it's not such a problem, but off the side of the slope it can be a bit tricky. Also, these bindings are heavier than my Missions and Cartels.
"Great Helmet" 2/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Pro-Tec Descent
  • Pros:  Lightweight, good price, and great fit!
  • Cons:  Pro-tec Audio-force ear pads suck. They worked for about two hours and then sounded like I was only getting the high-end portion of the music. I'm thinking about getting a warranty claim from the manufacturer (if I can) for the headphones.

Experience:   Love the helmet! Absolutely NO gaper gap w/ this unit whether I'm wearing my Smith or Von Zipper gogs. You'll be pleased w/ this purchase!
"Great Lock" 2/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Dakine Lock and Cable
  • Pros:  Easy to use, strong and long cable.
  • Cons:  A little bulky.

Experience:   I picked up this lock on the mountain while up in WV @ Snowshoe, and I have to say it was a great investment. The cable on this lock is long enough to secure probably three boards, and is easy enough to operate even with gloves on.
"Burton Cable Not Locked" 2/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Cable Lock
  • Pros:  Lightweight, and compact
  • Cons:  Does not do lock properly

Experience:   Don't waste your money on this lock.. I have one and was able to pop it open with a simple tug. The only thing this lock will do is keep the honest people honest. Of course, that's pretty much what any lock does..but you seriously shouldn't bother w/ this one. I ended up leaving this one at home and bought a Dakine Lock and Cable: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/Dakine-Lock-and-Cable-388.asp
"Burton Wheelie Bag" 2/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Wheelie Board Case Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Tons of room, smooth wheels, quality construction
  • Cons:  Looks like many other board bags.

Experience:   If you're flying into a premier boarding destination, it will def help to tag this bag w/ something that stands out..otherwise it blends in pretty easily. I love this bag though, and have had it for two seasons now. I'm a little embarrassed to say that this season I realized that there was another compartment that you could slide another board into!! When I was at the rental car agency some kid was amped to see that the wheels on this bag were skateboard wheels. Hehehe.. Anyways, ya can't go wrong with this bag for the price!
"Nice goggles" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Smith Cariboo OTG
  • Pros:  Great for night riding, w/ no fogging..ever! Lightweight
  • Cons:  Not quite as spherical a lens as I might like.

Experience:   I've worn these goggles for the last four seasons, and are really great for night riding or overcast conditions, but if you're in a bright situation, you may want to get a darker lens.
"Perfect gloves in any situation" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Profile Glove
  • Pros:  Grippy fingertips, warm regardless of conditions, good length.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   I've worn these now for 4 seasons, and have yet to get a tear in them. I know a lot of people that go through cheap gloves like mad..but these just keep performing so I see no need to get anything else!
"Burton Bonded...best hoodie fer yer money!!" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Bonded
  • Pros:  Lightweight, looks great
  • Cons:  Zipper was a little stiff at first, but it's worked itself out just fine now.

Experience:   This hoodie keeps ya warm, even though it's quite lightweight. Living in Florida, this is all I need to keep me warm! Ya can't go wrong with this item!
"Burton Cartels" 2/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Cartel 2008
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Out of the three pairs of bindings I currently own, which include a pair of Flow bindings as well as the Burton Mission, the Cartels are the lightest. I absolutely love the baseplates that come with these bindings because it simplifies the installation with regards to Burton's somewhat confusing 4x4 mounting pattern. I would like to mention that the toe strap slipped a bit on my trailing boot, but I determined that I was cinching it down a bit too low on the toe. Once I figured this out I never had another problem w/ slippage. Bottom line here: you can't go wrong with the Cartels!
"Great Binding for the Money" 10/22/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Mission
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are so clean that it seems something should be missing, but let me tell you: there's more adjustability in these babies than other competitors higher-end models! The ratchets are super smooth!!
