"The essence of a Recon" 9/1/2008
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Forum Recon
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Great value, Well known brand

Experience:   I bought this board last season and only got to ride it once, but it was a nice board (aside from the fact it was too small for me). The board has a nice float to it and it holds a real nice edge. It can keep up with some speed too. It was a good all mountain freestyle board, I didn't take it to the park so I am not sure how it will handle rails and such but jibbing on some groomers it was fine.

Also it comes in such stylish colors there is no reason not to grab one of these. The price may seem steep but trust me it is worth every penny.

  • Name: 2008 Capita Mid Life Artist
  • Pros:  What else can be said, this is TJs board so you know it is legit. This board is a true twin but unlike most it is a little wider so it better fits a large variety of riders. Also it has a centered stance and an awesome flex, this board kills it all over the mountain.
  • Cons:  The only con I have found is the graphics, they look a little childish for me but the board itself is perfect.

Experience:   This board is amazing for a more technical rider who wants to shred all over the mountain and go huge like TJ
"great park shredder" 1/15/2008

It is super flexible and super poppy, yet can hold any press like its nothing. This board is great for someone who wants to progresss in the park and rep the best company around!

"best stick of the year" 1/15/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Capita Stairmaster
  • Pros:  The CAPiTA stairmaster is one of the best sticks I have ever shredded in my life. This board can kill it no matter where you take it. I take mine in the pow and on the groomers and it still rocks my socks. The flex pattern is sick and helps to butter anything and everything and its super lightweight makes it super easy to spin. This board is definately a park killer with its centered stance and true twin shape.
  • Cons:  It is a little unstable at high speeds but it makes up for it in the jib department

Experience:
"Killer" 1/15/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Bullet
  • Pros:  The graphics are bangin on this board. More importatnly though this board is a killer for those of us with rather large feet. With a waist of 260mm it is sure to be great for those with large feet. Also it has a slight setback that will allow you to shred this stick on any day, even in the POW. Burton used a special base on this board to make it faster and more durable as well.
  • Cons:  It is directional so it is not the best to jib on. It is a beginners board.
