"fun shoe" 11/21/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Gemini Skate Shoes Women's
  • Pros:  comfortable, inexpensive,
  • Cons:  fits small,

Experience:   thought i'd gamble on these...liked the style and they were pretty cheap. turns out i had to size up on these. usually wear a 7.5-8 but had to go with an 8.5. i have a wide foot though. overall good value but not sure how much i'll wear them.

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Lowdown Slip On Leather Skate Shoes Women's
  • Pros:  comfortable, clean look, easy on and off, great price
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   for $13 you really can't go wrong with these shoes. I love slip ons cuz they're easy to put on and the leather upper has a great look and feel. was pretty much what i was hoping for.
"sick powder board" 2/15/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Fish Blem Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Chop,Powder
  • Pros:  great in powder, with est binding you can adjust for stance options, super floaty

Experience:   sweet ride. i just picked up a fish this season after wanting one for years. sadly the weather in the sierras hasn't quite cooperated to its full potential this season but i'm sure i'll get more use out of it. I've only rode it on one true powder day and it was a dream. super floaty and really just blew threw the thick sierra slop that can slow me down. ive ridden it on groomer days as well and it carves pretty well. I don't ride park or switch, just cruise down the hill. wouldn't recomend switch since it's very directional. The nice thing about the icis system is you can adjust your stance for different conditions really easily, not just left and right or in the preset holes, but pretty much anywhere on the board, and you can move your bindings further toward one edge over another, which I like since i have small feet and prefer to have my toes closer to the toe edge. it's a great ride to have in your quiver for the pow days, but honestly I could ride it most every day of the season!
"simple bag for day trips" 1/9/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Sierra Logo Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  price, durable, good capacity
  • Cons:  no padding, wouldn't take on airplane,

Experience:   I won this bag and use it as my day bag to the mtn. Haven't used it on an airplane but I have another larger, more padded bag for that. This bag is pretty simple, one layer of cordura, but I can fit two boards with bindings or one board and boots, helmet, etc. For the price, it's a good bag and protects my gear on the road to and from the mtn.
"tailbone padding is lacking" 12/30/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Red Base Layer Short Padded Shorts
  • Pros:  good side padding, good fit,
  • Cons:  poor tailbone padding,

Experience:   got these for my girlfriend for xmas. the side padding looks really strong but the padding on the tailbone area just seemed too weak and thin to do any good. We got the pro-tec ones instead and they had sizable rear padding that will hopefully work out.
